I propose that we have a weekly thread to discuss the blacked out or obfuscated news stories for the week.

  • China launched a space station. Yes, a space station. There was minimal coverage in the US. Link

  • Deutsche Bank is being hit with a fine for the 2008 crisis that is nearly equivalent to the Apple tax bill in Ireland. Seems like a huge coincidence - is this tit for tat with the EU? Link

  • BDS protesters kicked out of NY city council meeting that was discussing condemning those who criticize Israel link

The Philippines is facing calls for an international investigation into its president, Rodrigo Duterte. A self-confessed hit man has alleged Duterte ordered numerous murders while he was a city mayor. Edgar Matobato, 57, told a senate hearings panel that in the 1990s, he had seen Duterte - then mayor of Davao - shoot a man dead and order assassinations. Matobato said he was a member of a "Davao death squad" which had killed hundreds of Duterte opponents and suspected criminals and had even fed a man to a crocodile.

Dude, I live in Auburn, AL, and several stations here have already run out, and most others are imposing 10 gallon limits. And I haven't seen hardly any coverage other than an article at al.com.

Try to keep a full-ish tank to stay on the safe side. Refill every time you drop to 3/4. Hopefully the shortage won't last more than a week or so. The amount of the spill is surely just a drop in the bucket compared to how much is actually being produced.

I definitely saw the first two you claimed werent talked about on the nbc nightly news this week.

The "space station" is roughly the size of one single room in the ISS. Hint hint: it holds 2 people for 30 days, its barely a space station.

I looked into the Chinese "space station". It's a prototype module for their planned full scale space station. Proof of concept basically.
