Pizzagate: what on earth????

I'm a bit confused about Pizzagate, what it is and who is involved, along with evidence for it... Can someone maybe fill me in because I'm really interested but I don't know where to start

You know it's funny, people say there's no evidence..but to me it seems like there's a ton of it

Really? Name one piece of solid evidence and what crime is being committed
6 sh3rog 2016-12-07
Yeah cause detectives always have slam dunk evidence when they are investigating
Please you're acting like we're calling for a trial. We aren't, we are asking questions and getting shouted down for it

Trying really hard to bury this one.

its too bad "pizza" is the operative word because when anyone talks about it, to the uninitiated, the confusion is inevitable. "Pizza" was chosen for the theme of this scandal because supposedly, true life scumbag child abusers that post on various forums gave us all a hint, maybe two months ago (timing may be totally wrong, sorry if so). I have not personally seen the messages, but i read that these pervs were the first to recognize "pizza" references in John Podesta's emails. Leave it to pervs to tell us all how pervs must always communicate in code. That seems like a simplistic start, but the code words are hugely important. The FBI catalogs the code words they identify in their investigations, and in this case, corroboration between the FBI's intel and the hints from anonymous pervs is evident (obvious to some?) . Now put yourself in the shoes of an FBI agent...not at all an easy thought experiment no matter who you are. Agents may be looking at crime scene footage or pedophile websites, or lots of other horrible stuff that normal people cant handle. They just have to, and in the process, they determine any possible connections to uncover leads that will close their investigation ASAP. At least in theory they are actively pursuing justice; and that is the other side of the FBI coin. History has proven to anyone that listens to her, that the FBI will change their strategies away from traditional justice, and more towards an evolved justice that addresses modern intricacies of privacy and stopping crime. That second interpretation brings us to your question. The evidence that amateur investigators have access to at this moment would certainly be PART of the FBI's official case, but the feds wouldnt prosecute anyone until they consulted with the NSA, which would provide privacy protected intel, that amateurs could only hope and pray to ever look at. If the FBI is currently underway with these procedures then we only have to wait until they announce their findings. Until then, citizen investigators are poring over anything they can actually find, and they steadily compile their efforts at voat and other such sites. What makes these matters more interesting is how the interested parties are reacting in the past month. UN-interested parties that are denying everything possible are always hanging around also, waiting to pick fights and latch on to the attention around the entire story. Ask yourself : would I leave my kids at a party being held at any of the restaurants all on the same street in this old DC neighborhood?

Sometimes pictures speak louder than words. Good starting point to wet your appetite, self portrait of a central figure James Alefantis. It gets worse believe me, very dark topic, prepare to lose sleep. If you don't lose sleep you are sociopath. https://i1.wp.com/www.newnationalist.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/CyNO6vMUAAABY8x-1.jpg?resize=300%2C178

why dont you let the guy think for himself...
here's a basic summary with links
5 ProgrammingPants 2016-12-07
"Why don't you let the guy think for himself? Here's a source that presupposes one side of the issue is correct and is heavily biased towards that side. But it's my side so it's okay"
2 mozzaman 2016-12-07
It's circumstantial evidence. He's heard the "fake story with no evidence. That's all there is to say" line. So now let him here the other side (along with the evidence that was claimed to not be there) and decide which he believes. This is how critical thinking works. You here both sides and then critically decide which seems more likely

Let the guy think for himself. Those that dive into pizzagate, the majority come away feeling something isn't quite right. Why do you fear people reading about pizzagate?

It does make you wonder why some are so adamant to deny pizzagate. Where were all these people for 911, sandy hook, ufos, etc etc? Why such a push to discredit this with snarky comments?
3 Injectortape 2016-12-07
I can't understand why people don't just let it fall on its face if it's so stupid and baseless?
3 KingJames19 2016-12-07
This is what doesn't add up...
0 ProgrammingPants 2016-12-07
The thing with stuff like 9/11, there was actual physical evidence that it really happened.
Which is eons more than what anyone can honestly say about Pizzagate.
1 KingJames19 2016-12-07
And yet opinions like yours are the strong minority. More people believe in pizzagate than 911. Yet there a vocal minority telling us to stop looking. When really they can just stay the fuck out of the sub like they have for every other conspiracy. So what gives
3 errantdashingseagull 2016-12-07
Please. "9/11 was an inside job" is as basic as pumpkin spice.

On this subreddit. Take a fresh breath of air outside of your echochamber one of these days, buddy. Your opinions are not the opinions of the majority. Your echochamber is not reflective of most people.
For a group of critical thinkers, from what I've seen most people here fucking hate when someone challenges their opinion.
Which is odd, because you'd expect the exact opposite to happen among a group of critical thinkers. Weird.
Maybe I'm the dumb one and "Don't disagree with me, don't dissent, leave me alone" is the way real critical thinkers do it.
1 KingJames19 2016-12-07
You type a lot and comment a lot on a subject you don't care about
2 ProgrammingPants 2016-12-07
Where did I ever say I don't care about this?
1 KingJames19 2016-12-07
I don't believe in ghosts. Should I go find a sub about ghost and tell everyone how dumb they are?
2 ProgrammingPants 2016-12-07
I would not blame you in the slightest if people who believed in ghosts were sending death threats, slandering, and harassing someone, and you went on their sub to tell them how irrational the beliefs that led them to that behavior is. In fact, I'd commend you for your actions.
2 Azh1aziam 2016-12-07
Do you get paid per comment or how does shilling work?

So why did you try to do the thinking for the OP instead of letting him reach his own conclusion? If it's so stupid, then the 'evidence' should be your weapon, and you should be more than happy to share the evidence so that you can show how "stupid" it is.
