What's actually interesting about r/conspiracy is that the mods here allow people to challenge us challenging the official narrative. Its the only major political sub that doesn't have mods enforcing some fucked up groupthink censorship, which if you ask me is fucking great because that is truly what "conspiracy theory" is all about - questioning things.

It's also cool that this sub is secure enough that we allow people to question us. It makes sense - if you are the kind of person that questions official narratives, then you probably are a free thinker, which simply means that you aren't someone that kind of person that believes things simply due to societal pressure, which in turn translates you being able to tolerate being questioned yourself.

I just started browsing politics today and either there is really that many people who argue with people in the same fashion that they criticize. Often they mimic the same argument they cannot defeat and then add a slappy "tard, loser, trump supporter loser".

But what I find most alarming is that barely anyone in that sub promotes and follows their rules. No sources or evidence linked to support their claim.

I've only been browsing here for a few days. My impression is that there is a crazy amount of partisan stuff, check out OP here; they're overtly doing political trolling but that seems to have a ton of influence and support. The only force I've really seen against that are those who wander in by mistake, or like to be skeptical.

Generally this sub has always been about what is behind the political curtain. Candidate X is far down on the pyramid of power. This sub is typically more big picture stuff. It just seems artificial to me the sudden and complete 180 with non stop click bait political spam. Shit is making it to the front page of the sub with zero comments. I miss the quality over quantity aspect of this sub. When the front page did not move much throughout the day but the range of topics was broad and in depth. I believe the attempt to dumb down this sub with political spam is intentional

I avoid all political subs on this site. Especially T_D. This sub has taken a hit in quality since T_D took over during the election.

Absolutely. I can see and read perspectives from others all while getting a glimpse of what's really going on in the world. I feel a connection seeing POV from others around the world. So much to learn and see.

Lots of conspiracies are eye opening.

Great sub, 1st time I've felt part of a community, like you said.

If r/politics is considered a political sub then r/conspiracy is absolutely a political sub.

But of course because of freedom of speech here. I know the posts should have a conspiracy theme to therm but people feel more free here to express their opinions then most other subs. It's not over taken (yet) by shills, Karma Mongers or corporations.

This and crypto currency subs are the subs I visit.
