Brexit: Someone changed the Wikipedia text on the 1975 referendum that got the UK into the EU in an apparent attempt to suit the Wiki to talking points being repeated constantly on /r/worldnews

Someone changed the reference to the fact that the referendum which got the UK into the EU was non-binding just like the 2016 referendum. They changed the narrative to match that which you'll find on all threads on the subject on /r/worldnews :

The main talking point on the Remain camp is that this referendum is non-binding and that the UK doesn't have to actually carry out the result of the vote.
What made me check the Wikipedia edit history was this comment where he stated something different from the text I recall from Wikipedia from yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/5k8rw8/brexit_theresa_may_hints_britain_will_still_pay/dbn8zoi/?context=3
The text was just there yesterday and then several users kept replying to me saying the referendum is non-binding, simply because I said Brexit went against banking interests.
Call me nuts but I think a redditor changed Wikipedia to reinforce their talking point.
Check this out, same talking point repeated over and over and over ("referendum is non binding"):

Also check this, this guy said there were two referendums in 1974. There was only one. After this, the Wikipedia page got changed:

This site is rampant with propaganda. All the major subs have it. No discussion can be had without them being politically charged.
