Trump chooses big oil over clean water and lives. Time to fight back. We can't let him slide with this bullshit!

I got banned from the Donald for simply question his decision on this. Ridiculous!

There's no room for discourse anywhere. Just pick a side and retreat to your echo chamber. /r/thedonald vs /r/politics

They're both equally biased though.

Yeah, that was the sentiment of my post.

Go to r/askthe_donald. Since its inception, r/the_donald has always referred questions there.

Bullshit! He seems to be the only one working to fix the air and water in the U.S. ask Flint MI.

What is he doing for Flint? Honest question, I haven't heard anything.

Total horseshit if I've ever seen it. What did he do--have the National Guard go in and slap "TRUMP" in big gold letters on the bottled water?

SEEMS to be. Have people not learned that presidents always lie and make fake promises when trying to get into the office?? History repeats itself and the people never learn. They just vote another man in a suit into presidency and expect change, saying "oh THIS time it'll be different!".. so gullible and naive (if not naive, than they're ignorant).

Unless.... this is all a psy op to protect Saudi oil interests and generate bad PR for Trump. Who among us has really researched the property rights?

Have you?

From what I heard on the news; yeah he signed it, but the pipeline will also be re-routed. If I come across a link confirming that, I will update this comment.

That is my understanding. He signed it but there is still more negotiating going on.

Who is we? The only conspiracy here is what's special about this pipeline? Someone is paying and getting paid for this level of opposition. Who's the real money behind the movement?

truthbomb

Pipelines leak in the US all the time. I live near a leak that let thousands of gallons into a wetland. Nobody would have known for months, except there was a wildfire nearby and the firefighters discovered it.

It was a relatively new pipeline.

Sorry, I was talking about a conspiracy in the conspiracy subreddit. Not sure how your random anecdote contributes.

Well that's not the only conspiracy here. Do you realize how many people think trump is our savior? Blinded by ignorance and naivety. I think what's so big about this pipeline issue is that it's on private property (Indian Reservation) and the attacks on peaceful protestors. It's getting a lot of attention because people have had enough with this corrupt fucking system

I think it's Buffet behind all this. He doesn't want to be an oil man, but by golly he will use his railroad to transport it.

Except you claim they are safe, when there's ample evidence that they are not. One Google search show 4 since January 1st in North America alone...

How many people died in the incidents you're referring to? How would you power the factories to make all of the alternative fuel products?

Immediate deaths is the only importance?

Of course, the majority of the US runs on coal or petroleum products, but new monetary investments should go into renewable energy (and STEM education) to not only create jobs, protect the environment, but also to promote our sustainability and autonomy.

Immediate deaths is the only importance?

That's cute, but obviously not what I said. Happy you are reasonable enough to agree with the second point. Good thing there have been and continue to be significant investments in renewable energy and STEM education also! Most recently, it looks like Mr. Musk is finding a way to be successful with Trump at the Helm.

And here we have the topic slider in his natural habitat with his croney Mr Truthbomb to you sir

Misinformation, misdirection and disinformation

You seem to follow this Russian guy around.

And my comrade and I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you dang kids!

Warren Buffet owns the railroad and wants the $ to transport it wherever it needs to go.

im sure his previous stakes in the company and rick perry just stepping off the board of directors had nothing to do with this decision...

Its not a zero sum game, you can explore oil and still stay well within environmental laws.

Like that's worked well for us in the past! (sarcasm).

Yes

Well hey, if it isn't our most prolific Russian disinformation agent!

Go on and tell me how to build a free energy device, or perhaps at least illuminate us on how the Earth's electrical power is generated? You know, the lightening powering the rotation of the core? How do you think we can harvest this? Wouldn't be as easy as building a resonant transformer of sorts, would it?

My guess is you know nothing of truth, and a lot about mistruth.

I don't actually think you're Russian, BTW.

He hasn't been in office like enough for you to judge his priorities imo.

The executive order only allowed for the negotiations to continue and to be expedited. Sean Spicer President Trumps press secratary commented on this issue by saying that the army corps of engineers plan to move the pipe lines around the sensitive area inhabited by natives is the main plain heading toward.

Cool so you're in favor of us being even more in the pockets of the Saudis. Any green initiative increases our dependence on foreign oil and makes it even more impossible to call out the House of Saud for their crimes

OK so people need to see that you are paid opposition to Trump. Reason being he has two important caveats, 1) american steel.will be used so less of a chance to have a leak and it will be rerouted 70 miles away from the native american lands.

Still need to hear confirmation on this, but you are either misinformed or purposely spreading anti-Trump rhetoric.
