An increase of Air activity

I live in a small town called Seward Nebraska (you can look it up if you want) but we live near the Nebraskan air base which held lots of nuclear missiles in the Cold War. I know this sounds really tin foil hat like but I've noticed a lot of air traffic lately. Not just commercial planes but helicopters bringing things in and out and the military planes. They have a distinct sound for the most part. Idk what's going on but there has never been this much just seems weird.

Probably the placebo effect.

You think it's a lot bc you're paying attention to it

Idk because I've lived hear my whole life and everything has been mostly quiet. I haven't been really paying attention to it even before I just started noticing around December that things were picking up

Frequency illusion.

Check this site out OP. You can filter it to only show military flights, and even download reports from flights in the past to compare the number of flights. As long as it's normal routine traffic, you can track all the flights in and out of the base. If they're not coming up, that usually means it's actually operational, and they'll switch off their transponders.

Damn. That's the very first time I've ever seen this site go down. I monitor air traffic daily on this site in fact, and have never seen it completely down before. This is a little concerning based on the day. Hopefully it comes back online.

The mobile site is still up and running https://global.adsbexchange.com/VirtualRadar/mobile.html
