Are there any GOOD secret/not so secret societies?

I'm not really an expert on the Illuminati, NWO, etc. but recently have become convinced there there are shadowy players with evil motives. But are there any organizations that are actively and knowingly fighting against them?

Salvation army. Shriners.

Salvation Army covered up child abuse on massive scale in Australia. Pretty similar to Catholic Church. People finally starting to acknowledge what victims have been saying.

Yeah. My answer was off the cuff. I suspect any secret society has something twisted or it wouldn't be a secret. I'm not sure that the salvation army is very secretive in the first place.

Yeah even the good old SA has their secrets :( As always, "sunshine is the best disinfectant".

This. Also in US. They are trafficking children and laundering $.

You have to be a mason to be a shriner if I am not mistaken.

Uh, maybe he means secret societies that don't regularly hold parades. Deeper.

There's the problem. What if I told you that the blue turtle society does amazing work but never takes credit. Because they are secret nobody knows. And being secret, knowing the name doesn't mean anything either.

Then someday, some cosmic mechanism will reward them with elevation to a different level. Just like you and I can type this as two intelligent people that are not racoons or bears but have somehow deserved hearts and minds, I do believe that the "universe consciousness engine" will reward them in some way.

While I appreciate that those groups are "doing good", I specifically was more interested in whether there are organizations that are literally fighting those in the shadows, e.g. infiltrating and destroying sacrificial cults, etc.

Something like that would actually be kept very close to the vest. If anything leaked it would be over and they would disband.

i would think that any "secret" society is probably not good.

for real, think about it: if it's good, why would it be "secret"?

What are your feelings of being anonymous online?

It's an illusion.

anonymous is good -- but living in a world where surveillance is the norm, does it even matter anymore?

Think about what I said, and what you said. That is the point, mate ;)

Ill be honest. Ive never though about it in this light before. It would certainly be advantageous to be in an anonymous or "secret" society if your fighting anyone with power, good or evil.

Exactly. Cannot have good without the bad. Cannot have light without darkness. One man's freedom fighter, is another man's terrorists. Secrecy is a double edge sword.

oh - my bad, i misread, (had a hectic day).

i'm sure there are organizations that are doing 'real' good, helping those in need. but to actually name any that are opposed to the negative societies would be difficult, as i would think they would not want to be known. i'm sure there are 'groups', or whatever you'd want to call them that are "fighting the good fight against evil".

it's my belief that the world has reached a climax where it has come to a "war" to save our planet/our species against "evil".

people may say that they believe there is true evil in the world, however i doubt they truly realize it & if they did it would stun them to no end.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower set up a secret cadre of Marines with a mandate to A) handle all things extraterrestrial, and B) protect the constitution, and to my knowledge, that group has been actively working to fight all the corruption that's been going on.

Captain Randy Cramer is the public spokesperson of this group, and according to him, strides are being made against the secret dark cabal they're against.

Not sure about that particular person, but I tend to believe that such groups exist, such as the JASON committee . I also think we are witnessing that fight being brought out into the public.

He struck me as pretty legitimate based on this and this.

mormonmafia

The very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are, as a people, inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings.

I think wikileaks is the prototype for what real resistance looks like.

From what I have read, the original Illuminati were fighting against TPTB.

Not sure if this is still valid.

Not infiltrating them, but serious Christian churches call them out from time to time. Like 70% of methodist pastors in the u.s. are masons, and I imagine other denominations are comparable, but those outside this infiltration will call them an evil conspiracy. I dont have any data on hand, but I believe the orthodox church is fighting them. Catholics did historically fight them, but after the assassination of Jon Paul 1, they've been towing the line. Anytime they get out of pocket, some preist rape case sufaces, burying some lead and further destroying their already tattered reputations. The cases are often true, but the timing of the busts are suspect.

Interesting. This is news to me. I mean, organized religion gives me an offput on its face, then pedophile Catholics, but that's a majority of a demographic that thrive in secrecy. Can't be good.

What do you think the crusades, Inquisition, witch hunts and witch trials and so forth and so on were really about?

The occult has been organized and malevolent and parasitic for thousands of.years.

The Roman Catholic Church, for all its faults, has been the only organization in history that showed a consistent ability to beat down the occult and keep it restrained. That ended in world war two with Vatican 2.

IMO, there are both nefarious and good secret societies, all across the world... They've been fighting long before the Great Deluge..

Name one 'good' secret society. S'il vous plait.

Your answer although doubtful is the NSA, FSB, MI6 etc...

There are many strong patriotic heroes working hard to fight against evil in these organizations.

There are also parasites hiding in their midst.

The agnostic illuminati are a meritocracy that I believe might be a positive group. I imagine they reach out to people they believe are qualified and remain anonymous for obvious reasons.

That's a stretch.

I think you mean "Gnostic", as in "we know the truth".

But all of these masonic / kabbalists organizations are like wizards guilds in dungeons and dragons. Joining doesn't make you good or evil. Both are present.

Yup, Gnostic is what I meant. double shift makes me a bit wonky at times. There has been a lot of talk about the "alliance" lately. Both the "earth alliance" and the "secret space program alliance"

My problem with most of these clubs is they let anyone in. I imagine that there might be a vetting process as you move up. Clearly there are a lot of bad groups out there that are cabal related like skull & bones. This question reminds me of a video I just recently watched about the ruling elite and their not so secret society, but I think its relative.

Yes there are benevolent secret societies, one cant go without the other or this universe would be a much much darker place ! Also you should consider that there are those that fall into "gray line" and they are unpredictable but balanced, they might actually be the ones that hold TRUE power.

There are internal conflicts on the planet for at least 5000 years and in today's world a smallest mistake could be fatal.

Short answer:NO.
