I went to Voat but never stayed. Why? There's no solid mobile phone app. I think without a good phone app or at least a mobile web layout, it will be hard for users to stick. 90% of my Redditing is done on my phone, and I would think it's the same for a lot of other users.

The only platform I am going to trust in the future will be a decentralized one with no centralized point of attack. im done with any platform run though a corporation, incorporated, for profit, ect because they all can be influenced just like reddit was.

Glad I made a quick assessment back when and left as quickly. Steemit to my mind is worse. It's totally control grid, so to my mind voat is better even if you get stupid bigotry like that.

There needs to be a way for people to elect to become invisible to anyone subscribed to those channels. That way, you can't cry about censorship, but instead you give everyone a powerful opt-in tool for real privacy.

Everyone wins. You can't (well you can but shouldn't) play wack a mole with assholes, you need to be able to disappear from their reality so they can't even know you are there and thus cannot attack you.

You also should be able to identify people across accounts and/or ban them from coming to your posts by removing your post from their perspective (lists), inhibiting them from responding to you and even seeing your name in discussions. "XXXXX in conspiracy had this to say" ... what are they going to say? "Tell XXX he's an asshole". Ok, fine.
