The pedophile priests are a real issue, and it's one that stems from Vatican II. And you're right that every religion has its issues.

I just don't think those issues stem from the religion so much as human corruption of the religion.

That's good, I understand your point and religious groups that do not have a history of helping people, like scientology, for example, should still be something to be very cautious of. But sometimes people need help and can often find it in some religious institutions.

I agree with Frogreddit. I have gotten help with keeping my utilities on, as well as food. Just because they are a religious organizations doesn't make them bad. Are all cops good? Are all judges fair? You can throw all the people that fall into certain groups evil. Except politicians
