To be honest, I am not sure. The media blackout surrounding the situation is very strange. Seems they are either trying to not freak people out (which simultaneously might put them in danger if this is all legit) or they are trying to get their narrative in order before making it public (or both) Hopefully we can collectively get some answers.

This guy was live for almost 2 hours, he was located and shut down by local police. They drained his devices remotely and cut his YT feed as he was going to the scene.
That is the other extremely important issue to discuss. I was watching that stream live when his feed got cut off twice. The first time just so happened to occur seconds after he said "the mainstream media are bums and are still not covering this" or something to that effect. The second time someone alerted him police were watching his live stream and shortly after he said a cop started tailing him. They quickly pulled him over and had him exit the vehicle at which time they ordered him to cease and desist and locked up his concealed carry weapon. Interesting that they do quickly found and stopped the "vigilante" but have yet to locate the shooter who broadcast live on Facebook....

But, I've been following this since about an hour after it happened and the silence from the MSM yesterday, during the initial hours of the manhunt, was deafening. It was hours until some students at local colleges and universities were made aware by their schools. Most found out from people on social media and were angry.
You've got a man targeting people at random claiming he's killed many more (unconfirmed) and will continue to kill more. Unsually the MSM has a field day with these sorts of events but this one was certainly different in the initial hours following the live stream murder.
I wouldn't say heavily... I was scouring local news after I heard it from a friend all the way in Nashville and saw it all over Twitter Sunday afternoon around 5, found nothing till the 6pm news gave a small briefing and then the press conference (pointless) at 7.
