My kids are a 12 year old shaggy dog that looks like a wookie, and a black cat that has multiple personalities and who beats up my wookie dog. They're the best :3
I'm sorry to possibly be a downer on the celebration, I've noticed that all of the low IQ/ low income people in my life have at least one kid. People I know who are prepared and would be wonderful parents are either not conceiving or have miscarried at least once. Is there something more behind this, or am I just pissed at the way the cookie crumbles?
It just seems to be a trend in my life, family (immediate and extended) and acquaintances all falling into one of these sides either dumb and able to have kids or fully equipped and unable to have them. If there was a conspiracy, this sub would know about it. If there isn't, I guess that's the way it goes. Thanks for responding.

I've seen a lot of parents that have money to take care of kids, but completely lack in the emotional department. I've seen poor families that get judged because of their income, yet give insane amounts of love and attention their kids deserve. I've seen women that cannot conceive turn out to be some of the best mothers in other ways. The world is a vast and beautiful place.
I have observed people who cannot conceive, and they forced the issue, and dammnit if god was'nt right...they should'nt have kids. Whatever it is...not everyone is made to be a mom.......truuuust....I am not saying every woman who can not have children should not. I am however, saying that some, should not, do, and its cringey to watch....its like they are still twapped in this narcissistic cocoon, and the kids can't get their attention for a moment. Might just be my SIL..
Motherhood is somewhat of a conspiracy in and of itself! You are lead to believe that you get that sweet little baby to 18 successfully and your have accomplished your mission! This is totally false...
A mom is the tallest tree in the forest to her children who mean to live in her shelter but a great mom will bend away from her children just enough to let the light in and watch them grow...you bent just right!
This is so silly, but no one has said this to me today, and scanning this thread made me bawl like a baby. My little girl has a 103° fever and we've not slept in the last 48hrs and today has been all about my MiL, who CLEARLY doesn't realize that I, too, am a mother.
Perhaps you and your SO can make up for it next weekend - let him know that you're a bit dis-jointed - (men are not mind readers!) and just love on your sick one! Get some rest!
Oh, he has nothing to make up for :) I'm just a bit salty coz his mum is a silly old cunt, but that's not his fault. He was sent away for work this weekend, and has been out of contact today, but he'll be home soon enough, and that will more than make up for having to endure his mum solo.
And tbh, I had a wonderful day. I don't need presents and flowers and all that jazz. I got to cuddle and read books to my bambina for most of the day, in between cleaning up vomit and mopping her brow. Cuddles are few and far between now that's she's so active and independent.
Oh, I'm so sorry your little girl is sick! And you don't even have to tell me about Mother-in-Laws! I have one of those too! Thank God she lives in another State!
Hope your daughter gets better. And afterward, you need to take care of yourself too! You deserve a break and some "me" time! :-)
My child just starting saying "mama" a couple of days ago just in time for Mother's Day! (She's been saying "Dada" for three months! lol) Even though we aren't doing a big celebration today, it was nice to see this on a sub I enjoy reading.

Also HMD to all those who wanted to be moms but couldn't thanks to the shitty economy.
n/a DonnaGail 2017-05-14
Yes, that is a good point. Also, some people have tried to conceive and is wasn't successful. Or had miscarriages. Etc.
So Happy Mother's Day to everyone who wanted to be a Mom too!

There are plenty of high IQ/higher income people having children.

Often people with more education wait longer to have children. The older you get the more potential for trouble. My thoughts anyways.
n/a JamesColesPardon 2017-05-14
Consider myself smart guy.
Have two kids now (4 and 8 weeks).
Didn't feel right about not at least replacing myself and my wife numbers-wise and she agrees.

Thank you. Happy Mother's Day to you too! I wanted to be a mom but its not in the cards for me. So I got a beagle.

They show me ads like this to make me upset because I already know about how corporations like kfc are used to turn people into zombies.

I always thought the $5 dollar fill-up sounded like a male prostitute (Phillip).

Yeah, now women are taught to be whores and then end up alone and fat because they didn't follow their biology.
