I think that setting rules for the citation of media is a dangerous thing... goes back to the whole "fake news" campaign... who is the judge of real/fake news? I can tell you right now that I don't trust a system that will judge these things for me.

We could start with their blatant cheerleading of the nonesuch "recovery" - by neglecting to inform readers of "seasonal adjustments" within GDP reporting. If you have ever read real estate articles, you might be aware of how they passed off false data from NAR (which has more greater fools paying for the privilege of living in smaller spaces). To me, though, the most eggregious example of MSM absolutely obfuscating truth is their "critiques" of ZIRP "stimulus" in our economy - particularly its effect on senior citizens, and those who live off of interest and fixed incomes. This group of people (and savers in general) have been eviscerated by ZIRP policy, with nary a peep from the MSM about its destructive effects.

Economic reporting has been the greatest redpill regarding the truth of MSM since 2007.

It used to be the case that if a mainstream article was posted here on /r/conspiracy, the comment section would reliably rip it apart and provide better context than any article could. Now we get bot comments and misdirection burying whatever sensible things real people come up with.
So in that sense, mainstream articles have a place on this sub; as a target for our criticism. However these days it's more likely to be held up and used to divide us. Fucking shills.

I wouldn't object to a ban of the big players in msm. Fox, Cnn, NPR, ABC, NBC. I think they are often dangerous propaganda. And aside from that, I don't come here to get the stuff I can easily find on TV. That is opposite the reason I come here, their material is fundamentally inappropriate for this sub.

I personally support never reading fox cnn abc nbc, but I wouldn't ban things. NPR is different in that there is potential for the NPR to be a public resource. After all it's supposed to be accountable to citizens who fund it right?

NPR is my favorite radio station outside of election season, I have even maintained a membership in the past. They have unfortunately proved themselves to be willing participants in propaganda this year. So I consider them compromised in the same way as RT and will no longer continue to support them. I will also encourage any effort to defund them.

I was also surprised that Democracy Now covered all the weird Soros funded angles, and rarely if ever covers the fact that America has funded ISIS and al Qaida.
Amy Goodman is still trustworthy, but their funding model is lacking if they can't stand independent from their big name sponsors.

I think NPR is a thinly veiled agent of Soros now. And now I wonder how long that has been the case, and what else they slipped in before the relationship was so obvious. Because good propaganda is subtle. It is only obvious now because we have this divergent reality going on to discern the irregularities. I've posted this before, all forms of Media is compromised, to think otherwise would be naive and foolish, truth is a labyrinth in this reality. Random people who I personally don't know, telling me facts masquerading as truth, can take their Barnum act elsewhere. Their lie doesn't work anymore, they are fast approaching to reality 2.0, if you don't like this one, wait for what they have in store for you in the new one, I'll give 18 months max! That is why I personally pay no attention them, it's all diversion tactics, and done on purpose.
