AQ and company are expanding in Africa recently. The US has slowly been moving assets there. China has been focusing on making friends in Africa lately.

Europe, Russia, Asia are all accounted for an over-flowing with refugees.. Africa is like the last free land everyone will fight over to influence i think.

Plus there was talk of the long term pre-populist EU building an Army to take to Africa.

What's AQ?

That's where the US will directly/indirectly engage with China. Watch Carey Fukunaga's "Beast of No Nation", which gives a glimpse of what might be going on.

He also directed True Detective season 1, and there is some serious "Carcosa shit" being revealed now with the email leaks. Should probably be an entire post about how close to the sun directors like Fukunaga, Denis Villeneuve and David Simon have flown.

Im very familiar with Fukunaga and Simon, but Im not very familiar with Villeneuve's stuff. Just saw Arrival tho. Got any links or a brief summary of what Villeneuve is up to?

No links/summary but I highly recommend you check out his 2015 film, Sicario.

Ohhhhh yeah, i forgot he did that one. Great flick.

He's doing Blade Runner 2049. There's a trailer that was just released. Doesn't come out until next fall though.

Libya is in Africa.

Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania.

All major players are putting chips on the table in this area.

They just found OIL there.

Gold.

Tanzania's largest export is gold.

With the world financial markets doing what they're doing, and soon crash of the petrodollar, everyone's gonna want gold.

Nigeria will probably play a large part in this due to its abundance in oil and our rising dependence on them.

"1) crude imports rose by 244,000 b/d (41%) in the first half of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, nearly three-quarters of which were supplied by Nigeria."
