The default subs don't have any official stance on anything, be it one side, the other side or neutral - they are simply a service used by reddit users, and because reddit users tend to be young and therefore left-leaning, the zeitgeist of those subs tends to be pro-left. The opinions of individual users is out of the hands of the moderators and admins.
T_D differs in that the zeitgeist, the consensus of that forum can never be changed, no matter who uses it. Whoever posts there HAS to tow the line, or they are excluded.
