A 256bit encryption is the mathematical equivalent of 2256 key possibilities. To put that into perspective, 232 is about 4.3 billion, and it keeps growing exponentially after that. What does this mean though? Well simply put, let’s say hypothetically all the super computers in the world (the ultimate brute force attack) decided to group up and tasked themselves to decrypt your AES-256 key so they could access your data. Assume they could look at 250 keys per second (which is approximately one quadrillion keys/second – a very generous assumption). A year is approximately 31,557,600 seconds. This means that by using the one billion super computers required to do this, they could check about 275 keys per year. At this rate it would take these computers 234 years (the age of our universe) to look at less than .01% of the entire key possibilities. The bottom line? No one will be breaking your encrypted data at Canadian Cloud Backup.

I had forgotten about that internet outage. This post sparks my interest more than anything on this sub before. Also, is there anything I can do to prevent my internet from being used by government. IMO there are vpn's but they are all just "flags" that make you more watched. Nothing we do with digital communications isn't seen by the nsa. If you saw IP changes that is explained by moving servers, swapping some cables, messing with your config options or any of a number of other possible reasons related to networking. I was one of the first subscribers to that sub after I saw the blatant censorship campaign that the Wikileaks sub went through. Fully agree. My guess is the ddos was an attempt to use the bulk of computing power of the united states to crack the aes 256 encryption. Notice that wikileaks immedieatly chanted. IMO there are vpn's but they are all just "flags" that make you more watched. Nothing we do with digital communications isn't seen by the nsa. Additionally, do you think some law enforcement agency already had access to their servers and then moved them to ones they control for some reason? They already controlled the originals so why cause any discrepancies that people will definitely notice? I did an audio analysis of the Assange and Hannity interview and posted it in the most top rated thread devoted to the subject. I ended up getting the most upvotes in that thread.
I could have done that interview in 4 to 8 hours as long as I had enough material to comp from. If I had VoCo, which has not been released to the market yet, then that interview would be a one hour job. So no, my 16 years of audio engineering at a pro level tells me to not take the interview as pol. I was one of the first subscribers to that sub after I saw the blatant censorship campaign that the Wikileaks sub went through. The original mod seemed like a smart person and I had the highest opinion of the sub and it's creator. Now? It's controlled opposition. More concerned with controlling the narrative than investigating leads. It really kind of shocks me that iamdangerous let it go from the most anti-censorship forum to the gentle (but effective) censorship place it is now.
But like I said before, literally every sub got compromised (or shutdown) so there was no reason to think that it wouldn't be attempted on that one. But the part that surprises me is how the sub creator seemed to silently let it happen without protest.

We have no idea how many key holders could have readily been implicated behind the scenes. As a government utility scours through the hard drives back tracking the infrequent networks that Julian was embedded too.
For all we know they are all calling home asking "Julian You ok".
It makes perfect sense why they would attempt to continue business as norm; While also explaining why there was a direct shift in the wikileaks general personality during the heist.

All of this that you wrote, I would possibly maybe even give the slightest bit of backing too if not for the fact that one of the most respected investigative and high integrity journalists in the world was the person there doing that interview.
If anything, anything of a conpiracy were involved with John Pilger playing any part of it, it's that Assange has escaped to safety elsewhere rather than being killed or arrested/abducted.

There is absolutely nothing in your post that factually precludes him potentially escaping to Russia. Again, you raise many solid questions about how that might have gone down, but you haven't disqualified it as an option if you consider that Ecuador might have been compliant with/actively facilitated an escape.

My longshot hope is that everything you said is pretty much true... except we all know there has to be an ongoing coup behind the scenes at the intelligence agencies... not just in the US, but a few other places as well... I'd like to think JA is alive and well and is now "controlled opposition" he will not be releasing the really damaging files because he is in protective custody... and has been assured that justice will be served to all the badguys everywhere worldwide. To release the files wouldn't help his cause... at this point it would only cause hate and anger and civil unrest in a time when the world is already very volatile.
He will make a very public appearance and everyone will be certain he is alive... but only once all the baddies have been rounded up. Assange is dead. In which case, as a thanks to him, I will continue to hunt for the key, because if they killed to keep what is hidden in there a secret, it is time sensitive, and must be released. Assange is alive, but under duress. Maybe they attacked dills to his kneecaps. Maybe they just showed him a live feed of a sniper rifle trained on his children. Told him if he would release one detail, his kids would be gone. And the murderer would have diplomatic immunity. So now he sits there, knowing if he does just an other keystroke on an unmonitored machine, his kids could be dead. In which case, I continue the fight for assange, because, quite honestly, if my family was under hreat of people that were even half as capable as america in crimes against humanity and warcrimes, I would want someone to continue the fight.
The truth is very simple.
If Assange wants us to stop, he has the power. He can use a PGP signed message. he can invite multiple people in the embassy to film him. His choice. he knows what problems we face.

Which is showing things like digital communications that led to the interview; Photo opportunities, and various other investigative research tactics;
When you consider that an existing video of julian to date likely is worth over 1,000,000.00 usd. You would have to wonder why the cited article had failed to add any evidence to the argument; As well as having only included a stock photograph from some years ago. In comparrison to the facts I've listed.
So what I would consider is that I actually read this in full; Which I had; Which led me to writing this very post. As had you done your own research (reading my comments). Assange has done live video (Philger), audio (Spanish group) and interviewed with Swedish law enforcement. His family aren't worried about him...you know he has one right? Noting also that the interviewer didn't take a photo op which any dedicated press member would have taken the opportunity to do. Especially in this case (in light of the circumstances). As anyone with a photo of julian would greatly profit off of having the first official proof of having seen him.
Instead of doing a time tested (and generally required) photo op; There is no indication that a wall of text provides anything more than a time grab and conjecture.
