I know being a Christian is heavily frown upon in this subreddit. Been downvoted heavily in other posts related to it here, but I will give my thoughts on this and what I think will happen based what I have read in the Bible and such.

First and foremost I also don't like seeing innocent lives being lost, but the Bible preaches warnings of what will happen, but the worse part of it all is we can't really stop it. What it says it the Bible will happen regardless no matter what we try to do, sadly. One thing people don't tend to understand is what the Bible says even more so what it warns about isn't God doing, but mans doing. Could God stop it? Sure, but it isn't up to God he gave man free will to think and chose for itself and what happens, happens due to mankind nature and lust for self destruction.

Worse case scenario I can see happening to Damascus is this. One as Russia has already warned there may be more chemical attacks, two if there how what would be large enough to provoke the US into destroying a entire city?

Next chemical attack will obviously happen beforehand. Then as much as I hate to say it, but Trump will see it as a attack on innocent lives and most likely escalate the situation by literally dropping a nuclear bomb on Damascus.

What will happen afterwards is the question. With Rex Tillerson still in Moscow as well with China on the side of the US. Anything could happen or nothing at all. Russia could start a war with the US, but Russia would as well have to worry about China getting involved now against them. Since China has invested so much into the US. Since Trump has pushed China to invest even more, China won't simply let it's investment lose a war against another super power so China would be drawn into the conflict. Around this same time NK, Kim Jong Un would happily take advantage of the situation to attack SK as well set up a alliance with Russia to help then against China. So we would have a 4 way war between US and China vs NK and Russia. Iran, Turkey would also play a role against the US. Europe and NATO would instantly start pushing troops from the Ukraine into Russia.

It would become a world war for sure, but I don't think it will last for years like previous ones since nukes will be involved. I do believe Russia and it's allies will fall, but at the cost of potentially and nearly 2.5 billion lives or more mostly in Europe, Asia and the Middle East alone.

I personally rather not see it, but I face the reality of the fact there isn't something we can really do to stop it at this point. If April 17th is the due date. Then that is when it will happen. Just my two cents.
