My own experience was traumatizing enough, and it wasn't even my dick being cut. I vividly remember having my son circumcised. All the nurses pushed for it along with the wife, "he will feel weird if it doesn't look like his dad's", "girls will think it's weird".

Religion is a joke.

My words about this usually fall on deaf ears but i will continue to try to spread this light. Abolishing your personal religion is a step in right direction. The problem is that religion is so deeply interwoven into our social norms that every time you take a step in the right direction away from it your spiritual mind takes two steps back into the fold. What I'm trying to say is that spiritualty is bullshit because it piggybacked off of the beliefs of others whose beliefs stem from absurdity. Ask yourself why you believe what you believe. Where did it come from? Is this spirituality naturally inherent as a human being or did the original thoughts behind it have sinister motives? Can we really think for yourself or are you just going to give into this thought control that you call spirituality and religion.

Spirituality and religion are like two sides of the same coin. Look at where the original ideas and thoughts came from. You think spirituality came about independently from religion and aren't connected at all? You can't be spiritual but not religious just like you can't be religious without some form of spirituality. You are right, this is a spiritual battle. I used to think we were going to change the world but I know better now. This world is evil. If you are comfortable in this world then you have a spiritual deficiency. If you are sane, moral, selfless- then none of this shit should make sense to you. The world doesn't make sense to people like us and that's okay.

Go get right spiritually. Help others when you can, give when you can, eat, drink, and find happiness. Take comfort in knowing this world I'd exactly as it's supposed to be- your job is to be a good person and find happiness in spite of the world... not to be in harmony with the world.

Ill end by sharing something that freed me in a major way when I really came to understand it- Brother, you don't have to participate in ANYTHING. Fuck being cool, popular, rich or famous. Fuck what the rest of the world does- if it's wrong it's wrong. Don't compromise, and don't feel obligated to participate.

We do not have to participate in this shit, and there is no fixing it either. Do not worry, just live and do good for you and those around you, and that's enough.
