(Another redditor claimed to be a lawyer and said this. He might be total bs, Ive been to lame to verify). I don't believe you need special credentials to investigate something. This thread seems to be part of a large deterrent campaign to keep people from investigating and ignorant.
Take one day away from your computer. Go for a walk, read a book, listen to someone, do something nice for no reward. You're getting way too emotionally involved in something that is likely not going to do anything, but further distance you from the humanity in your real life and online.

Any site or forum of any kind that has moderators or administrators will be compromised. Your only real option is to use an IRC network which has a ChanServ robot to stop the channel being taken over by anyone else, but then make sure that no one has ops access to it.
Again; anything that has any kind of centralised administration will be owned and will become corrupt. You must figure out how to create online environments where there is no gatekeeper. It's the only way.
