Donald trump
0 2017-03-05 by throogul
So I'm a Brit, trump plans to make income tax zero for people earning less than 25000 a year, wants to remove illegal immigrants, and actually communicates to his people in a familiar environment, How or why is he the worst president? Genuine question

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/news/2682564/us-president-donald-trump-airstrike-yemen/amp/ okay he has dropped some bombs
n/a str8uphemi 2017-03-05
He is going after ISIS, like he promised. The difference was he wasn't an idiot and didn't speak of how he would do it
n/a ac-phil93 2017-03-05
he has bombed a country...and no laws have been passed changing our tax code

if you click the link to the Plan you get a 404 error. his plan exists but he has not enacted it yet, so our tax rates are still exactly the same as they were before.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Okay, but I just downloaded his plan no problem?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
https://assets.donaldjtrump.com/trump-tax-reform.pdf worked fine
n/a ac-phil93 2017-03-05
i know, i've seen this. i was saying that the link in the article you sent me is broken.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Oh fair, my bad!
n/a zanzibarLunch 2017-03-05
Everyone gave Obama about 4 years & 10 trillion dollars before jumping down his throat about false promises of change and stuff, Trump hasn't been president two months and people are saying he's a liar piece of garbage who hasn't done any of the shit he said. Give him a shot at least, if you are an American who is rooting for your president to fail & slander him before he tries to succeed you are a problem. By the way more innocents killed(mostly by drones)under Obama than any other president ever so not sure if the bombing thing really has a leg to stand on.
n/a ac-phil93 2017-03-05
? all i did was refute the two claims made in OP's post that were factually incorrect. even OP conceded that the bombing claim was false. where did i root for failure are call anyone liar or garbage?
don't hijack my comment to go an rant that's got nothing to do with me or what i said
n/a zanzibarLunch 2017-03-05
You used those two reasons to answer OP's question that asked why he was the worst president, I responded to both your claims on why they are completely irrelevant. Not hijacking, leave that to the terrorists.
n/a zanzibarLunch 2017-03-05
Sorry you give so much of a shit about reddit karma that means nothing or whatever, I was just using your post as an example of what a lot of people are doing. Also figured you were using those two things to answer his question "Why is trump the worst president?" Calm down nerd you'll totally get a bunch of karma on your next post and nobody hijacked ur comment & flew it into the twin towers, it's still there & just as good as it'd be with or without my addition.
n/a ac-phil93 2017-03-05
it's like your reading my comments through wax paper....i didn't say a single word about reddit karma. i just got a notification of a response, and it was you ranting like mad about some shit i have never even said.
my post is NOT an example of "what a lot of people are doing", because nowhere in my comment did i namecall or wish failure upon the president, which are the things you listed.
n/a zanzibarLunch 2017-03-05
you must've not read my post because it addressed both the things you said but alright
n/a GoddessWins 2017-03-05
Trump can't change the tax laws and when the federal income tax for the working and middle classes is lowered at the federal level it is raised at the state level via sales taxes and higher fees for things like drivers licenses. They aren't tax cuts for the middle and working class, they are tax push downs.
Congress writes the tax laws.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Then why has written a tax plan?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
It's a proposed plan. Not the final legislation
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
But that means he can change it, right?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Congress has all the power in that regard
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Okay, they get the final say?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Yep
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Are they elected?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Yeah?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Okay, sweet
n/a OrchardGhost 2017-03-05
They're elected in the same shady way as our presidents are. We the People don't actually have a say in the matter.
n/a mastigia 2017-03-05
As the executive he has a certain authority to incentivise consideration of his proposals, like Obama did with obamacare. But, president can't make law.
n/a GoddessWins 2017-03-05
The President can submit his budget ideas to Congress. He can't compel them to write the tax laws as he says, but he will sign off on theirs, Trumps support is the same as the group that selected that Congress.
The Republicans refused to even look at President Obama's.
n/a buzzlite 2017-03-05
Thank the maker they didn't bother with Obama's tax proposal or we would have even more taxpayer dollars going to Hamas and La Raza.
n/a GoddessWins 2017-03-05
Sure, sure happy day to you as well.
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
I think he is only raising the floor for taxation by what would normally be done to keep up with inflation. Currently, you get the earned income tax credit at 20K a year.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Yeah you're probably right, I just can't understand how he can be considered the worst president, he hasn't done much yet. Seems extreme considering bush, bush, Reagan, Clinton and barry
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
A lot of it has to do with appearing coarse. People see a lot of the things he verbalizes as being beneath the dignity of the office.
Could you imagine one of the royals behaving this fashion without similar polarization? This is like living a real life King Ralph for some of us.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Aye, but maybe thats what america needs right now, something different Instead of the same old broken sysyem
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
A vote for Trump was always a vote for a wrench thrown in the works, not a vote for a mechanic.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Yeah man, exactly, let the wrench wreak havoc, people will always rebuild from the rubble
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
It's easier to take that attitude when you don't have kids.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
You would want your kids growing up under the Clinton foundation?
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
Better than dying under Trump.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Last I checked, he wanted to 'make America great again' any reason to assume you'll die?
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
What he wants and what he is capable of doing are two entirely different things.
The man has demonstrated adequately to me he doesn't have the chops to take on the deep state and he doesn't have the good sense not to rile them. All he can do is make things worse.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
I keep hearing of this deep state. Do you mean congress? Illuminati? Because I've seen that thrown around a lot suddenly, and either trump is the monster or its this deep state, in which case literally anybody would be screwed
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
They're both monsters, its just a question of how they eat children.
The deep state are the unelected policy makers in various parts of government who have access to leverage over the elected officials. Generally these people are in the military, intelligence, and finance departments.
Chances are, the people manipulating the "deep state" actions are, at this point, not attached to the government or public accountability because it has been operating since Hoover or before, depending on whether or not you go in for deep conspiracy theory.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Now we're talking, trump isn't shit, its these clowns we should be targeting! Thanks for your comments BTW! Very insightful
n/a Steadylurkinn 2017-03-05
You guys got a deep state too! MI6 MI5 etc
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Both are corrupt. Just different magnitudes of corrupt.
I would be more than happy if Pence takes over Trump.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
And you know what about pence? Did you even know he existed before trump? (You don't have to answer that)
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
I know vehemently disagree with Pence but at least he is sane
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
He really hasn't done a thing to determine his sanity yet
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
330 am twitter rampages is not sane nor presidential
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
I meant pence lol
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
He hasn't gone on 330 am twitter rampages
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Lol a man can't express himself?
n/a 2McDoublesPlz 2017-03-05
I wish I could get up as early as Donald does everyday.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Plus he is a businesses man. Not a slob off the block
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
He's a real estate salesman.
That's it.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
And America is crippled by debt, so...
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
And?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Let a successful business man try instead of more slimy politicians. Politicians have only made things worse
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Have you ever bought a house?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Nah I'm just a lowly sltudent right now, but my friend has, why do you ask?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Because I was curious if you ever met a real estate salesman before.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
I have, but have you met a politician?)
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Yes.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Big difference, huh?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
He's a great guy who has done a lot for us.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Who is?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Russ Feingold
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
He supported the GI bill? Did he also support the wars that required this bill?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
No, go look him up
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
And would you trust your real estate agent to know how run a country of 330 million people?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
If he was running a business with millions of employees already? Sure! More qualified than politician who hasn't been in charge p
n/a VirulentThoughts 2017-03-05
Biggest number of employees I have found for the Trump Organization is 34,000.
That's not even an Adele concert full of people
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Completely fair, but thats just one business, and also 'It's not the most straightforward calculation. His company, The Trump Organization, is private, so it does not have to disclose information publicly about how much money it makes or how many people it employs'
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Speak to a salesman, you'll probably leave with a house or something, speak to a politician and you'll leave with?...
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
A 911 GI Bill
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Lol what? OK I'll just go contact my local MP yeah? Sure I'll get far...
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Do what the 911 GI Bill is?
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
I just did some jewgling and I'm not sure what your point is? Did a single politician create this bill after a conversation with one person?
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Several politicians worked together to create a bill that allowed a military veteran like me to go to college for free and rent free.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
That's genuinely great. But trump could do this, he's president, I'm not sure of your point? A single politician still can't do a thing
n/a Edogawa1983 2017-03-05
so you pick out one thing that seems to be good and ignore everything else, sure, that works..
Even Hilter did something good too.. not to compare Trump to Hilter, but even Hilter did something good.
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Its been two months. What could he possibly have done to top bush, Bush, clinton, Reagan, Nixon, obama...
n/a Edogawa1983 2017-03-05
HE MADE ARNOLD QUIT SOMETHING
NO ONE MAKES ARNOLD QUIT...
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
JUST DEMONSTRATING HIS POWAHH!
n/a bleepul 2017-03-05
too early to tell
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
That's what I thought too, people are very knee-jerkish with this, IT COULD HAVE BEEN A CLINTON PEOPLE
n/a Blunt4words20 2017-03-05
He is going to do alot of good there is just a hugh mess over here left from the last three presidents mostly obama
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
It's a proposed plan. Not the final legislation
n/a ThatsPopetastic 2017-03-05
Yep
n/a throogul 2017-03-05
Nah I'm just a lowly sltudent right now, but my friend has, why do you ask?
