I post in T_D a lot, and I just want to know the truth. There is a lot out there that suggests he was murdered for leaking to the DNC, so of course people who aren't brainwashed by the Establishment propaganda are going to be interested in this story. Don't try to speak for me.

Yup. My political leanings are firmly to the left but I've posted in and lurked on T_D because they've dug deep into pizza/pedogate and Seth Rich when it was being heavily suppressed elsewhere.

There is nothing we can do to stop suppression like this that I am aware of. The admins would laugh in our face if we brought it up.

If you learn how to spot authentic vote patterns in comments (they are remarkably consistent), you can remove posts that obviously violate it, and ban users that consistently show voting abnormalities.

There is no way to conclusively prove where votes come from though. I mean, obviously I have a pretty good idea, but nothing I could defend.

You guys are the mods. You can set whatever policy you want. If it were my sub, I'd ban probably 20% of the userbase, even if it meant accidentally catching a few clueless people that happen to believe what the CIA says.

The mod team isn't nearly as homogeneous as people seem to think haha. I think it is intentionally stacked with people with opposing views as a form of checks and balances. Your 20% would end up being 40%.

I'd say that there are people who intentionally forum slide and detract when topics they don't like come up. The only way to ensure genuine discussion is to ban anyone who you suspect of being a shill. That sucks though, because you will inevitably catch some people who aren't shills. Its a tricky problem with no good answer, and the shills know that.
