Besides the other obvious part... searching for duplicate digital files is incredibly easy to do. If most were duplicates, it would be easy enough to filter through those.

You know how sometimes you email back and forth about 10 times? Well you only then need to process the last email in the reply chain, instead of the 9 preceding. It makes a helluva lot of sense if you turn on your brain. The same way the initial dump probably also had many many many more emails (counting cc's, bcc's, etc) but boiled down to whatever the exact number was after filtering down. The same probably happened here, with some being duplicates and the rest being easy to process. But hey, don't let reason get in your way.

Try it once, scroll down an email chain and modify something. Then reply with your response as you normally would. All future replies to your version of the chain will now incorporate that modification.

You must have remarkably little clue of computer science if you don't think it's easily verified/checkable. All you need is to do is run a diff over two same emails/emails in that chain and you can catch anything like that instantly.

The response is based off of the example in in which you Only take the last email in the chain as the validation. Had the chain been modified in any of the previous replies to that chain, the one you're looking at will contain that modification should it end up in the Last version.

No. they pull all 650,000 of your work emails from the server and cull the data through a program looking for keywords, looking for sender data. The common misconception with this investigation was the FBI was looking classified stuff in HRC's email. That wasn't really at all what the deal was. People all over the State Dept were using private email to print and move things. It happened all over the place. What the FBI was trying to figure out was: did HRC do this maliciously to hide things. They concluded basically that she doesn't know how computers work and that her State Dept staff was full of morons. That's not intent.

My guess is its a lot easier to a few thousand emails and run some searches on them than to getting to the bottom of why she was doing govt. business out of her own computers.

If you filter out all those not going to or from the suspect servers, then filter all the ones that are exactly like the ones you have already looked at, how many are left? I am betting very few. If those very few are innocuous it could be over very rapidly.

Clearwell for example is used by just about every fortune 500 company to scan email for legal holds. It could be very easily tuned to scan through these emails -- culling them down by 95%.

Because that is likely what the warrant requires. You can't simply get a warrant for all information on a computer, you get a warrant for evidence pursuant to a crime. For the FBI, I suspect their investigation has very distinct parameters. They are investigating whether HRC illegally sent or received classified information while secretary of state. Therefore, all they need to do is cross match the 650,000 with the 30,000 they already have, and look at the specific subset which were sent or received by Clinton, while SOS. This takes seconds to do if things are properly set up, and likely resulted in no or a very small number of emails.

Every day this subreddit is filled with things about imminent "false flags" that don't happen, made-up things that are 100% debunked in about 10 seconds, and claims about satanic imagery that's almost undoubtedly a coincidence 99% of the time.
