Religion?

1  2017-03-08 by INTELDracula

During my time of learning conspiracy and enlightening myself I have learned that most religion is to control us. I use to be a Christian and now I'm not sure what to believe about religion. What's your opinion or theory on how we were created, if there a God, and what happens after death. I am very curious about you guys opinion so I can research the information you provide me.

Of course they are fakes.

Sheep...

I find that probably 95% of atheists have not seriously considered the arguments that theists are making, and talk down their noses out of an extreme sense of pride at their own pseudo-intellectualism.

Try reading Plato, Aristotle, and Aquinas' defenses of the existence of God. Most atheists aren't even familiar with BASIC philosophy of religion such as this.

We speak about religions why do you bring God in it????

Because he exists. And therefore religious thought is not worthless, even if most of the institutions are.

What's your opinion or theory on how we were created

Natural evolution

if there a God

Negative

and what happens after death

The same thing that happens before conception - Nothing.

And yet, here you are, a being with consciousness that can't be explained by chemical processes.

Why do thoughts pop into your head? Why do you dream? Why do humans engage in art and philosophy, something that monkeys don't do at all?

a being with consciousness that can't be explained by chemical processes.

Why not?

Why do thoughts pop into your head? Why do you dream? Why do humans engage in art and philosophy, something that monkeys don't do at all?

Animals - Not just monkeys, have dreams and are capable of engaging in complex thought.

I upvoted you for sharing your opinion.

Religion is the ancient understanding of nature. Science is the modern understanding of nature. Nature is best described with mathematics. Religion is your relationship with the universe. It is how you interpret it and interact with it. Nature is the existence we all share here in this universe no matter how we relate to it.

Religion is the ancient understanding of nature.

I don't think saying that the Earth was made in 7 days is an understanding of anything.

Maaaaybe the Earth was spinning waaaaay slower back then... so a day could have been the equivalent of millenia.

Then what made it speed up so much?

Got hit by a glancing blow from a large speeding comet!

Where is the physical evidence of this impact?

Dude... it happened back before dinosaurs... there no impact proof left... but the moon is a chunk of the comet that broke off and didn't escape our gravity. Took a long time for both of us to turn round again.

An impact capable of speeding up the day from a million years to a single day would leave an impression.

Don't you think?

Oh it did leave an impression... but that was like a billions of years ago... and Earth was still soft and goopy under the surface... so we kinda formed back into a sphere after a really really long time... but we aren't nearly as large as we used to be... we lost a good chunk of us that is hurtling thru the universe as bits of debris to this day... damn it must be so far away by now.

and Earth was still soft and goopy under the surface... so we kinda formed back into a sphere after a really really long time

Which religious text are you following? Because this can't be the Bible.

Well duh... 95% of the Bible isn't real.

So what are you basing your arguments off of?

Imagination?

Yeah... Imagination... and some documentary that I don't really remember very well... but mostly my imagination.

Well then thanks for letting me know I should ignore you henceforth.

What did you expect... you come in here saying the Bible isn't real... well no duh... it's obviously a storybook... historical fiction at best... might as well have some fun with it. Shoot off some theories... just enjoy it. Got any other obvious Bible falsehoods I can attempt to debunk with "speculative science" aka "imagination"?

You came in here saying that maybe the earth was spinning slower waaaaaay back then.

How about you substantiate your claim?

I said "Maaaaaaybe"... Thats a big "maybe" if you didn't notice. It obviously wasn't spinning the exact same speed it is now... so it was either spinning slower or faster... or not spinning at all! 50/50 chance... pretty good odds.

We're on /r/conspiracy/ if you didn't notice... shit doesn't need to be true for people to say it... I'll forgive you though... your probably new here if yer posting "Zomg! The stuff in the Bible didn't really happen!"

pretty good odds.

No.

We're on /r/conspiracy/ if you didn't notice... shit doesn't need to be true for people to say it...

This isn't a sub for spouting nonsense. You will get slapped with the hand of truth here.

Scientists think that a large object, perhaps the size of Mars, impacted our young planet, knocking out a chunk of material that eventually became our Moon. This collision set Earth spinning at a faster rate.

Right, but that's seperate to what you were proposing.

When am I gonna get slapped? Do you know a guy that is gonna do it?

Right, at the time some religious texts were written we did not understand the universe we live in as well as we do now. Sorry I did not state that better.

I don't know about death, but it seems pretty clear that only the chaos paths have anything to offer in terms of individual empowerment. Satanists get at least that much right - they're on one of the chaos paths.

I prefer Eris if we're doing the chaos deity thing, but to each his own.

Same. The doctrinal mandate to heresy really made me think.

God made man... But he used the monkey to do it

Apes in the plan... We're all here to prove it

I can walk like an ape... Talk like an ape... Do what monkey do

God made man... But a monkey supplied the glue

Religion? Bad.

But Christianity is true. There's a ton of intentional misinformation piled on top to confuse everyone, which is why we celebrate the birth of the nature god on winter solstice.

But if you read the actual Bible on its own, and take the time to understand it in its historical context, it's a profound book.

Proverbs is a good place to go to take a fresh look.

Anyone that tells you they know the answer to these questions is full of it.

I'm with you on that. I used to be a Christian and all it did was set boundaries for my freedom of thought and bring trauma. If anything, my "beliefs" are eclectic- I'll believe it when I see it, so the things I have witnessed and have made an impact on myself, no matter which religion, have shaped my mindset. But I've felt the most free because there's zero rules or regulations getting rid of the church. The Christian church ruined my childhood and it's destroying my family before my eyes, so yeah it's not for me.

You're asking one of the most important questions you may ever contemplate.

I believe there are Universal and Spiritual Laws that apply to all beings throughout the cosmayas. Our body/vessel is temporary but our consciousness is eternal. Reincarnation is real. Most of us have temporal amnesia when we reincarnate. The purpose of which is for us to have an easier time learning new lessons, with the goal of spiritual ascension.

Universal and Spiritual Laws:

Universal Law of Nature Universal Law of Symmetry Universal Law of Light, Sound & Vibration Universal Law of Movements and Balance Universal Law of Innocence, Truth & Family Universal Law of Change Universal Law of Life Universal Law of Perception Universal Law of Free Will Universal Law of Judgement Universal Law of Unification & Unity Universal Law of Love

Spiritual Strength of Health & Happiness Spiritual Law of Man Spiritual Law of Equality Spiritual Freedom of Man Spiritual Law of Choice Spiritual Law of Karma Spiritual Growth of Man Spiritual Law of Healing Spiritual Law of Protection Spiritual Protection of Family Spiritual Law of Future Sight

There is an ultimate creator.

Om Shanti /|\

Peace to you, and all physical and metaphysical beings in the Universe.

May all your Positive Wishes and Intentions come True and may your Sentient Awareness bring you Magical Life Experiences every day! πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽˆβœ¨πŸ’«πŸŒŸπŸ™πŸΌπŸŒŸ
