So Mark Zuckerberg, who once said in regards to having every Facebook users private info: "I don't know, they trust me.. The dumb fucks..." is gearing up for a 2020 presidential run. Millions of morons will vote for this man.

And if he runs, he will probably win. HRC's problem was that she only had influence on the mainstream media, but not the right wing outlets. Facebook on the other hand has no political borders. President Zuckerberg omfg....
n/a RedTapedSpacePanda 2017-01-24
Hillary didn't win because she wasn't selected
n/a dandroid1_0 2017-01-24
She was sure as shit selected by TPTB, if that's what you mean. They are powerful, but they are not gods.
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-01-24
Uh. Have you seen her donors. Have you seen what Trump has done in a week?
n/a Technocroft 2017-01-24
If he runs, facebook needs to be terminated beforehand, well in advance, otherwise that 100% is an illegitimate presidency IMO.
n/a race_bannon 2017-01-24
What were your thoughts on how Trump handled his potential conflicts of interest?
n/a Technocroft 2017-01-24
Two completely different topics.
Both determine their actions while in the white house.
However, Zuckerberg can ensure he gets elected through his control of facebook - which is also why I said, it needs to be shut down, not transferred to a different owner well before he runs. Even selling it, the owners/employees would have loyalty to Zuckerberg which would lead to a worse situation than CTR was on reddit.
Determining whom becomes president is worse, because conflicts of interest are always going to happen, we will never have a broke president.
n/a lucius_aeternae 2017-01-24
he wont make it as an independent and at this point both parties are running towards their extremes.
n/a lostelite39119 2017-01-24
If he really does run for president I want the Winklevoss twins to run against him.
n/a LarryHolmes 2017-01-24

An identical twin president would be very interesting.
n/a lily_levasseur 2017-01-24
Eh. Idk about that. I feel like zuck is pretty universally hated.
n/a Askalan 2017-01-24
Doesn't matter, Trump was/is widely hated, too. Wasn't the voter turnout ~60% this election? This means you could still get elected if at least 30% percent of the population like and vote for you.
n/a lily_levasseur 2017-01-24
That's an excellent point, but don't you think everyone will have abandoned fb by then? I mean- it's zuck.
n/a Askalan 2017-01-24
I really hope that, but FB is already 8 years old. It will likely survive another 3-4 years. Even if teenagers won't use it anymore, older demographics probably will :/
n/a lily_levasseur 2017-01-24
Ugh this is nightmare fuel. I usually dig r/conspiracy but your (perfectly logical) logic has killed me down. I need a bubble-bath to wash off this thought! Ack.

I sadly don't see any reason it won't last forever. People are addicted. Just like TV. There aren't enough principled/aware people to put a dent in its endlessly growing membership.
n/a -MURS- 2017-01-24
Trump had charisma and knew how to work the media.
Zuckerberg has neither. He's just a rich guy.
n/a _venkman 2017-01-24
Trump was fiercely loved by that small percent though. I don't think there are very many people who "fiercely" love zuck
n/a brxn 2017-01-24
The media will prop him up and tell us that he's universally loved.
n/a dandroid1_0 2017-01-24
Ask Hillary Clinton how that works out.
n/a topdangle 2017-01-24
It actually worked pretty well. She screwed herself over by not campaigning enough in states that flipped red.
I mean it wasn't long ago that SNL was mocking Hillary for being a compulsive liar. Pop culture swings so fast. Now people believe shes a champion for women.

He owns Facebook.. He wouldn't allow anti mark, he would project himself as the best candidate there. And since FB is extremely powerful, they would reach out to Instagram and Twitter.. He would devour social media and slander his opponent.
Let's just hope he will not run.
n/a albatrawesome 2017-01-24
If that were to happen, then I think that would result in the death of the first gen of social media. I've already seen a lot of independent digital media platforms emerge over the past year.
n/a WolfofAnarchy 2017-01-24
Yeah, none of which gained traction and none of which are actually a threat to FB
n/a fty170 2017-01-24
Reddit. I use it exclusively and haven't used FB in years.
n/a xfds 2017-01-24
But Reddit is a very different kind of platform. Imo it's based around content and discussion and much less around the individual and social circles.
n/a fty170 2017-01-24
I try to developer those things in real life. Believe it or not, it's more satisfying.
n/a xfds 2017-01-24
I agree with you, but most people want a digital social network in their life. Reddit can't replace Facebook in that sense.
n/a PaBowbow 2017-01-24
You're what's known as an exception
n/a Awoo-- 2017-01-24
Social networks are social media, and reddit is social media, it's just not a social network.
Social media sites all pretty much have the same content though, presented in differing ways.
n/a the_great_magician 2017-01-24
Reddit is also almost the same age as facebook - not a newer generation of social media, the same generation.
n/a damnthatsfuckinggood 2017-01-24
Which is exactly why I enjoy reddit more than I did enjoy fb
n/a TrizmoxRSA 2017-01-24

n/a ififcanIhaveacoatplz 2017-01-24
It'd probably be the biggest conflict of interest in history. He'd have to completely divest and even then anything fb put out about him would be held to extreme prejudice. Also I dont use fb, fuck that guy.

n/a Thangka6 2017-01-24
Using your terminology, President Trump and Mark Zuckerburg are both weak "cucks". They just happen to come from different sides of the political spectrum.
n/a TheDoubleDecker 2017-01-24
Thats where you're wrong kiddo.
n/a illHavetwoPlease 2017-01-24
They tried the same with Clinton. Clinton had the "experience", the vagina, and the name fame. All of the news outlets and social media sites couldn't stump the trump
n/a LozzieDon 2017-01-24
The problem with Hillary and even Jen was that no one wanted to see another "Clinton" or "Bush" career politician in the White House. Whether this was good or not who knows. And the media could have shut down trump just like they did Bernie, stop talking about him 24/7. But they knew he was a good story and didn't pose nearly the threat they thought he did so the put him on screen non-stop to create a narrative and get big viewership.
n/a CharlieHume 2017-01-24
You're talking about Bill, right?

His reputation is turning around now that hes donating to charities. On one hand it's better than having his money sit around doing nothing, on the other hand its clearly a play to build his reputation and it seems like he'll be exploiting it soon to get a seat in D.C.
n/a LusciousSocialWorker 2017-01-24
I mean.... Trump's pretty universally hated too, but....
n/a Bobby_Marks2 2017-01-24
I think Eric Schmidt could make a much stronger run. He's been around longer, is a bit older, is the son of a psychologist mother and a professor of international economics at V Tech and JHU father (who spent time in the Treasury under Nixon).
He's an overall computer nerd with a PhD, he's worth over $10 billion, was the CEO of Google. Sat on boards or was employed at Apple, Sun, Novell, Bell Labs, Xerox's PARC (a huge deal back in the day), several universities, and The Economist. Founded an investment firm that invested in Uber. Campaigned for Obama and served on his science and tech panel, and currently sits as chairman of the DoD Innovation board. A member of Bilderberg, he's worked alongside just about every powerful person, organization, and government in the western world.
He's a filthy rich businessman (which conservatives love), from the tech sector (which progressives love), and he's got the friends in high places to make things happen. And most importantly, his tech ties would net him even more control over trending internet news than Zucks would get on Facebook alone.
n/a conspiracytheorist10 2017-01-24
He also has a history of lobbying with the elites. Read Julian Assange's view of him in 'When Google met Wikileaks' for a better idea.

Zuckerberg has the charisma of a damp squib. He won't go far.
Zuck thinks it's data and analytics that makes for a winning campaign (like Hillary). It's actually just sheer charisma.
Obama pulled through on charisma, so did Bill and of course Trump. Even Bush had the goofy uncle vibe Al Gore just didn't have
n/a cult_of_image 2017-01-24
If zuckerberg takes the dem nomination from sanders in 2020, there's going to be hell to pay.
n/a TrouserTorpedo 2017-01-24
I think a significant amount of Trump's win was policy. There are a lot of people concerned about immigration and a lot of manual labourers affected by unemployment.
And a lot of people really hate the fact the left tries to control language.
People keep saying "how could an idiot like that win?" Well, policy isn't affected by crazy hair or whatever else. I think a lot of people just preferred his policies.
n/a Lunacide 2017-01-24
Nah man, racists just finally came out of the woods to support someone with a personality that matched theirs. Hillary was dumb to ignore the white vote :\
n/a TrouserTorpedo 2017-01-24
Well, that would be policy. But I think it's bullshit. Trump had the highest minority vote of any republican for decades.
n/a superhardweiner 2017-01-24

n/a LozzieDon 2017-01-24
Charisma is a huge factor but one of trumps biggest supporters was Robert Mercer who owns 1 of the worlds largest Data companies. He was hired by trump during the election and they use Facebook data almost exclusively. His employees include several members of Trumps team such as Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway.
n/a spaceman2121 2017-01-24
Well another major Trump supporter was Peter Thiel, who probably owns the closest thing we have to a private NSA
n/a mantisdontpray 2017-01-24
The ironic thing is that charisma is one of the characteristics of a sociopath, and sociopaths have a tendency to end up in positions of power. I'm not saying, I'm just saying. Charisma wins us over but sometimes it's bullshit.
n/a ItsAboutSharing 2017-01-24

n/a Bevdoggy 2017-01-24
Aw dude I just threw up in my mouth.
Facebook is hosing users out it's ass though, right? Stock dropping, daily hourly usage dropping, new user sign-up rate dropping.
I mean, OP brought nothing to the table except a post title, but I'd still be shocked if Facebook was even half it's current size by 2020 - in it's current form, at least.
n/a TeenFitnessss 2017-01-24
Of course there are less new users signing up, there's only so many people in the world with access to facebook, and pretty much all of them already have it
n/a Belatorius 2017-01-24

n/a State_ 2017-01-24
You have to understand that facebook doesn't just know what you post on their site. They literally track everything you do.
Ever go on facebook and see the ads? They know what sites you go to. They know what you search for.
Do you have the facebook messenger app installed on your phone? Congrats, they read your text messages, and give you ads based on keywords.
It's a really shiesty operation they have.
n/a Awoo-- 2017-01-24
Every single site that has facebook comments, like buttons or any facebook script running on the page tells facebook you visited that page if you are logged in(most do it automatically).
That includes pornhub and a bunch of other sites.
Most people don't realise how much fb knows about them.
n/a Autocoprophage 2017-01-24
I wouldn't be surprised if they were listening to you talking from the app on your friend's phone and making you a "shadow profile" even without you ever having an account. Or even matching you to your account.
n/a RDay 2017-01-24
I use ad block and no mobile use at all. I use FB only to keep up with some political groups. I deleted my account 5 years ago and recently re activated it. It was like I had not missed a post in the entire time.
FB is forever.
n/a State_ 2017-01-24
Ok. They still know everything you do though.
n/a Tzar34 2017-01-24
Just get off fb... you would be surprised how nice it is, instead of spending spare time looking at other people's bullshit you can focus on your own.
n/a State_ 2017-01-24
I don't have one anymore.
n/a honestlyimeanreally 2017-01-24
1) incognito window thwarts tracking cookies
2) I don't have that app installed for that very reason!
n/a nonmillenial 2017-01-24
And that messenger app requires you to allow them to take audio, videos, and pictures from your phone at any time without your permission or knowledge.

I've been on the internet since 1994, starting in AOL chat.90% of my online activity has been under my real name, so so close someone could easily figure it out (no, that is not a challenge LOL).
This openness has served me well. There is nothing I have EVER typed I am ashamed of, or would not want anyone to know about me.
While I understand the desire for anonymity I never grasped the need as something practical.
Dirt. Meh.

NO it was Gordon Hunt, one of the Hunt Brothers. It was a cancer virus attached to a needle. The needle was built into a pair of custom boots that Hunt insisted Bob put on.
They then convinced Bob to go to a 'special doctor' in Europe, who finished his cancer off with accelerating drugs.
The CIA was concerned Marley would become the next Global JFK or Mandella, so they had him killed.
I remember this from a rolling stone article many decades ago.
n/a T-RexLivesMatter 2017-01-24
Yeah I'm curious too!
Also, I'm wondering if there's anything else I don't know about the Pat Tillman thing.
As far as I know, if I'm remembering correctly, there was absolutely a cover up about how he died. Like, they knew he died via friendly fire, but let the public think it was from enemy fire for quite a while (presumably to use him as a hero figure and gain more recruits?)
I remember reading that his brother (I think?) had said Pat was getting very disillusioned by the entire thing and that he felt like we (US) were there for the wrong reasons.
So, are there theories that he was maybe killed on purpose by our government or something? I'd love to know any extra info on all that.
n/a curious_panda1 2017-01-24
could tell me a littl ebit more about pat tillman. google says he is ex footballer leaving the sports for army?
n/a Something_Edgy 2017-01-24
Google should be telling you a lot more than that.
n/a bojsihtekat 2017-01-24
The fact that this is all Google is saying is pretty telling.

n/a cuch_a_sunt 2017-01-24
Bob died of cancer and John Lennon was murdererd by a crazy fan. However, what they both had in common was that they were speaking out against the establishment AND had huge followings. I guess the conspiracy here is that once you get famous enough, and a big enough following, they take you out. There are maney examples of this; JFK, Martin Luther King, Lennon etc. Bill Hicks has a joke on what happens to all the good guys right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFHVkdxSzTM
n/a curious_panda1 2017-01-24
i know a lot abt the JFK stuff. and to be honest, i had no clue about bob marley's death linked with the establishment
n/a whipnil 2017-01-24
Watch the Marley (2012) doco amd have a look for a High Times article about the marley conspiracy. He was becoming quite politically powerful. America didn't want a legitimate leader or socialist jamaica on their door step. The story is it was a cancer laced needle in a pair of boots he was gifted.
n/a truthforchange 2017-01-24
"cancer laced" -- are you implying "cancer" is some type of virus, fungus, or bacterial agent?
n/a whipnil 2017-01-24
I'm implying that it can be generated through intention. Not sure what the vector is for the carcinogen. I'd say that info would be in a secret folder, because to understand the mechanism would mean it'd be possible to get a cure. That's no good for pharma profits.
n/a j3utton 2017-01-24
Cancer isn't a type of any of those things, but it can be caused by all of them. Types of viruses, molds, and bacteria have all been linked to different types of cancer.
n/a TeenFitnessss 2017-01-24

n/a bojsihtekat 2017-01-24
I actually think the whole "Paul is Dead" thing was just a big global prank played on the world by the Beatles, who loved pulling pranks.
This probably would have been hilarious to them.
n/a imtakinthepissoutofu 2017-01-24

Marilyn monroe was enema'd to death. With such a large amount of drugs that she would of physically passed out before the lethal amount.
Someone sat there and had an enema up her ass for about 45 minutes pumping in those benzo's. Enema parties were big around that time with the social "elite".

Except several of those are documented truth. MK ultra, the Gulf of Tonkin, and operation paperclip can't be denied even by the staunchest skeptics.
n/a Wafflesarepancakesv2 2017-01-24
Here from /r/all, what's the conspiracy part of op paperclip? It's taught by the military in an unclass setting, is anyone denying it?
n/a Bizoza9 2017-01-24
People dismiss it as a conspiracy theory. It's is not.
n/a Wafflesarepancakesv2 2017-01-24
Like... the whole thing? How the hell else did we magically get all those german scientists?
n/a Bizoza9 2017-01-24
I don't know. People dismiss any kind of actions that the US takes. Some of them likely think that they were all just defectors before and during the war rather than after the war. It's similar to those who deny operation Mockingbird as if the US wouldn't have its own arm of propaganda creation.

n/a Thangka6 2017-01-24
And Trump running and actually winning gives legitimacy to these other rich fucks who think their business/music careers can be substituted for 0 public service experience. Like, for fucks sake, at least run for mayor or governor or something first. Have a record reflecting you actually care about the people, and that you're not running just to satisfy some selfish ambition for power.
n/a Moncon7 2017-01-24

n/a fat_osvaldo 2017-01-24
Speaking on behalf of progressives, there's no way the Berners will support him. In fact, they'll probably shout him down.
Although you're right, the media could prop him up as a viable canididate.
n/a Argonov 2017-01-24
The media went full speed ahead with Hillary and she is very charismatic. If they cant make her win, they certainly can't help the big Z U C C.
n/a Leachpunk 2017-01-24
Hillary is charismatic? Maybe to a bunch of 1%ers, everything she has said, I've cringed at.
n/a Argonov 2017-01-24
A lot of people cringed. But I can assure you, millions of people were swayed by her speeches.
n/a irondumbell 2017-01-24
Then the media overdid it or did it too blatantly to the point of insulting people's intelligence
n/a JwPATX 2017-01-24
I'm pretty sure this is what happened/continues to happen. "But but WE told you it was illegal to look at wikileaks! Why won't anyone listen to us!?!?" said CNN.

n/a Argonov 2017-01-24
That doesn't mean they aren't out there. Even if we subtract voter fraud and "never trump" people, she got a lot of votes. I'm not saying everyone was swayed. I'm saying a lot of people were.
n/a Bascome 2017-01-24
If you are talking absolute number, yeah then I agree, a lot were swayed, hundreds of thousands maybe a million.
If you mean percentage I think it is a very small number, perhaps less than 10 percent of the population, but I doubt it is that high.
Totally based on my personal experiences and views as this is not a stat anyone can find anywhere or claim with any accuracy.

n/a stillusesAOL 2017-01-24
Right. Generally speaking, the funniest candidate wins. I actually haven't heard Zuckerberg speak, but he doesn't look like he's funny. Hillary Clinton almost won despite being not at all funny. Trump doesn't appear to have a sense of humor whatsoever but he has said a ton of amusing things. Could you imagine Trump having a big, genuine laugh at a funny joke?
n/a ramrob 2017-01-24

n/a Sieggi858 2017-01-24

n/a OB1_kenobi 2017-01-24
I hate saying this because it's going to sound like I'm a huge Trump fan, which I'm not. But...
Trump has always had his personality. People either love him or hate him... there just isn't much of an in between.
For me, if there's one word that describes Mark Zuckerberg, it's meh. He's where he belongs right now, milking Facebook data for everything it's worth.
n/a Sieggi858 2017-01-24
Oh yeah no denying he's always been this way, but he used to not be so....mental? I mean I've seen interviews from 10-20 years ago, and while he still seems like an asshole, at least he was a level-headed asshole.
n/a Roonsguy 2017-01-24
Yup I agree, but a lot of people like his "everything = big/American" attitude, whether you like him or not, he is kind of the embodiment of someone who made it in the classic American dream. The last thing appeals to a lot of people.
Then again, this is how I see it as a non-American, so I could be wrong.
n/a Sieggi858 2017-01-24
No you're right, a lot of people like him because of his patriotism and seeming to be very rich.
But he's more like what a poor person imagines a rich person to be, instead of a real rich person.
He's a caricature of himself, and doesn't realize how ridiculous he looks/sounds
n/a OB1_kenobi 2017-01-24
He's still pretty young. But in his line of business, my guess would be some serious, cutting edge nootropics.
Tech guys and overachievers like to use various means to enhance their mental and cognitive functioning. Zuckerberg seems like the archetype for both.
So I could see him going a little overboard on nootropics.

This "rich prick runs directly for president" meme isn't that new [Perot], Trump was just fortunate enough to run against Hillary, and still just barely won.
n/a OnlyFactsTho 2017-01-24
Why? We let a bigot assume the highest office in the land so Zuck is no problem!
n/a LoonShy 2017-01-24
If he runs, we need Trump to stay in
n/a Griddamus 2017-01-24
After trumps reputation and tenure, people could very well treat Zuckerbergs campaign to be like the coming of the messiah :P
n/a Kruse 2017-01-24
That's what we said about Donald Trump...
n/a Yorio 2017-01-24
I don't know if he has improved much but I remember as facebook was gaining traction he talked to a university class and his public speaking skills were terrible.
n/a ThePopeofHell 2017-01-24
I'm afraid that every presidential election from now on will be loaded with celebrities and shitty business people.
n/a bolayer 2017-01-24
Lol like with TV sensation Donald Trump?
n/a jt32470 2017-01-24
He's probably going to go for governor of Hawaii, or congresperson. That way he can steal all the land legally
n/a mostprobably 2017-01-24
Trump is going to win the next election too, unless they assassinate him.
n/a Murder-Mountain 2017-01-24
Unlikely,he will use Facebook telemetry to maximize his campaign and free polling.
Facebook spyware is very powerful in the right hands.
n/a Edogawa1983 2017-01-24
I'm sure people said the same of Trump..
n/a Aphix 2017-01-24
I hope as internet users we see that Facebo ("The social placebo!") is malicious, privacy invading software that provides zero intrinsic benefit to anyone except governments and corporations by 2020.
n/a Ezekiel-319 2017-01-24
He will spaghetti so fast in front of the spotlight your head will spin. He cannot handle social situations, at fucking all.
n/a Paid-troll 2017-01-24
He is almost dirty enough to run. After he screws the people in the Hawaii land grab he will do just fine. asshole.
n/a Lunnes 2017-01-24
You're wrong though, he doesn't want to screw those people. You probably didn't read the article last time it was posted, right ?
n/a sapntaps 2017-01-24
Great fucking job reading the article. He fucked over so many people by giving them money for land they didn't know they owned. Ohh no the inhumanity. Even hiring all the lawyers to track down every single person who owns even a fucking acorn on the property.
n/a Bad_Harambe 2017-01-24
Are there oak trees in Hawaii? If not somebody would know they placed an acorn there.
n/a bobluvsbananas 2017-01-24
I doubt we'll ever see President Fuckerberg
n/a ZoticusTurpin 2017-01-24
Agreed. This little pecker wouldn't be able to stand on a debate stage with Trump. This is a bullshit conspiracy theory.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Yeah, but it would be amazing to watch.

Mark is a mess
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Mark is a big, fat mistake.
n/a lleti 2017-01-24
Are you kidding me? We saw him debate against one of the most uncharismatic, disliked, and out of touch politicians of all time, doubled up with the fact that there were over 30 years of bad history to use against her.
Anyone with a spark of remote sense would've ripped Trump apart on a debate platform. He goes for playground bully tactics, and mostly serves to embarrass himself. If he stood against someone who has as much as an iota of charisma, and the gall to avoid the stage presence of respectability, he'd collapse.
Trump is definitely the single, standalone "yes, literally anyone can be president" candidate. I'd be surprised if 2020 isn't followed up on with even more unqualified candidates, simply to prey on the fact that people are stupid enough to vote them in based on a TV personality.
n/a russian321 2017-01-24
That's what they said about trump too
n/a jays1232 2017-01-24
Anyone who said that never saw trump debate or was in pure denial. I think trump is a moron, but I respect his charisma and his ability to shut down less aggressive people during a debate with simple bullying tactics. Zuckerberg would crumble.
n/a nefariousdudex 2017-01-24
Idk man. I think most people now base their votes according to popularity instead of capability. Here in my country, we have a sociopath President, a boxer turned Senator who preaches about the Bible yet proposes to bring back Death Penalty, and last but not the least, we have many celebrities that turned into politicians.
n/a RedTapedSpacePanda 2017-01-24

n/a -DontCallMeShort- 2017-01-24

n/a jakebreak 2017-01-24

n/a whiskeyclouds 2017-01-24
Okay then. Well I will submit my anonymous leak that Barack Obama once said "By the year 2019 every home in America will be filled to the brim with Cheetos and daffodils."
Have at it r/conspiracy
n/a DiskoSpider 2017-01-24
Dafodils looks really funny written out haha
n/a Benthon 2017-01-24
It's funny how anonymous leaks aren't 'verifiable' or worth anyone's time until it conforms to their already existing beliefs.
Definitely need some better source. It's sad to see this top the page without even a link in the OP.
n/a XavierSimmons 2017-01-24
So it was floated to see how universally hated he is.
n/a PM_ME_UR_BDSM_PICS_ 2017-01-24
anonymous leaks are stealth polls to test the waters. He wants to but his PR team is at work seeing if it's worth the effort.
n/a DoctorScrambles 2017-01-24
I second the source request. Anonymous leaks don't count as sources unless they are from reliable/verifiable publishers.
The CIA and Russia thing is all from anonymous sources. CNN hosts quote anonymous insiders 24/7. At this point anonymously sourced information implies a talking point/message/propaganda. It usually means someone has an agenda.
It warrants skepticism and further investigation at least.
n/a Anne_Hiroh 2017-01-24
Honestly this whole thread reeks of "agenda".
n/a puntinbitcher 2017-01-24
This is /r/conspiracy. Do you really think people here care about sources or evidence?
n/a TheMagnuson 2017-01-24
Seriously, I see so many quotes in r/conspiracy with no source. It should be easy to link to a source for quotes, it's not like asking for the missing Majestic 12 papers.
n/a J05H 2017-01-24
He's a notoriously bad public speaker who despite totally not being autistic, dresses like he's twelve. It's not like he's spent decades on TV or in public life. Don't see it happen, but yes, millions of morons would vote for him.

n/a jerrysburner 2017-01-24
Why? That's a substantial part of his brain dedicated to useless info. If he remembered massive amounts historical events, how they transpired, how people ignored them, how it affected events going forward, he's possibly have my vote, but memorizing a useless book, nah, just shows he doesn't know how to manage his time well.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
I just want him to spend hours reciting the book.
n/a jerrysburner 2017-01-24

n/a jerrysburner 2017-01-24
I would love that - I just that think it's too entrenched and too many people wouldn't care or understand even if dirty laundry were aired...though I guess all you'd need is the stock price to start to stumble and go from there.
n/a astralrocker2001 2017-01-24

n/a nerv01 2017-01-24

n/a trumpetspieler 2017-01-24

n/a nerv01 2017-01-24
I did not. Sounds interesting. Mark would use the US to help his short ass take over the world. Kanye would just occasionally hold odd and incoherent speeches about jay z sending hitters at his head and talk about Kim's ass. Less productive but less harmful.
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-01-24
Kanye's smarter than you think. I've never listened to his music, but every now and the he breaks programming and starts speaking truth.

Wow, incredible to think the Angevin bloodline is still going strong. I wonder if this is because the bloodline has stretched so far out to the masses, or if it shows that ruling is still restricted to the chosen few.
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-01-24
Nah. I'm a descendant of the Cherokee Chief/Ambassador to England Chief Oconostota. He literally went to England, got banned for hugging the king instead of bowing and stole the Kings bitch before coming up. So he knocked up the former lady in waiting and my family tree was started. It's YUGE. Most people are related TBH. Ever seen how many black people are related to Thomas Jefferson? Lmao shiiiet
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Because the DNA came from his brother?
n/a DarylMoore 2017-01-24
Pretty much anyone with Anglo-Saxon ancestry is related to King John of England. It's called pedigree collapse and it's a thing.
I'm related to King John of England. I'm closely related to five former presidents, and obviously related to most of the rest. But in those terms, I'm also related to about 100,000,000 European people.
So that doesn't say much.
Oh, and nobody is knocking on my door asking me to run for President. Yet.

By exposing one of the biggest controvercies ever? I mean before Snowden the NSA straight denied peaking at citizens, how is Snowden releasing that info good pr for the CIA? I mean that dude sacrafised his life for us to know that. He cant ever come home or it will not be a happy ending for him. In no way do i see any of this a "fairytale" type story.
n/a FinancialFeudalism 2017-01-24
Here is a post that goes into more detail by /u/ikilledtupac , copy pasted below
"I hit most of it in this post reply, so, I'll just paste it and maybe emphasize a few things
how'd his girlfriend get to Russia? She just get her passport, get a visa no problem, buy some tickets on Expedia and take a taxi to the airport? The girlfriend/collaborator of the supposedly most wanted man in American history...just gets to leave the country...to go live with him? And we didn't know? We didn't/couldn't follow her? Didn't suspend her passport? Russian consulate just gave her a visa like its all good? TSA/NSA/CIA was just like oh sure she can leave the country thats fine? And she couldn't be followed to Snowden? is she a super spy to? Come on now.
no way, and, for what purpose? We do political takeovers anyways. Like Syria. Or the Ukraine. Did you know Joe Biden's son is an executive in the new, for-profit, recently privatized Ukraine Oil and Gas? He is.
that was all fake news
why wage a proxy war if they want a real one? That's all about Iran anyways.
why wouldn't they? know what he knows, see what he does, where he goes, who he talks to.
wasted years of counter terrorism classes in college perhaps
just think about it. leaked "intel" that doesn't name names. no politicians. no actionable information. Not to mention, it made the US looking like an unstoppable global badass! We are fucking everywhere, all the time! It looked GOOD.Glossy powerpoints with small words and grainy pictures ready for publication. all that happened was the programs became legal, they came out of the shadows on their terms and now it is all there and all legal and protected. A book deal. A movie deal. Snowden is now part of security circles that would have been impossible for the NSA/CIA to penetrate before. People with new leaks will come to Snowden first. How did his girlfriend get to Russia? She just get on a plane and fly there? Why is she a pole dancer? Why was she at the Oscars? Why doesn't anyone remember Snowden? Why didn't any of the journalists get to see him, instead they got held on that plane?
...and why on earth couldn't we get him in Russia, if we wanted to. You don't escape US intel. Period. but right, the whole "concerned" citizen PATRIOT CITIZEN FOUR BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE guy makes more sense? Please. You know that it is illegal to produce a movie about or with the US military or intel agencies without specific US government approval, right? here's another pro tip for consideration: why does what he leaked look different than all other known leaks? Leaks don't look like the shit he posted.
What was up with ridiculous raid of the Guardian? Where the crazy government guys smashed old hard drives on camera? WTF was that all about? Oh, and you're telling me that the government got all their proof because Greenwald, the elusive, super reporter...wrote the passwords to his encrypted USB stick that he gave his boyfriend...on a piece of paper...and the boyfriend got caught at the airport with it and that blew the case wide open? You're telling me Glen Greenwald just had a full on stroke and decided to do the most predictable amateur mistake in spy history...and we are supposed to believe that? And why, if all this was real, isn't his ass in prison? We put shmucks in Guantanamo for 15 years for less shit than Greewald did. Why is he special?
Where is Snowden's team of lawyers? Assange and Manning are surrounded by lawyers, police, military, intel, all the time. They live in constant fear. Why doesn't Snowden? Don't say Russia. We can get anyone anywhere. Every other leaker is either in prison, dead, or we are trying to kill them, or frame them. And they're what? A disgraced CIA agent, a transexual Army guy, and a weird looking Swedish dude. And Snowden is...a mid 30's white guy that is wholly unremarkable in every way, whom nobody remembers going to school with or working with, hell even his employer didn't lose a dime over all this? Why is Snowden special?
Oh, and, knowing that leaks are inevitable, wouldn't it be better to cause, control, and leak what you want, on your own terms? Own it before it can happen by something else? Or, get the trust of other potential leakers that they will come to you? The brave patriot living a life of luxury with his gf in Russia? After Snowden, everyone was supposed to use Tor! Tor is funded by the government.
Sometimes things happen for us to see, even if we are told they are things we were not supposed to see. Intelligence agencies put out things for us to find.
Like the Stasi said, what's the use of a huge surveillance program, if nobody knows you have it?
Or, what if, you can just make everyone believe you have it-isn't that just as good? What's the difference between an global intel system so amazing that nobody can prove you have it, and no system at all? And these are the same people that couldn't crack a 5 year old iPhone the San Bernardino shooter had? Really? So far, we know this supposed incredible system has failed to catch...any...terrorists. Not one. Hasn't stopped shit. Is there any evidence it exists on the level they say it does? Besides what they released? There is not. But now anyone wanting to talk bad about us, who had been previously using gmail, yahoo, skype, etc, are now flocking to Tor and using PGP keys like we can't crack those. What's easier to track? A fuckton of ways to communicate, or just a couple that people use now, thinking everything else has been compromised?
Real intel is a bunch of black and white shit with acronyms the public doesn't understand. It's gobbedly gook. Boring. But it names names, its emberrasing. It's actionable. It's Chelsea Mannings stuff.
Snowden despised the government so much that he exposed it, risked his life, his family, his career, but at the same time, respected its privacy and didn't post anything illegal or embarrassing? Right, cuz that makes sense. Most of what he leaked just made our spies look like fucking badasses that have infiltrated everyone! It was awesome! Did you read the book? It's thrilling! And all bullshit!
Real leakers live on embassy couches for years, or try to kill themselves over and over again as they rot in prison, or, they get shot in the back at 2am in a Washington DC alleyway. They do not get book deals, blockbuster movies, and live an unmolested life in a nice country with their hot girlfriend.
So what makes more sense to you? The above incredible string of coincidences and convenient things, plausible but extremely unlikely? Or-that Snowden is a psyop? To me, that is much more believable, and-there is no evidence to prove that he isn't. Speaking of, why isn't that ever discussed? The media just takes him 100% on his word? That is suspicious-especially considering that we now know the media is entirely compromised by the government. Hm.
I really hope this thread doesn't get buried :/
edit: and, for what its worth, I think Manning belongs in prison. Assange probably does too. What he/she did was wrong, and despite my theories of who/what I think Snowden is, I don't support anyone who does anything that could get our people killed...and since Snowden is an inside man, there's a reason why they aren't going after him like they are the others"

He looks like the son of the Elephant Man from Mask.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
That is a very bold statement.
n/a darkempath 2017-01-24
Agreed. The only other human with Hillary levels of unlikeable would be Bill Cosby.
n/a Kind_Of_A_Dick 2017-01-24
Hillary levels? So you're saying he'll beat Trump in the popular vote by millions of people too?
n/a bleedingjim 2017-01-24
Take out LA County and Trump wins it.
n/a Kind_Of_A_Dick 2017-01-24
So you're saying that if you ignore enough votes Trump won the popular vote too? No shit, but how is manipulating the data an argument?
n/a detcadder 2017-01-24
He doesn't have experience with debate, or the public. He'll wash out in the primaries. He thinks he can do it because Trump did it, but hes not Trump.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
I feel that this will become the tagline for so many politicians all over the world in the next couple of years.
n/a thisismyfirstday 2017-01-24
It's literally already happening with Kevin O'Leary in Canada
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Yeah, but that doesn't mean he'll win.
He made maybe 11 million off that 4 billion Mattel deal he talks about.
n/a earlofspain 2017-01-24
Isn't Trudeau extremely popular in Canada?
n/a BeastPenguin 2017-01-24
His popularity has gone down. He's still a liberal shill that's fucking up the country (imo) and Canada, while more liberal than the US, is starting to follow America's timeline of shutting down globalism and identity politics. Kevin is kind of like Trump but is a bit more polished with speaking and general political stuff.
n/a bojsihtekat 2017-01-24
Kevin is an absolute psychopath. He'll never be Prime Minister.
n/a H2Sbass 2017-01-24
You underestimate peoples stupidity. We elected Harper.... twice. The second time was right after he was found guilty of contempt of parliament.
I shudder to think about it but, I think O'Leary has a very real chance.
n/a yalpelgoog 2017-01-24
We elected Harper three times. Careful who you call stupid there genius.
n/a Sleepy_Spider 2017-01-24
I agree. The media gives him like 10x the air time of the other conservative leadership candidates combined. It is disgusting.
n/a tronfonne 2017-01-24
He's so antiunion though, I just can't see it happening. I wouldn't be surprised though.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
But Trump.
n/a bojsihtekat 2017-01-24
Trump and Kevin aren't even on the same planet. Trump isn't fantastic, but Kevin is pure evil.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
Ok well I think you're selling Trump a little short on the evil front. But I guess we'll find out, won't we?
n/a bojsihtekat 2017-01-24
I guess so. I think you're selling Kevin a little shore on the decent front. I'm not saying Trump isn't evil, but Kevin is a special kind of evil.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
I mean, Kevin comes off as the "merciless tax cuts that are felt for decades and we find out he embezzled hundreds of millions ten years after his last term", but I honestly think Trump, if left to his own devices, would make himself Emperor of America and create a modern monarchy with his shitty family holding the reigns.
n/a lIlIIIlll 2017-01-24
Trump is a master troll. O'Leary just strikes me as a greasy banker. No experience in the limelight.
n/a thisismyfirstday 2017-01-24
I mean, he's been on TV for a while himself, so I wouldn't say he's unfamiliar with the limelight. Not to imply he isn't a greasy banker...
n/a VAJAYNUS 2017-01-24
It's think a bit of a different landscape without the organized white supremacist movement to bolster him as Trump had. Canada is generally not as openly racist as the country where people still fly the flag of traitorous slave owners with pride.
n/a throwtheshitatthem 2017-01-24
Jesus Christ lol do you actually believe that the white supremacist are what got Trump elected?
n/a VAJAYNUS 2017-01-24
Seems that there's a very loud section of the country very excited that open racism and xenophobia is acceptable again. Wonder who they support?
n/a BeastPenguin 2017-01-24
It's not acceptable, lmao. Curious about your proof though.
n/a throwtheshitatthem 2017-01-24
Show us the evidence that the sector has any population at all and show us how they are "very loud" because I don't see shit from them.
n/a realsomalipirate 2017-01-24
I doubt we get a unabashed populist on the right like the Americans did and many here denounce trump as an idiot and most wouldn't want us to have our own trump.
n/a Alpha_Weirstone 2017-01-24
How's he fucking up his country?
n/a tragicwasp 2017-01-24
His hair is certainly popular.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
lol no.
Canadians hate him.
They figured him getting elected would mean his father's policies.
Trudeau is hot and nothing else.
n/a olliec420 2017-01-24
Outside of the big cities I don't think so. Much like H in California.
n/a thisismyfirstday 2017-01-24
It doesn't, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on because nobody thought Trump would win, either.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Trump didn't win because of his financial acumen.
n/a thisismyfirstday 2017-01-24
I never implied he did. I meant that plugging your (not you specifically, people in general) ears and saying "he'll never win" like a lot of Canadians are now is the same thing that happened with Trump.
n/a BiglyMAGA 2017-01-24
Yeah but that was different. People said Trump would never win as liberal projection.
They say Zuckerberg will never win because he really won't. He is literally the public embodiment of the CIA.
Anyone who endorses him will be at the butt of jokes like "What skeletons do you have in your closet?"
His presence will be toxic.
n/a thisismyfirstday 2017-01-24
Plenty of people on both sides thought Trump would never win for a good while, just look at the Vegas odds at the start of his campaign. It wasn't "liberal projection" until right at the very end.
O'Leary is a ex-reality tv star with a somewhat debated background as a successful businessman/entrepreneur, and he was obviously inspired for his run by Trump's success; there's far more reason for comparison of Trump with O'Leary than with Zuckerberg.
n/a olliec420 2017-01-24
Yeah but Kevin like Don is a conservative international investor who have built some impressive private businesses. Zuckerberg is a shill to the system running that company off government subsidies (which hopefully end soon) and public investors. I just hope the snowflakes don't say "Zuckerberg is a business man that wants to be nice to muslims, I'm for him!"

I want to watch him get demolished in a debate. Smug fuck thinks hes smarter than everyone. He made a social media site, he didnt invent the fucking idea.
n/a rayfosse 2017-01-24
Yeah, the guy doesn't really have anything to offer politically. He was a Hillary supporter going back to the primaries. All the energy and ideas and intelligence on the left are with Bernie's wing.
These celebrities are so used to everyone telling them how amazing they are they don't realize they have a very poor grasp of modern politics and the mood of the country.
n/a cuch_a_sunt 2017-01-24
And if its one thing they should have learned by now, its that it doesnt help with Hollywood, media and social media in your back, if the other candidate is accurately saying what is wrong with the country, and has generic, real support. I could see a Zuckerberg run for president fail immensly. If anything it would educate people to the dangers of manipulation/astroturfing in elections, as was seen with Hillary.. Imagine how Facebook will be for the 18 months while he is campaigning. Hopefully, within that time, Trump will have done so much good that there wont be a point running against him.
n/a rayfosse 2017-01-24
Totally agree. These guys are delusional if they think you can just win the presidency by being a rich billionaire. They're learning all the wrong lessons about what made Trump popular, and completely ignoring all his policy positions. Zuckerberg would just embarrass himself.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
It's amazing how little of your post I'd need to change in order for it to apply to the current POTUS.
n/a rayfosse 2017-01-24
Clearly Trump has a good understanding of the mood of the country and modern politics, or else he couldn't have been elected against all odds with no prior political experience. Say what you will, but his strategy worked.
Also, he does offer something politically that is different than what any other candidate was. You may not like it, but nobody else was arguing against immigration and free trade and endless wars and in favor of nationalist economic policies. He carved out a pretty unique intellectual position within his own party. People like Zuckerberg and most other celebrities, by contrast, hold mostly the exact same positions as Hillary, who in turn held mostly the exact same positions as Obama.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
He could be, and likely is, nothing but a madman in a country going mad. Winning proves nothing, especially considering he lost the popular vote. It's a popularity contest, and he didn't even win, he just didn't lose by a wide enough margin to actually lose the presidency. Wow, talk about finger on the pulse.
And please, don't tell me about the end of "endless war" when this son of a bitch is openly suggesting a literal war for oil.
n/a Trynit 2017-01-24
Madman tend to be the most intelligent AND dangerous people on this planet, since you can never really know what they're up to. They could go completely unhinged and still get things done simply because of how their thinking works. They dont "think" like the normies. They think with no true boundaries and limits. Most people getting the "mad man" look is because of this type of thing.
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
Think less "Hannibal Lector" and more "man exposes self on subway platform".
n/a rayfosse 2017-01-24
In relation to this article, I'm trying to make a point that most celebrities don't actually offer anything new by way of politics, and are therefore not comparable to Trump. Trump might not follow through on his campaign promises, but he ran a hell of a campaign, and that shouldn't be in dispute. I'm just skeptical that Mark Zuckerberg (or Alec Baldwin or whoever else) is capable of running such a successful campaign, because they basically stand for the same stale policies of Hillary and Obama.
I'm not trying to get you to agree with Trump. I'm just pointing out that he had a unique political position that clearly resonated with enough people to become president. The fact that you and many others are so opposed to it shows how unique it is. He's not offering the same old Republican rhetoric. I don't care if you like it or not, but it worked. He beat 16 other primary contenders because he was offering something different, and people liked it. Zuckerberg is not offering anything new, except for his personality, which isn't very appealing. If you think Zuckerberg's political vision is interesting or fresh, what specifically?
n/a THEJAZZMUSIC 2017-01-24
I never said I support or even don't hate Zuckerberg, but I don't think Trump offered anymore more than the same old hate and a name people recognize. He did away with the dog whistle terms and just went for it, but "a hell of a campaign"? Gimme a fucking break. He name-called and shit-posted his way to the fucking white house, and you're talking like he's Machiavelli 2.0, instead of the lucky imbecile that he clearly is.
n/a n00854180t- 2017-01-24

Yeah not much at all.
n/a NitroMeta 2017-01-24
If it wasn't Facebook it would've stayed MySpace.
n/a nmeal 2017-01-24
"If it wasn't for Google it would have stayed Altavista."
Do you see how silly that sounds?
Oh and I forgot about the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative... Curing all diseases isn't offering the world much either.
n/a NitroMeta 2017-01-24
You're trying to expand the conversation beyond its original content. Stay focus on your original comment.
You were stating that Facebook is a highly used social network, I stated that if it wasn't Facebook it would've stayed MySpace. MySpace was improving but Facebook got there first and won the popular vote.
I'm not implying anything, this isn't 11th grade English so there's no need to analyze every word. I could turn around and say that you're implying Facebook is the only good thing Zuckerberg ever did even though according to you he's curing diseases. It doesn't matter if you forgot that part it just shows that social media is more important to you than curing diseases. You see how silly that sounds when you assume implications.
I appreciate you doing your research but this isn't going to be an argument nor a debate just a passing comment.
n/a nmeal 2017-01-24
The first sentence of your comment is so disheartening...
Then I remember I'm in /r/conspiracy, what should I expect?
n/a NitroMeta 2017-01-24
Expansion on a conversation is fine just don't try to change subject from A to B when you're discussing A. That's like saying that all Ford trucks are Crap and then directing the discussion from Ford trucks to Mustangs.

n/a beeeeeeefcake 2017-01-24
Facebook owns instagram, whatsapp, and oculus too. Also in the era of myspace nobody had yet figured out how to reliably convert user data into cash. Facebook and google solved that problem. These web companies won't be going out of business like they used to.
n/a monkeyman114 2017-01-24
its getting rather odd that so many other apps and sites require facebbok accounts. CIA's attempt at universal id
n/a OverkillerSRB 2017-01-24
I love how naive this comment is, no offence.
NSA has universal id's and probably other surveilence agencies all around the world , every data-collection company has universal ID's and companies can literaly buy people's data.
You have hardware backdoors in almost all of your computing devices (Intel management engine for instance, and amd's incorporation of it), you have software backdoors everywhere, your modem probably has a backdoor and soon enough your refrigerators will do so.
If we forget for a second about the big guys, what about smaller guys? Every computing device can be exploited in a way or another even by script kiddies.
Whatever you do, your privacy is almost completely gone.
n/a Ghant_ 2017-01-24

I'm lucky to be a Scotsman who lives in Australia. We're away from all the POTUS and Brexit nonsense ;)
But yep, it's about running a country, not trying to pull in tv ratings. I'm truly embarrassed for the US.
n/a action_turtle 2017-01-24
Ah brexit, something else that felt more like a competition than a political vote. Who could spew the most for the most claps. Then when all said and done, people quit and no one had a plan.
Im thinking about leaving the UK too. Australia or Canada are the front runners.

n/a runtyrobot 2017-01-24
Incorrect opinions? Please elaborate.
n/a MahSelectah 2017-01-24
Jesus I don't know which is scarier, Hillary getting in, or this guy, because he has a very good chance of winning with all the morons who salivate over facebook. He has an open, constantly updating forum to push his campaign.
n/a PsychedelicDentist 2017-01-24
Why does everyone hate zuckerberg? I'm not from America, so I'm assuming he's in the news over there much more. All I've seen is that he's trying to eradicate disease in our lifetime?
n/a Cant-Find-Username 2017-01-24
Why do people like Zuckerberg? I mean, Elon Musk, he seems cool and he's made space travel and electric cars cool. Steve Jobs could sell water to a fish, people loved him and they loved the products he was able to bring to market. But Zuckerberg has done what? Made billions by selling your information in exchange for ads? Do people care about who the CEO of Facebook is? Sure, many people use Facebook, but many people use google and reddit but i doubt they know the name of anyone in charge of either company.
n/a thegingerduck 2017-01-24

I don't think he will make it far. Sure Donald trump set the groundwork for unconventional elections and campaigning, but the dude was also 70 and had been around the block a bit to know a thing or two. Zuckerberg would only be what...36? Good luck. Maybe when he is older.

He'll never win over anyone but millennials. Older and middle-aged Americans will see a scrawny, awkward, geeky guy in a hoodie standing lecturing them about issues he doesn't understand. He will stammer, freeze, sweat and be generally quiet during debates. It will fail, and it'll be fun to watch it fail.

Like the only difference between the two is Zuckerberg likes gun control and is a Jew.

n/a DoctorScrambles 2017-01-24
I second the source request. Anonymous leaks don't count as sources unless they are from reliable/verifiable publishers.
The CIA and Russia thing is all from anonymous sources. CNN hosts quote anonymous insiders 24/7. At this point anonymously sourced information implies a talking point/message/propaganda. It usually means someone has an agenda.
It warrants skepticism and further investigation at least.

Marilyn monroe was enema'd to death. With such a large amount of drugs that she would of physically passed out before the lethal amount.
