In order to pardon Hillary, Bill, or Chelsea Clinton, President Obama must also pardon Himself.
He is already implicated in the crimes of the private server, how far will he be willing to go?
I maintain he will not pardon any of them.

I support your theory... He's broken. He knows that the kind of shit he'd be facing isn't just federal... it is on an international scale. I think he's playing nice... staying out of the HRC bullshit... and he'll get to walk away. HRC and the rest of them are gonna go down... but Obama won't pardon them or himself...
Oddly enough Chelsea comes across as somewhat honorable in this whole scandal.... I've read a lot of wikileaks and she was one of the very few rational ones.

Don't fall for Chelsea they sugar coated her because they hope to inflict us with her in the future. We'll be seeing her again and they won't wait to long.

If she was playing games back when she sent those emails in wikileaks knowing theyd get out and make her look good then I give her props for working on a whole other level.

I would too but I think it would not have been her call. Also, it might be that she didn't do anything good they just gave a glowing report of her behaviour. Dipped in sugar maybe she could fleece us in the future.

No... no one will ever trust her... and she is goofy looking... I'm just saying that from my approach to research she doesn't seem 100% bad like her mom... I think she takes after her dad... more complacent than evil... if her dad it WJC... I'm not so sure he is.

As someone who hasnt gone through all the wikileaks emails, any chance you could point me in the direction of the ones where chelsea clinton is involved?

It's a politico article... butt it should have links to the actual relevant wikileaks...

Ignore everything they say and just follow the wikileaks links and just for yourself... basically from what Ive run into going thru all the leaks paints a picture that Chelsea looked at how the foundation was run and said "WTF is going on here?!? All this sketchy money? This ain't right! Am I taking crazy pills?"

Thats how i generally go about it. Ill def take a look and see what there is to be seen, you pretty much echo what homeboi said

And then people from the board were like "Maybe Chelsea shouldnt be here."
TBH she doesn't even look like Bill so she's only half-Clinton. Still redeemable.

she brought in braverman to audit her parents and she was ruffling feathers at the foundation

I like this idea!

Both Hillary and Obama have committed treason. No question. What will be done about that remains to be seen.

Yes.

Don't forget, that pardoning anyone without trial is a tacit admission of their guilt in the crime that they are to be pardoned from.
1 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
Exactly.
2 TeslasMuse 2016-12-28
can he pardon all of her crimes? can pardons be reversed? is there a blanket pardon or is it on a crime by crime basis?
2 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
It's muddy.
He can pardon her/them of all crimes she/they "may" have commuted against the US, up until the moment he leaves office, but not beyond (which could possibly come into play for the first time in history!)
Afaik - pardons cannot be reversed.
1 misspook 2016-12-28
Can he do that?
1 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
Possibly. However - it would carry an admission of guilt.
1 misspook 2016-12-28
If the POTUS is able to commit a crime, and then simply pardon himself... all while remaining within the realm of legality... wouldn't this have been attempted in the past? For example - couldn't presidents impeached for their crimes just have admitted to their fault and relieved themselves of the consequences?
1 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
Yes and they have.
Edit: pardons aren't extended to impeachment. However, by pardoning others, former presidents (namely - Bill Clinton) have preemptively exonerated themselves of crimes.

Obama is more concerned with his legacy than anything else.
1 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
Yes. Which is why I think he won't do it.
1 jasenlee 2016-12-28
I've looked around but I can't find anything which definitively says whether or not a President can pardon him or herself. The best I can fin are articles like this which basically say "we don't know if it can be done because no one has ever tried".
1 lily_levasseur 2016-12-28
It would set a precedent, however, afaik, he may pardon himself in all instances outside of impeachment.

Assuming Clinton did break federal statute by having classified info on her unsecured, private server (which I do believe), what crime did Obama commit in relation to them? He sent her at least one email to that account, but it contained no classified information.
I'm no Obama supporter, and I'm sure he (and every other US president in at least the last 150 years) has committed felonies while in office, but I'm not sure what you could even pin on him with HRC's server.

I don't think Obama can pardon himself but I just thought of a convenient loop hole for him especially since it seems like the birth certificate thing is waiting around for him. I almost don't want to say it because it will most likely make it back to him from here and it is not the most upstanding way to go about it but it would keep him out of jail.
