I don't know how it all works, I have trouble even grasping the scale of this, the fact they managed to pull it off, but from where I currently stand (after years of interest and research on conspiracy topics) it's the truth.

I've generally found on /r/conspiracy , any topic that is controversial to fundamental views to be massively brigaded. However, the whole point of a conspiracy is the idea that we are being false led. When I see a conspiracy get massively attacked on the conspiracy subreddit, it makes me question if we were just getting too close to the truth.
To take any position as a fact and refute all other differing opinions is the main goal of the TPTB. People complain about shilling, on both sides of each argument, but TPTB don't need to. We do it to ourselves instead of opening our minds to different perspectives. Their methods of mind control are present here everyday when people close themselves to the thought of a different perspective. People let their reality become blinded by ideologies, religions (and yes, science is a religion), politics, etc.
I'm not a flat earther, but I do not think they are mentally ill. Although I have never met one of them in person, they seem perfectly fine to me. They just have a different opinion, that's all.

I'll save you some time though, the Earth is round. Aside from scientific jargon which most people don't really understand anyway there is no reason to propagate a lie about the shape of the Earth. I've heard various thoughts thrown out there but none of them make sense.
Almost every other conspiracy will tell you to follow the money and see who benefits there is no one at the end of that trail in a flat earth world.

Follow the money, the end goal may not be to make people believe the earth is flat. Another goal would be to discredit those that dig too deep and find conspiracies. Who could benefit by discrediting "conspiracy theorists"?

Earth is not FLAT. It also is not ROUND. Shape and Depth are ILLUSIONS. It is a Holographic Projection that only projects what is being observed at that moment.
