Interesting correlation with Flat Earth

38  2017-07-07 by mastigia

So I was just discussing the Flat Earth psyop in another post, and we made what I believe is a very interesting discovery. The other user had pointed out that the FE astroturf campaign really didn't take off around here until around January of this year. I entered that criteria in to Google Trends, and sure enough he was right:

This kinda tickled something at the back of my mind, it bore a striking resemblence to something else we have seen kicked around here a great deal. So, I added that to my comparison and we get this:

https://i.imgur.com/zzczM1n.png

That was a little bit of an eye opener. I am sure most of us are familiar with the comparison that has been made in the past with Fake News as the other data point, so I decided to add that and see what we get:

I dunno about you guys, but I think we know where the Flat Earth initiative came from now. They originally tried to put a smoke screen over it with Fake News, and it appears that was not having the effect they desired. So a little while later they decided to try to frame us all as crazy Flat Earthers, I mean how could anyone who thinks the earth is flat be taken seriously about anything else? This is shady AF.

This ties in with another observation I made the other day, that since this CNN situation got fired up we have seen virtually no Flat Earth posts around here. People familiar with the regular ebb and flow of this sub know that we typically get several of those posts around here a day, or we were up until fairly recently.

So based on this I posit that the same people that are trying to control the CNN blackmail narrative are the ones that perpetrated the Flat Earth psyop on us.

What do you guys think?

Edit: I decided to run some more search terms for fun.

And then I thought maybe Syria would be cool. But google has now flatlined results for Flat Earth:

This is a nice find, man. Well done.

+1.

there's a widespread, secret organized takedown in play. these subjects, imo, are designed to make people actually think about the problem domain and to recognize that many of the assumptions they've taken as fact because the Hero of Science has told us, were rooted in bad experiment design, or based on flawed science in general. timed so as to wake up a predictable number. staggered so as to keep that cohort cohesive. and ordered in a narrative way that leads this same Cohort of Active Resistance down the same path.

So, you think this might be part of something like the HLI initiative, or am I misunderstanding?

yup

They are definitely the good guys. But I think FE is primarily being used to make us look crazy, and not something they would do.

hah..i don't agree.

Please define HLIinitiative. Google wasn't sure.

High Level Insider. Supposedly there is a secret group of powerful whitehats that are trying to fight TPTB.

Ah, yes, HLI. Counter coup times.

High Level Insider. Highly recommended and confirmed.

You're saying you think the good guys are making a bunch of "obvious troll is obvious" posts to try to wake people up to the shilling?

Very interesting strategy...

it's all about packaging

The M.E. and Flat Earth has a lot of interesting correlations.

M.E.?

Is that Mandela effect? Would be a good search term to graph above.

Hollow earth too.

agreed.. FE and Hollow Earth could be the same thing. NATO exists to protect the north atlantic. why there? there's nothing going on there. except for maybe the centre of the petri dish that leads off "plane"t.

I remember hollow earth being widely pushed about the first time wikileaks really pissed the war room off, and also about the time we trashed libya under false pretexts.

Looks like the same people that bring up flat earth bring up Mandela Effect. Nice catch.

Mandela Effect is real to some degree because Dolly from Moonraker most definitely had braces.

My wife and I both remember the Bernstein Bears. Not sure if I am a believer, but I am watching.

I watched Moonraker over 10 times in my life before the Mandela Effect took away Dolly's braces.

The Mandela Effect is real. I would bet my life on it, because honestly if my memories are so flawed that I remember Dolly having braces even though she never did then I would probably consider taking my own life anyway.

Not a simulation. Conciousness in physical bodies in this 'realm' maybe but the whole world isn't constructed through a computer program.

That too. I like the idea of the "astral" and other realms/dimensions to our reality. I think it matches up to some details of ancient history quite intriguingly.

I plan to attempt astral projection at some point I'm just far more talented at procrastination

3D procrastination

That is what has been purposely created to distract us from experiencing more. I've only had sleep paralysis and some deja vu and a shared premonition. I'm shitting a brick to experiment lol

deja vu

I'VE JUST BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE!

Hahaha!

This is simply the best argument for why the ME is real. Thank you for further proving it to me.

The little girl had braces. The scene where Dolly came in was after and we all expected her to have braces but there weren't any. Just that amazing rack!

Source: was teenage when I saw this in the theater.

Sorry I'm not following you can you explain more or do you have a link? What little girl? Is there a little girl with braces in Moonraker? I haven't watched the whole movie in 10 years

Either have I but I did just look am kooky Mandela effect people have ruined the Internet. Can't search without getting endless stuff about Dolly not having braces.

I will watch the movie and save the clip. But not for a while. Honeydew list is in full effect today.

Ok

(((bernstein bears)))

wait you mean its the same users? or just number of queries?

Same working group. Like obviously CTR is one working group, then Cambridge Analytica is another working group. Well, there is this one here that is doing these things. Just speculation.

Those search peaks surprised me. I remember seeing a lot of Flat Earth videos June/July 2016. That was roughly the same time I found out about the Mandela Effect.

The Mandela Effect is definitely real, even if you only take the perspective that multiple people worldwide seem to apparently share the same incorrect memory about a topic.

Personally, I cannot explain one of the effects. It was an Apollo 13 movie quote that changed after I watched the video (I know that sounds insane, but please Google it, there are many, many reports of pretty much the same story as mine)

I had read on a forum that the Apollo 13 movie quote was now "Houston, we've HAD a problem". Whereas, I had always remembered it as, "Houston, we HAVE a problem". I searched for the clip to confirm if I was wrong or right. I watched the clip and Tom Hanks clearly said, "Houston, we've HAD a problem".

"Ok, wow I've been getting that wrong all these years I didn't realise it was "we've HAD a problem", oh well, chalk that up to bad memory", I thought.

Then a little while later, (I think it was in the region of about 3 weeks), I read somewhere else that the quote had changed for several people. People were saying it had switched back to "..we HAVE a problem". I thought, "no way, these people are nuts, I only checked that a few weeks ago".

Well, I checked the EXACT same video/Youtube URL that I used the first time when it said "HAD" and now it said "HAVE"

Please see this comment thread on Youtube (it should take you to the first of many dicussions on the video about being initially hearing HAD and then it changing to HAVE the next time they watched it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAmsi05P9Uw&lc=z13utrlb2qixvtylg23lsff4ftypybaz504

That's not the only page with people all sharing pretty much the same testimony. I've tried to compile just a few of the comment/forum threads online that talk about the change:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MandelaEffect/comments/6ky4oq/do_mandela_effect_name_changes_point_to_how_the/djsfbpx/

No, I honestly do not have a clue what is going on. I know to the outside observer this sounds ludicrous, but I can assure that it feels very real to me and really shook me up for quite some time.

I have no idea what could've caused this. Of course, with the Mandela Effect, the easiest (and to be fair, the most sensible) initial reaction would be to put it down to bad memory. Which is fine, however, in this instance, I had already come to the understanding that my initial memory of it being "HAVE" was wrong. The next time I watched the video and it changed back to "HAVE" was around 3 weeks later so how is that to do with memory?

Now, you could argue that I misheard. That is definitely a possibility. But that would mean that I misheard twice over a very short time period (again, not out of the realms of possibility at all). However, here you find the testimonies of many people all claiming they misheard exactly the same thing.

I'm more than willing to chalk up all other supposed Mandela Effects as my own poor memory, but this one I just can't do that.

If anybody has a reasonable explaination of what it might be and can link to some reasearch papers then I'd be very grateful. I'm not someone who thinks it's parallell universes or simulation theory (it could well be either or both of those, but I can't say without further evidence).

The closest I think I've come to finding some plausible explanation outside of "poor memory" or "bad hearing" (again, not ruling those out either), can be seen at this link here:

I've tried to research Quantum Physics as there were many reports about this being the possible cause. To be honest, I read some research papers and can't be 100% sure if I've understood the concepts well enough to subscribe to that theory.

I did keep finding papers on nanotechnology and things called "quantum dots" though, and that led me down a path of researching various papers about something called "optogenetics". Some research into optogenetics has recently been able to implant false memories into mice. Here's a link to a post with links to research papers inside

https://www.reddit.com/r/Retconned/comments/6kxvd9/theory_mandela_effect_name_changes_point_to_clues/

Again, I don't know if I've fully understood the science behind it or the implications so hopefully someone smarter than me can prove to me that I'm talking nonsense.

I haven't experienced the following two MEs, but there are reports from many people seeing:

1)Back to the Future terrorist van change from a Toyota to a VW Camper van 2)Flintstones change from "Flinstones" to "Flintstones" on various images and videos.

Personally, I don't believe in Flat Earth, I kind of understand their perspective to an extent though. Many of the NASA images/footage appears to be fake and many of us will be all too aware that the media lies, so it isn't a massive leap forward to believe TPTB have also lied about the shape of the Earth. Personally, at this point, I am shape agnostic, I lean heavily to it being a globe, but unless I can prove it with my own two eyes by going up into space, I cannot say definitively either way.

Sorry for the long comment, but weirdly, talking about the Mandela Effect in any conspiracy forum leads to a lot of people refusing to entertain the idea and being actively hostile to the idea on most occasions (which is odd to me, considering some forums like GodLikeProductions and AboveTopSecret have some really far out ideas. Also, a conspiracy forum is the place where you'd assume that any idea would at least allowed to be discussed, being as these places are more likely to question every widely held assumption)

I am familiar with the subject. I don't reject it out of hand. One of the more compelling things about it is how virulently people are opposed to it. Kind of a thou doth protest too much kinda thing.

Thanks for sharing.

dont forget THICC earth. dayum i cant get that THICC earth out my head😍

edited to add: im just being playfull and mean no disrespect

Well, there was that interesting idea of growing earth. Anyone else see that? What was intriguing is, the continents do look shaped to be able to compress to one solid ball.

Where I got lost is that physics is tossed out, as it would take some form of invisible matter generation process for the earth to get so fat.

theyre shaped that way because they were once connected as one large mass

Yes, Pangea. But the expanding earth theory expounded on that.

that theory has some explaining to do, pulling mass out of thin space

And yes, that is where it derailed for me too.

I havnt cruched too much thought into it, i did some posts on this idea a gew years back. we all accept the sun changes in size, output in luminocity, without needing more mass, just readjusting the mass that is already there.... And there is some info floating around about the moon actually slowely shrinking/compacting. Geographic models of venus and mars show similar features of an older higher elevation percentge of their surface also compacting together to form a smaller sphere. As per needing 'more mass' i think this is untrue It is simply stating the earth has changes in volume... Which could be due to say, density and temperature changes... The mass would be the same. Is it plausable that a vastly molten/liguified interior of our planet has a greater volume than at a hypothetic time in history with a vastly cooler interior temp?

im sure it could be calculated by smarter, more knowledgable people than me.

however i would guess that the people who are calculating this stuff dont tend to accept the expanding earth theory.

its definitely less endorsed, and there is a lack of accumulated evidence that supports it vs plate tectonics for sure. but for a good part o last century before plate techtonics, it was a proposed theory more widely circulated as possible, i believe.

Mandela Effect

Ya, I added that in another graph further down.

You should check out /r/retconned where they further discuss both topics.

There are some interesting connections and valid points. I'm surprised these two conspiracies aren't discussed here more, as they can very well co-exist with a lot of other well known conspiracies.

I got banned for talking about God in a post that was about the 144000 in the Bible. Since I am a bible Scholar, I told some cupcake that the 144000 are Hebrew virgins who will be killed for preaching and resurrected and imbued with holy power. Cupcake got mad because he wants to be one of the 144000 but not with all that pesky God stuff.

Interesting, we believe the people who experience the ME are apart of the 144,000. (That's an entirely different conversation)

The ME theories tend to get labeled as "new age", or "pseudoscience", and we know how people feel about those terms. No matter how much evidence there is to support it.

What really interests me are the rigorous efforts to Debunk both FE and ME. It's suspicious and it makes me feel like there really is something going on here.

Top shelf work mast.

This is a good find, and one many of us whispered but wasn't sure. It is a good idea to scare off the normies that trip in here due to some link or idea - then run away laughing.

I seem to recall lots of flat earth talk during mid to end 2016 as we were fighting election issues around Sanders. Flat earth is genius as it is a magnet that attracts such emotion and then sucks the air out of the room.

Interesting, but I don't buy it. They waited nearly 2 months before starting a psyop?

Spikes in searches like this can easily be explained by celebrities like BOB and Shaq bringing up flat earth who have millions of followers. Many people hear about it for the first time from people like this.

I believe they did this when Fake News backfired on them.

I could see that coming from a mile away lol.

It came from somewhere...

Think about it this way. FE is an ancient religious thought. Surely the search term would be pretty constant throughout time? And not spike during one month out of years and years?

Unless someone like BOB with 2+ million followers on twitter made a tweet about it, then it would spike one month out of the years of it being stigmatized by mainstream science.

There would be multiple spikes through time though. BOB wasn't the first one to talk about FE on social media with millions of followers.

So what do you think caused that large spike? A one day long psyop where hundreds of FE threads were posted?

Probably new marching orders for the Department of Defense shills when a new administration took over.

the trump admin has stopped this, increased it, or kept it the same?

No change as far as I can tell.

Minor change if anything. Makes me think Prez in current year isn't in charge of the op, longtime career bureaucrats (deepstate) are behind it

It is interesting but I will say one thing. I've been in this sub for about 4 years now, and about once a year, the flat earthers come in with a vengeance.

But with celebrities preaching about it now as well, it will spark interest with the "common folk". In january alone, you had kyrie Irving, tila tequila, b.o.b., Sherri Shepard, Shaq, just to name a few. It will grab people's attention.

And a few of those have been suggested Illuminati reps. That isn't something I really believe, but it is perfectly possible the people running the psyops will hit these people up and tell them to drop a relevant tweet when they are trying to reinforce a narrative.

For celebrities flat earth does get them attention of course, as proven by the above comment naming quite a few.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just that some may have different motivations

yes i def remember the huge spike when kyrie irving and nba players started talking about it, then we had joe rogan respond to trolls about it, which obviously incited more trolls to talk about it (because theyre getting responses from celebrities). I think that probably explains most of it, though disingenous shills certainly could have seen an opportunity to piggy back off of this

Flat Earth ain't a psy-op. Believing the Earth is flat doesn't suddenly make you go crazy, instead alot (most) of the other conspiracies that exist make a whole lot more sense. Why would they ever risk throwing such a volatile theory out there when it traces right back to them? (Jesuits -> illuminati -> CNN)

that flat earth spike is really, really, really fucking weird. How the fuck does that happen?

Kyrie Irving tweeted the earth is flat on February 17th.

as mentioned, kyrie irving, rogan, etc

This is the second thread in two days you've made about FE and both times you've insulted people for their beliefs.
The first thread you insinuated people who post about FE are trolls and/or shills.

Almost like the folks who usually post that stuff are busy doing damage control or concern trolling or something.

And now here you call people who believe it 'crazy'

they decided to try to frame us all as crazy Flat Earthers

For someone who is a mod of a conspiracy forum, you show a lot of bias against many users. Should I or anyone else be worried about that bias coming through when you carry out your modding duties?

noted

Not trying to start any kind of argument or anything. You are entitled to your opinion as well as any of us and should feel free to express it. At the same time, I feel you have to be held to certain standard as a mod.

Like I have expressed in the past, I understand there are genuine users around here that are interested in FE theory, and for that reason I will upvote the post if it is anything approaching relevant and coherent. However, I will express my negative views about the theory as a psyop in the comments.

None of this has a thing to do with how I moderate.

Look, I said I wasn't starting an argument.

You say it doesn't affect how and what you moderate, I'll accept that.

Fair enough. Seriously, I do my best to keep my personal feelings out of what I do as mod, pretty sure that goes for the whole mod team. But we are people and users too, and unless I flag my username as a mod, I am just another poor confused dude on the internet looking for answers.

I disagree, they are allowed to be people with personal opinions. It hasn't affected the job. The logs are posted publicly and you can say what you believe . The line is there in thick black sharpie and the mods I've seen do a good job keeping the right baskets in the right order. Kind of unfair to say they can't speak on what they believe because they watch for spam links .

Rigidity in space proves earth is stationary.

Debate over.

lol no

That picture has no idea how gyroscopes work in planes. Plane gyroscopes are small scale and don't need to be reset often. If a pilot needs total accuracy, they reset the gyro every 15-30 minutes. Big planes automate this with the use of computers. That would insinuate a round Earth because that wouldn't be needed on a flat Earth.

Furthermore, gryoscopes were actually one of the first experiments created to show the rotation of Earth. You can create a clock by making a large gyroscope in a vacuum and setting 24 evenly spaced markers in a circle around the Gyro. Every day, the gyro will hit each marker. This again doesn't make any sense with a flat Earth. You can go see this yourself at plenty of museums, or you could make your own with a little expenditure and effort.

I think there are more than 144000 who experienced the ME. But maybe we already died. The 144K are going to be priest under the one world rulership.

Well, I have experienced the effect and I assure there aren't many people that want me to run anything, much less a planet.

You would probably be a hell of a lot better than our current rulers.

Haha, I wish that was saying much!

I've been on this sub for years. FE has always been here.

I have been here for like 5 years, and this is true. It has never been promoted as heavily as it has in recent months.

Resident Flat Earth S-H-*LL here. we are keeping the psyop alive for a little while longer until I get word from my reptilian overlords on how the meeting with cthulu went.

Excellent! Keep us posted. I always like to hear what Cthulu has to say.

cthulu says keep believing earth is a sphere.

I think you're onto something Sherlock !

I sure think so. My favorite part was at the end there when google stopped returning data for Flat Earth. Weird as fuck man. It is working again now though.

Threads getting interested ! keep the conversation going people! I wish I had something to contribute.

I think that second spike in flat earth searches might line up with Dave Chapelle mentioning flat earth on Late Night. (March 21st I think. I don't watch that show but I remember hearing about it) I wonder if that's the case and if there was any other prominent media mentions that line up with the other spike.

the flat earth stuff started up when spirit cooking pizza frequently hit the top post spots daily
