Ha! The Clinton's desperately need the Russians to have hacked Podesta's emails so they can distract from the content of the emails. But doesn't that let the real leaker go free? To the Clinton-leaker, and Clinton staff, leak again! You'll get away with it!

Hillary had PRIVATE and ILLEGAL servers, which were compromised, and now she is blaming Russia?
Were is the proof? I guess innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply anymore.

I don't doubt the Russians hacked everything they said they did. I don't doubt the Russians were just one of many, but it's probably just a little too embarrassing to admit how embarrassing the cyber security within the US government really is.

Except, they already killed the "real leaker".
So, potential leakers have the following bright prospects:
leak important info
have it read by a fringe few
have the rest fully ignore you and the leak
be dead

It's not an either/or situation. They kill the leaker AND blame the Russians.

100%. Par for the course as far as the Hillary camp goes.

There are a lot of things from the election that need to be blamed or a lot of people with power now will become useless.

They desperately need the Russians to stop fighting their ISIS too. How perfect.

It's been widely speculated that the source of the DNC emails leak was DNC staffer Seth Rich. He was murdered mysteriously shortly before Wikileaks publicly released the DNC emails, and Julian Assange himself identified Rich as "an alleged Wikileaks source" before such allegations were even slightly credible.
Source for Podesta's emails is more speculative, but I think the most likely cause was a spear-phishing attempt. Whoever did it might still be out there and could possibly obtain/leak more material, but considering Clinton already lost the election, they likely have little incentive to risk getting murdered now.
