Londoners: There will be a peaceful protest outside of the Ecuadorian Embassy today (Nov 20) at 1 pm. We will demand to see Assange. At least 20 people are expected, probably a lot more.

Powerful people want Assange dead, that's a known fact
1 AryaStarkBirdPerson 2016-11-20
They arent going to shoot him from a window... Come on now.
2 NotNowImOnReddit 2016-11-20
They've had heart-attack gun technology for 40+ years. You don't think they've figured out how to make that shit long range and accurate by now? If not that, then they've gotta have something that can discretely take him out if they get him within their sight.
1 Tinie_Snipah 2016-11-20
This is why no one takes this sub seriously
Fucking long range heart attack guns
1 NotNowImOnReddit 2016-11-20
The CIA disclosed their heart attack gun in 1975. A pistol designed to fire a pellet of poison that was small enough to be imperceptible, the pellet designed to dissolve in the body, and the poison would cause a heart attack.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LO6tiD5Dy0
So what's so ludicrous about them developing a long-range rifle that could do the same thing?
Of all the reasons this sub isn't taken seriously, and there are a lot of reasons, this shouldn't be one of them. This technology, and least in the hand gun version, has already been disclosed.
1 HorusNoon 2016-11-20
No kidding that it is a known fact. But if he's assassinated with a sniper bullet while at the window, it would give credence to everything wikileaks has done; he would achieve martyrdom. The Elite don't want people thinking of Assange as saint for the next 50 forseeable years. They would make him disappear, not kill him in broad sight.
9 Snarfnugget 2016-11-20
Well we would know he's dead then... solves that question.
7 krashnburn200 2016-11-20

There is no source to this article, in fact this is the only article that has such an outrageous number. Pensacola bay center, where this rally was held, has a maximum capacity of less than 15,000. This article is simply not true.
Edit: Half of the comments on this article are pointing out that this story isn't even true! Nice try.
16 shyguybri45 2016-11-20

1 NotASucker 2016-11-20

10 OB1_kenobi 2016-11-20
Twenty protesters at random location, no.
Twenty protesters outside the Ecuadorean embassy where Assange may or may not be....?
Context matters.
31 treebeard189 2016-11-20
Do you know how many small protests are held outside various embassies around the world each day?
-3 flovmand 2016-11-20
And most of them have exactly zero implications to the entire fucking world. Context. Do you understand it?
21 rkk2 2016-11-20
Neither does Assange though.
People care about him here. Most people don't.
-4 denizen42 2016-11-20
Thank you MSM!
7 rkk2 2016-11-20
I will say his nomination for time man of the year might change things. Other than that I stand behind what I said. Ask a random person if they know about Assange. They might be able to tell you he is the Wikileaks guy. They probably won't be able to tell anything about him being hauled up in the embassy. Hell, his rape thing got more coverage than that.
But, yeah, I'm just a shill coming here to spread misinformation. In my free time I also like arguing with brick walls.
5 treebeard189 2016-11-20
Assange has a bigger implication to the entire world than say global warming, a Russian land grab of Crimea (at least in the eyes of the protestors),nuclear weapons, war in the middle east or the hundreds of other issues people protest about?
I mean Assaange is a big political figure but let's not start saying he is the biggest thing in the world right now
1 therealcatspajamas 2016-11-20
You've got it all wrong silly! It only gets covered if they're protesting against Assange

Why the fuck would MSM cover a dozen or so neckbeards rallying outside an embassy. At any given time in London there's protests going over something, and by OPs own admission, it was cold, windy, rainy, and not that many people there.
Unless it got violent and a commotion started, this is less newsworthy than the crowds that gather on Speakers Corner.
Fill the street, have an extended protest focused around a single decisive and clear message, and maybe you'd get a one-line summary.
I'm not trying to be snarky, but given that nothing has changed with his situation in the last week, there's no news here.
7 Sir_smokes_a_lot 2016-11-20

Be careful while you're there. If the protest starts to grow in size watch for people trying to shift the tone. Also watch people's foot wear. If they are wearing work/military/police style boots they could be agitators.

Like, what exactly are you contributing to the conversation?
22 Swanksterino 2016-11-20
Fashion sense.
-8 rsnauth 2016-11-20
Oh ok, so it's not trying to be dismissive towards the idea of agent provocateurs. Simply zero common-sense of when to make "jokes"
Got it.
9 enantiomorphs 2016-11-20
It doesn't sound like you got it.
9 svladcjelli42 2016-11-20
The comment implies, via the joke's subtext, that identifying agent-provocateurs by their footwear may be a less-than-foolproof system.
Now that you know the purpose of the comment, feel free to reply to it in a more meaningful way. Perhaps you have a counterargument to offer. Perhaps you feel that people wearing work boots are always agent-provocateurs. Perhaps you are aware of a little-known London byelaw, requiring that undercover law enforcement officers wear a particular style of shoe while on the job.
5 wheeldog 2016-11-20
A wee bit of jocularity to ease the tension. I appreciated it.
11 rolandog 2016-11-20
Indeed, the US and Mexico have had covert agitators in protests so that people think less of the protestors.
4 thelegendhimself 2016-11-20

2 Freqwaves 2016-11-20
La Vanguardia is a good source.
10 Absentia 2016-11-20
If I goto a protest that has the possibility of a march I always wear my black combat boots. Don't be prejudiced on footwear alone.
10 f_bastiat 2016-11-20
As someone who experienced a protest infiltration first hand during occupy, they wear whatever footwear they want.
10 acurafail 2016-11-20
People like to regurgitate that footwear thing, since it makes them feel like they have the knowledge needed to avoid such a trap.
The same thing gets trotted around by people at music festivals regarding the DEA.
And then they are surprised when it turns out the guy with the knarly 6 foot dreads and mud covered feet was in fact an undercover.
I guess it's good to be aware that they might drop the ball like that, but it's pretty unlikely. Especially given how much of a trope it is amongst people trying to be aware.
5 _somebody_else_ 2016-11-20
Short & petite female metropolitan police officers dressed as raver girls were making the rounds at various London music festivals too.
3 KharakIsBurning 2016-11-20

Pamela Anderson was here today. Just seen her.
17 Quickstrike93 2016-11-20
She is part of that whole spirit cooking squad. Don't trust her.
4 Sabremesh 2016-11-20
No photos?
6 Outside3hans 2016-11-20
Did get a photo, will upload later with description etc when at a computer
The one chap there told me this.. He saw an 'important looking lady' come out of the embassy pre me arriving, car waiting for, she said to driver wait I'm going for coffee first. Then when I was still standing/talking with him he said 'that's the important lady there' (women in all white approaching car outside embassy), it was pretty clear it was Pamela straight away. He did not realise this till I mentioned so.
1 wycks 2016-11-20
Pam saw him on the 14th and mentions he went to the window, not sure if this is actual photo.

Yes she visits him often, they were introduced by Vivien Westwood , they are both JA supporters.

8 Quickstrike93 2016-11-20
Are you shouting for Assange? Ring the doorbell?
1 Outside3hans 2016-11-20
Guy who was already there rang doorbell asking to talk to Assange, told nope.
7 MaskUnderMask 2016-11-20
He didn't come to the window for these guys 6 days ago http://uk.reuters.com/video/2016/11/14/pro-assange-protest-held-outside-ecuador?videoId=370461101&videoChannel=75 , doubt he will today either, especially as I can't find a single tweet or anything about anyone even being there!
7 conspiracytheorist10 2016-11-20
He didn't come to the window because he isn't in the embassy anymore.
1 RebootTheServer 2016-11-20
How did they get him out with no one seeing?
7 Quickstrike93 2016-11-20
We're doing it again either next Thursday or Sunday. Stay tuned.
5 Sabremesh 2016-11-20
Great initiative. Please record what you see and report back to us!
4 porphyria 2016-11-20
Wouldn't it be ironic if Assange came to the window to greet the concerned masses, only to promptly get shot by the sniper that has waited for weeks on the building across the street?
17 DeletesAccounts0ften 2016-11-20
Wouldn't that confirm everyone's suspicions, if a sniper assassinates a head figure in what may be the biggest uncover of government corruption in US history? Sounds like a really stupid idea you'd only see in a Hollywood movie.
7 TavixVi 2016-11-20
Not to mention, if they were willing to shoot him through a window in front of witnesses, they would have shot him a long time ago.
4 -imagininnn- 2016-11-20
There has to be a reason that he has not released a POL video at the very least. IMO it must be because he cannot. Guessing he is not there anymore.
Thanks Obama /s

2 Bourbone 2016-11-20
So some agency can assassinate him? No thanks
2 Pfunk781 2016-11-20
It's about time, I hope there's a large turnout. I would like to see this happen everyday, keep the pressure on. I want to believe Wikileaks has not been compromised but the timeline of events is suspicious
2 austenten 2016-11-20
On Assange's video promoting The Wikileaks Files book on C-Span, he said there was about $20 million of surveillance dedicated to him around the embassy, not including MI6. This includes both covert operatives in rooms in neighboring buildings, and OVERT funny looking vans parked at the curb.
When you were there, did you notice how empty the area was? I'm guessing there wasn't a single overt surveillance van parked outside. This would be a clear sign Assange is not inside the embassy.
1 StanishInquisition 2016-11-20
I think they dialed back the surveillance at some point
2 Mr_Grabby 2016-11-20
Wish I could be there for this :/ sadly, I live an hour out side of Chicago in America haha
1 ThisGuyH3RE 2016-11-20

2 NoEgo 2016-11-20
Question: How often did Assange show himself in the past?
2 lisabauer58 2016-11-20
I sure would like to hear about what happens. Maybe if enough people show up he will come out and speak (if he is there). But I have a bad feeling something has gone terribly wrong.
2 nut_conspiracy_nut 2016-11-20
I think it is a dangerous idea, for him that is. A sniper could easily take him out.
1 bitcoin_noob 2016-11-20

1 Wat1381 2016-11-20
@JohnPilger twittered last night that his interview was filmed inside the embassy on October 30th. So it's only been 20 days?
2 austenten 2016-11-20
Pilger was probably blackmailed to say these things and promote the idea Assange is still alive. Given the video, it is blatantly obvious Assange wasn't in the same room.
And please nobody share the video of the put words in Bush's mouth again, I know it exists, I saw it at least a year ago, and it would't be a very good quality comment, "Well they can do this now..."

More fake news. It's actually hilarious, considering WikiLeaks' twitter linked to a 4chan post by an anonymous person (this sub loves anon 4channers) who claimed to be a former member of WikiLeaks and that WikiLeaks is compromised. WikiLeaks, in their tweet, called this "black PR" to discredit future releases by them.
In essence, you have thousands of low-IQ, irrational people thinking Assange is gone and on the other side, you have WikiLeaks claiming this is a government black propaganda campaign.
Of course, both are wrong. The reality is that this sub has seen several viral hoaxes (like WikiLeaks' tweet spell out HELP or that weird Adobe software effect on Assange's eye) that the irrational people here believe.
4 StanishInquisition 2016-11-20
You wanna tone down the dismissiveness a bit? People have real reasons to be worried and many of the people associated with WL have actually died, some under mysterious circumstances. I agree the paranoia is tiring, but not necessarily misplaced.
3 some_random_kaluna 2016-11-20
And meanwhile, we have photographic proof of a newly-created London "counter-terrorist" cop sitting in his car supposedly right outside the Ecuador Embassy, playing with the stock of his brand new Sig Sauer MCX rifle, because who else buys those particular weapons when the AR-15 is so prevalent.
It's not hard to see the conspiracy going down, after all.
3 bitcoin_noob 2016-11-20

This a screenshot from the crap video I took earlier just to evidence her presence from my perspective. Not a fan of filming strangers. I'm shit at reddit, posting from phone, so please excuse this mess. Just confused really what she is up to in all this..
Brief summary of today's highly uninteresting events from the time while I was there...
My personal assumption is she is a red herring there to intentionally mislead us into thinking he is still inside. But that's only because I presume John Kerry's visit last month changed the situation seriously.
Either way she was there for whatever reason.
Sharing this as y'all are better at exploring the depths of connections.

9 Beastabuelos 2016-11-20
He's telling you that you shouldn't have said could of or would of. Those aren't proper phrasings. It's could've and would've.
You're the only one that sounds like an ass here
1 quiksnap 2016-11-20
LOL. No. Anyone that spell checks people on the internet are pretty dumb. Just my two cents.
2 phillmorton82 2016-11-20
Thanks I kinda agree!
I mean yeah, I got the grammar wrong, thats a fair point. But just commenting just to correct my grammar.
1 bullseyes 2016-11-20
Sorry, I have a feeling my comment would have come across better if I had said something like this --
The simple truth is that small nuances in written/typed text do matter -- that fact is evident, seeing how my comment was misconstrued as being rude when I was really just trying to help out. Similarly, if you're corresponding with someone who knows that it's "could have" or "would have" instead of "could of" or "would of", you will be more positively regarded if you use the correct phrase. That small detail can make a bigger difference than most people think. It's just a useful thing to know, especially in cover letters, resumes, and even more trivial things like Tinder chats. Even if people say they don't judge others on these things, if they notice the mistake, they are making an evaluation on a subconscious level at the very least.
Anyway, I'm sorry my correction came across as me being a "pompous ass"! That was absolutely not my intention. I was just thinking your communication would be more effective if you knew the correct phrase (i.e. "could have" instead of "could of") -- which I thought would be good since you seem to have valuable things to say, and I wouldn't want people to discount your opinions just because of a grammar error. I hope you enjoy your week.
2 phillmorton82 2016-11-20
No, please It was my fault too for misunderstanding and getting my back up.
And this reply is amazing!!
0 bullseyes 2016-11-20
I was just trying to help out. The fact of the matter is, if you're corresponding with someone who knows that it's "could have" or "would have" instead of "could of" or "would of", you will be more positively regarded if you use the correct phrase. It's just a useful thing to know, especially in cover letters, resumes, and even more trivial things like Tinder chats. Even if people say they don't judge others on these things, if they notice the mistake, they are making an evaluation on a subconscious level at the very least.
I should have said, "Not meaning to be rude, but it's actually 'could have' and 'would have' :)".
1 phillmorton82 2016-11-20
OK, sorry. As there was no context to his post I thought he was being a pompus ass. As in he was being arsey in the sense that I could of gone down to London if I tried. You know the phrase "could'a, would'a, should'a" ... as it was my fault that I have no money to pay for an over priced train ticket to London.
There was no context that it was a grammatical issue.
Maybe expanding on his comment, instead of being a grammar nazi. Personally, even as I was duly wrong to assume his stance, the fact he was just correcting my grammar ... still makes him sound like a pompus ass.
4 chadwickave 2016-11-20

"Nor will it actually work and anyone see Assange." If he is there, you never know. They might make enough noise to draw his attention and to make him poke his head out for a moment. I don't think anyone has tried that yet, and it's worth a shot, to give us all peace of mind.
Well, you certainly have a negative view of it, seeing it as a "waste of time." But for many of those going, it's a great opportunity to socialize, to support one another and to experience a feeling of solidarity... To come together and to exchange thoughts, feelings and ideas. Who knows where it could lead to, and what the benefits will be from this gathering?
Furthermore, it's only a couple of hours. There's no need to judge them so harshly and assume that they don't already make positive contributions to society. Not everyone is interested in or cares about the exact same things, and that is okay. Just because you don't believe in this cause doesn't mean you need to belittle, degrade and act dismissive towards those that do.

To be honest, you sound like a self centered asshole who happened upon doing a little good in the world, and now feel like you can call out others. Why don't you pat yourself on the back a little more you lame-ass. Absolutely no one here gives a fuck what popped into your head when you read the title, and your 'altruistic' pleading ffor others to perform acts of charity is nothing but self-serving narcissism. You have a long way to go before you are able to dole out the kind of effective change you wish to see in the world. And yes, this is important. Finding out if Julian Assange is alive, it even showing that there are folks wondering about him is far more important than scooping ladels of soup for a grungy vet in a soup kitchen
