Julian Assange is one of the most important truthers of our time. We still have zero proof he is alive and well. Words and post production video dates are insufficient.

The video conference that Assange called into is not solid evidence of his well-being. The opening slide said Oct 18, and Assange said nothing about having to flee, only that his internet connection was cut off, which matches the challenges he was experiencing that past weekend, not talking about fleeing.
With the decrease in security of the embassy, both overt and covert, one can only assume Assange is no longer there, no matter where he is.
The Embassy he was staying in reported they cut off his Internet access on the previous Saturday (15th), announcing this on the 18th. Also, the video conference had a superimposed date in yellow of Oct 25 (or thereabouts), attempting to convince viewers that it was up to date content.
John Pilger wrote a great piece about the propaganda weapon that Western governments use to subvert independent nations into submission for massive profits, including the war machine. Pilger said Assange is fine with no proof. I assume he merely sees that Wikileaks is still publishing podesta email releases, but these are automated, using a stochastic algorithm. One of the few needs here for proof of (healthy) life a signed message using wikileaks PGP keys. Yet these requests are being censored on Twitter and /r/wikileaks.
If you know Assange is ok and not taken by the CIA, interpol (etc), provide sufficient proof, don't just say "To all those worried, he's fine".

It's possible that they got a recording of him practicing for the conference before they captured him, which provided the perfect cover. They could have bugged the room or stitched bits and pieces from other recordings together too.

Its all about the dead mans switch. The disconnection of Assange's internet and these death rumours. Not enough to trigger the switch, but enough to cause panic in the ranks so everyone with knowledge of the trigger is contacted.
Once known, these people can be neutralized/stopped from throwing the switch or the switch itself can be located and diffused. Such persons may not be in the public eye and thus acted on convertly without significant repercussions.
