What's our demographic?

I feel as though there are primarily more white heterosexual males on this forum; however, I'd still like to ask what everyone thinks about gender equality.

If good, why? How do we create an environment to foster a world of equality in your opinion?

If bad, why? What issues do you see with having both genders in a species represented equally in any given society?

Just want to have adult conversation here but I'm open to every view.

We are born equal. What exactly is the question?

I mean in terms of how society operates.

no we aren't

Okay finally an opinion!!! Would you care to explain to me why you believe this to be so?

I find it really interesting that you get excited by the only person disagreeing with anti-racism. See my name.

I find it really interesting you wouldn't like to hear about every perspective so as to build an arsenal of first or second hand accounts of events that can help define, recognize, & counter belief systems or social constructs that you deem harmful to not only yourself but others. Knowledge is power. Knowledge comes from the critical analysis of unfettered reception of information in any environment, in my opinion.

You didn't counter my point in the least. I do listen and absorb all points. I never put my fingers in my ears saying lalalala. Why would you jump to that conclusion? I was only talking about your exuberance for the ONE person acting racist.

Because so far they're the only person giving an opinion that isn't tied to attacking the post or me for incorrectly assuming that I promote division or any form of superiority. I generally try to take the easy path & avoid dissonance so I was trying to ignore basically everything else.

We are all human. That should be enough for this sub. Classification leads to apartheids. While I appreciate that you have opinions, you are my least favorite contributor to this sub.

I think you've totally misunderstood my post lmfao I'm simply asking everyone to openly discuss their views on gender equality here in the US & ultimately the world.

I didn't want to immediately say I'm for gender equality in the initial post so as to allow individuals who disagree with me to still feel welcome to comment; unfortunately I now see that it has just served as fuel for fire.

Your contributions, in my opinion, have attempted to divide this sub. I don't think it necessary to elaborate.

I'm sure it's a waste at this point to say that I'm probably just as against division as you are lol I apologize my message was misconstrued to you for whatever reason

What if i was a blind inuit orphan raised in Africa? Demographics are destroyed by common sense and logic. Racism is a created tool to divide us by confusing low iq people. Anyone that believes racial pride is a good thing needs to work on their wisdom. Cultural pride is different and I agree with that but if your culture puts any significance into skin color it's been co-opted and it's time to rethink your teaching.

there are fundamental differences in the male and female brain based on the historical roles they played during evolution, the current distribution of genders across the sectors just reflects this

well, for starters...the ERA was never passed...

Yessss this is huge & people just let it be a thing!!! I have no clue why it's not law yet.

people don't care until they try to exercise their "rights"

What do you mean?

Women don't have any.

Second wave feminism: amen sister. Third wave feminism: wtf are you talking about.

What?

Look it up.

Considering this person used misogynistic and patriarchy in the same sentence, I'm pretty sure they're eyeballs deep in third wave feminism and have no idea what second wave feminism is.

Also, all feminism is cancer.

Not a fan of equal rights and responsibilities?

Equal rights are an impossibility. As for responsibility? Who would enforce it in an equal world?

Just curious about whether or not you support women's sufferage. Isn't that considered an accomplishment by feminists?

I do not support it and in fact am all for repealing the 19th.

Hahhaa well more power to you, free thinker.

Men and Women are fucking different, no matter how much the TV try to tell us we are exactly the same. Men just better at some shit and Women just better at other shit... that's why we go together so well.

Exactly! Strengths and weaknesses, if my husband and I were both the same it would be a sad state of affairs.

I was born a Russian attack helicopter, but I identify as an African RC plane.

Some days I'm The Marlboro Man zipping around on my Harley other days I'm just a granny in a garden.

Nothing in nature is equal.

Genders should be equal in rights in government issues but we will never be equal. Men and women are designed differently. There will be some women physically stronger, more aggressive, and smarter than her peers and vice versa. No one gender outranks the other but we will never be truly equal.

Equality before the law and equality of opportunity, equality of out come? No, pure meritocracy. Equal rights for men and women? Yes, equal responsibility also. Men and women the same? No, we are different on every level, we are naturally good at some things and naturally disadvantaged when compared to the other, on average. Just as every human is born innately advantaged and disadvantaged at something, men and women generally share this. Our brains and hormones are also completely different. We are different, but equal in our worth as Humans. No one is equal in ability, some are better at one thing, some other things, we are all equal as Humans, unless we do something immoral to make us unequal, and continue to do said immoral thing.

The real question is, how many non-humans do we have here?
