Erdogan's bodyguards and your right to protest

Anyone find it funny that the president hasn't said anything to condemn what happened? Earlier in the day and the month, Trump praised Erodgen and then he sent his bodyguards after peaceful protesters.

Why would the freest country on earth allow thugs from one of the least free countries on earth allow this to happen to our citizens? Is this a sign of things to come? I know we've never been free, but this is out of hand and there's not enough coverage on this. It's despicable.

Media didn't cover it either, not sure why.

There's a few stories here and there, but the apathy displayed by the proles is what troubles me. I don't watch cable news, so I'm not sure if it's been discussed. They obviously don't want an informed populous, though I still can't wrap my head around this not leading on every single news station. In particular, Fox News, considering they push this Muslim narrative that relegates Islamists to animals.

Pretty sure Fox isn't covering it either.

Cover what?

money speaks louder than morals. Can guarantee you Erdogob bribed him in some way.

Maybe it has something to do with the Trump Building in Turkey.

Is this a sign of things to come?

Yes. It will get a lot worse. Protestors being beaten in their own country, on public space, by a foreign security force. If that's not a wake-up call that works, nothing will.

Turkey is one of the most strategic places on the planet right now. Of course Trump or the US media is not going to show them in a bad light.

As long as he is friendly to US interests, he will get special treatment. The moment he leans towards Russia for friendship is when you will hear bad things plastered all over.
