They are scared because they know what's coming so they are throwing the sink at the situation: increased paid-for shilling, resparking and redoubling down on the Russian dossier that got debunked weeks ago, calling for explicit violence and reporting on it as "news", etc.

Yeah I have to avoid most of my favorite subs because the shilling is ridiculous. I know there's a lot of Americans on here but seriously everything is about trump. Fucking shit is driving me insane.

I haven't really enjoyed browsing /r/all like I use to for a while but I was still checking it until sometime this month I decided it wasn't worth looking at anymore.

I feel exactly this way. Even friendly subs like here. So much shilling and disinformation.

They are starting to field some well made accounts. Many of the more sophisticated ones have 6 and 7yr old accounts with 100k karma. They still use the week-2mo old accounts for the occasional drive-by, but I am starting to see a great deal more action from the heavies.

Bear in mind, I totally understand there are people with opposing view points. And there should be, I am glad we don't just have an echo chamber here, because I don't even trust half of what I believe.

But, between just becoming familiar with the people that I usually run into around here, some judicious tagging, and some other tricks that I trust for outing some of these people, I have discovered quite a few of what I call heavy accounts. They got depth and weight. However, if you go digging you can usually find where there is a significant break in their comment history between the time the original user stopped using the account, and it got picked up and put to use by whatever org is running them.

My experience is that real people don't resort to personal attacks "(I was called a "dummy" for asking why Hillary wasn't going to be persecuted) and tend to be more neutral or logical, and not so seemingly desperate to disparage others' opinions. It really makes any discussion stifling and this sub wasn't always like this. I almost wish Hillary did win because I can't take 4 more years of a brigaded sub!

That is how you identify the casuals. There are others that are more subtle, but they invariably use conversational traps and eventually just attack or belittle.
