That is a false story. Mcone was a Kennedy supporter and Dulles who was in charge of the commission new everything he did since he started all those operation himself. This is the CIA blaming someone who actually wasn't involved in the coverup. Dulles ran the coverup from inside the Warren commission himself.

That's it , misinformation. Though he wasn't his first choice, McCone was picked by Kennedy to clean up the CIA. He was against Operation Mongoose(Operation to kill Castro) which were the CIA elements involved in the assassination per EHoward Hunt. They are blaming the guy who tore down many of their ongoing operations. Not that he was completely clean he was behind a coupe de ta in Brazil.
