Also the 24 hours of sunlight at the south pole. The explanation I see for that is it doesn't happen. There seems to be questionable video but still not rock solid.
You hit it on the head...this is the crux of flat earthism.
So Newton figured out that the heavens motions were natural/ predictable = non supernatural Space past the moon way beyond to every single observable star, comet.
But really its pretty easy to be a Naturalistic Christian, a hundred years of theological discussions, books and scientific philosophies took place post- Newton by the greatest minds , christians and theologians of the day..... but no one here has read any of those dusty old 16th century books or even know they exist.
This is one of the things Copernicus reconciled, how do you explain the path Mars takes through the sky?
If you watch it over time it actually loops back on itself, it makes loop de loops. It wasnt until Copernicus solidified the heliocentric model that the orbit made sense.
When the sun sets below the pancake, ask all your facebook friends in western time zones where the sun is.
If they say the sun is still shining, theyre either telling you the truth or they are satanic illuminati reptilians desperate to keep the Truth from you. Then use Occams Razor.
The precession of Mercury's perihelion. There's only one theory that's ever been able to mathematically describe it accurately and that theory requires an oblate Earth that revolves around the Sun.
It just so happens that same theory also accurately describes every single other thing we've measured regarding celestial mechanics, including really bizarro stuff like quadruple mirror images of stars.
I'd love to a flat earth theory that takes on the math behind these things.

what is the best evidence you can give that the earth IS flat and motionless?

Everyone's eyes and bodies.

Uhhh..your senses lol

I guess if you are a kid growing up in Kansas and you've never been further than the State Fair..... Otherwise, no.

This is a terrible argument.
How do you verify how a computer works with your senses? Have you ever seen an electron move through a circuit?
So what proof do your senses provide that computers work like how you are told?

The eclipes. (Im kinda bias because I know a lot about the flat earth theory, but I have never seen this with a real explanation)

According to video documentation, water tends to ball up in a non-atmospheric and gravitational environment.

Long exposure shots of stars

You realize the flat earth is a disk right? Im sorry but what youre saying here isn't a good example.
n/a seerweaver 2017-06-20
Then what is spinning? The Earth or everything around it?
n/a soonerchad 2017-06-20
Everything around it

What about moon phases?

Different constellations on Northern and Southern Hemispheres

Also read up on Megalithic or 366 Geometry. Way more interesting than dumping effort in a theory that is ultimately meaningless.

And THIS is exactly why I didn't want to explain this any better. Waste of time.

What reason would the PTB or mainstream science want to hide a flat Earth. If it was flat and science agreed, would it change anything?
n/a TomHanksRapesKids 2017-06-20
To hide God.

Why not both, the world isn't either or, that's only in your mind.

The sun doesn't set "below the pancake" in the flat earth theory. Smh
n/a WadeWilsonforPope 2017-06-20
Im not sure how they can reconcile this with video of the Sun going below the horizon

You see entirely different constellations in the night sky in the southern hemisphere, than the north.

I have flown and sailed around the globe enough times to know it's not flat. The journeys I have done would be impossible on a flat Earth.
