Isn't it ironic

Isn't it ironic how mainstream media talks mad shit on Trump's wall but doesn't talk about the wall in Israel that divides the Palestinians?

I just thought about this. Someone should make a meme on this one.

Isn't it ironic that people want a wall in the US but forget that Israel has a wall and is a authoritarian police state?

Damn, well said

Why, thank you. I'll be here all night :)

Upvote to you, sir!

slow clap. enough said. "i rest my case, your honor".

Would you feel differently if you understood that we already pay to upkeep a shitty series of fences and walls that need replacing or repairs everytime they get cut or broken? Or maybe if your friends and neighbors had to defend their land because cartels were trying use their land as a trafficking route or setting traps near your land? Maybe when you heard others talk about losing loved ones on motorcycle paths to intentionally placed razor wire at neck height?

Nah, maybe your right.. we should tear down that wall and let El'Chapo and the rest do what they want because they're probably some great people who just want to come over and make a living doing the jobs none of our unemployed want.

What makes you think a wall would do any difference? You do realize, walls are penetrable, right? I'm for stronger immigration control and borders, just not a wall. Methinks, walls keep people in, not people out.. And history agrees with me :)

you're right. america has been building its continental prison for decades. tis not a free country by any stretch

There's already a wall. Kind of. There are parts with citizens taking shifts patrolling too. What happens when they beef up security, then with no wall the next guy gets in office and slashes border security spending again. Man, that wall would sure sound nice all of a sudden. As far as keeping people in... In some respects yes... I don't see a lot of non-criminals making a run for the border at the moment though and I can think of lots of walls meant to keep approaching armies out.

Man (or woman), you username is giving me it (relevant). Think about what you are saying. Also, here is a quote, you should head, by a far more brilliant man than myself:

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

-Benjamin Franklin

I agree with the quote but the reality of what's happening on the border is made harsher without some sort of deterrence in place to protect the citizens lives and land..... two of three things the federal government should involve itself in with regards to citizens lives.

Let's play a game. What is the gov's job, according to the constitution?

Justice, wellfare, defence, and liberty? So applied to civilians lives we can say life, liberty, and property.

Are you saying this falls under defence?

Bingo, That (defense) is their only job!.. States also come into play (the point)...

So are you suggesting a standing army along the border, or more like an automated turret system? Maybe a swarm bot army to police the border? I don't see how any defensive measures would be much better than a wall. Ya they'd be more effective and more dangerous and oppressive for the citizenry. More expensive too.

I feel like a wall is the compromise. I really don't savor the idea either but something needs to be done.

How would you run a country in its position differently than a police state? I mean, the whole situation is... really shitty.

I have no right to rule over others. Anyone who thinks they do, is an enemy to freedom and liberty. I believe in self rule and Voluntaryism... We can rule ourselves, thank you. You do it everyday when you drive on the road, or walk into the store.... Think about it...

My point was that the environment there, being totally surrounded by people who fire rockets into your cities regularly, and would celebrate the deaths of every human within your boarders, is so dangerous that the only plausible way to hold that space is through absolute control. It sucks, it's horribly unideal as far as liberty and freedom go, but it's a hair better than what the alternative would bring for them.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

-Benjamin Franklin

Yeah that's what's going on there.

IDK, maybe they should go back to Eastern Europe? Khazars are not even semitic. Palestine was a land of true Jews and Muslims living along side each other... Shit got fucked when blonde hair, blue haired "Jews" stole the land. Also, who wants them dead? If you actually listen to Islamic leaders, they talk about Zionism, not Jews. You realize Jews are a protected minority in Iran, right? It's Zionist, aka. Fake Jews from Europe who are supremacists...

Thanks for the info.

Israel is only inciting the violence and giving them more reason to want to kill. There is no solution outside of mutual respect.... You wonder why they want to kill you? Maybe its the land you steal and the bom s you drop.

you're on of my people

:)

I personally wouldnt slowly be taking land forcefuly from my neighboring country. I wouldnt encourage illegal settlements either. I wouldnt publicly state that i want to completely remove them from the earth. I would advocate a neutral solution rather than "give us what we want to take or die."

Those paslestinians are getting pillaged and no msm coverage.

Or that fact that it's easier to get into America from Mexico than it is to get into Mexico from America?

Isn't that really just a function of the greater demand to get into the US than Mexico? If 10x (or 100x) the number of people wanted to sneak across the border into Mexico, you'd see the coyotes set up shop north of the border to ferry people south.

Probably.

I await the future famous speech that calls for the tearing down of this wall.

It's true but I am against the state of Palestine and in favor of stopping illegal immigration.

Have you heard of the three state solution? I was boggled when I saw it in a nonreddit comment a few weeks ago.
