Isn't it odd....

That right before, I mean the day before, trump made the remark about sessions being "beleaguered" that suddenly and out of nowhere sessions name was being smeared all over this sub? Yes we have had several anti sessions posts on here before which is not surprising given his thoughts on stealing Americans property via asset forfeiture and his views on weed. It was nothing new, but suddenly it was a hot topic the day before the comment trump made along with trump saying he wouldn't have hired him if he knew he was going to recuse himself. And now that trump has made another negative comment about sessions, the anti sessions propaganda is still going strong.
Some of these posts, I believe are organic. I think some real honest people just parrot whatever the president says because he is their guy and they think he really is out for them, and in my opinion its not unreasonable to dislike an old man that is clearly stuck in a 1950's mindset. I also think more than half of the anti sessions posts on here are nothing less than the work of paid government shills.
We all know that shills exist on this sub. We also know that there are several, and oftentimes competing groups of shills here. Honestly, I thibk this sub is a slam dunk for the pro trump shills because they know how closely tied this sub is to the_donald.
My main takeaway from this post is don't let the shills dictate your point of view even if the appear to be on your side, because shills are NEVER on your side. They only exist to change your mind and promote division within our ranks.

you said it yourself, his thoughts on weed are from the 50s. recently he made a statement saying they should crack down on it, then the posts started

I thought he made his view on weed known a couple of months back?
1 Lo0seR 2017-07-25
Your right, he did.
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
Ok. So if it was made months ago, why the sudden surge in posts about it right before the comment?
1 Lo0seR 2017-07-25
I'm not really sure how the AI bot operates on comment control propaganda.

Reports that Sessions and the DOJ are preparing to ramp up marijuana prosecution

they just did a huge dark net bust, and because trump has been twitter-ing about sessions, seems that he is displeased with his efforts as of late. Trump will dump sessions soon. No conspiracy here...
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
A darknet bust of what?
1 LOST1992 2017-07-25
If you are capable of using your brain, then you can determine whether someone is a shill or not. The only thing I have to know about this Sessions guy is his views on weed and his propaganda against it. That alone ought to tell you about his 'intentions'.
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
I mean yeah, he's a shitty person and a poor choice. It's just weird to me that shills are shilling against the AG is all. And I do t think that everyone on here will look at their posts twice seeing as how their shilling aligns with trumps views and by transitive property, their own views.
1 Rayfloyd 2017-07-25
The shills have been shilling against Sessions since day 1
1 mki401 2017-07-25
Ever consider that it's not boogeyman shills and actually real free thinking people that loathe Sessions?
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
I'm positive some of them are.

This sub is not closely tied to the Donald Trump sub. If you believe that is, then you are merely showing us that you haven't been on r/conspiracy very long. This sub appears to be closely tied to T_D right now because of shills. Before the election they weren't here in as great of numbers.
After the election there was a huge movement by bots and ShareBlue shills to associate r/conspiracy with pro-Trump ideology in an attempt to discredit the sub and to degrade the quality of debate and conversation occurring.
I have personally witnessed this change and the attack on free thinking. The number of political posts on here skyrocketed after the election. We were also bombarded by users from other subs who do not appreciate critical thinking or distrust of authority. These people come here to make fun of conspiracy theories and to once again, degrade the conversation.
I've also notice an increase in comments on posts where users ask for "sources". It's like people are so intellectually inept that they can't even consider the possibility of a conspiracy without some sort of authority confirming it. My argument here is that these organizations that provide "sources" or claim to be an authority on information are a part of the system. The owners of these "sources" have an agenda and have a stake in controlling what we believe.
This is something that has really began to irritate me. This is a conspiracy sub. We theorize what conspiracies might be occurring. If you can't entertain a thought without a source behind it don't annoy us all by commenting asking for one. It's just obnoxious.

Your links just prove my point.
1 -----8________penis 2017-07-25
I thought your point was the sub WASN'T closely linked to t_d?
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
?!?!?!?!?!? A mod stickied a comment welcoming td users here when they took their sub down in protest!!!! If that doesn't scream synergy, then tell me what would!
1 DerkDerkinson 2017-07-25
The mods answer to their bosses. A mod doing something like this proves nothing.
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
And who are the mods bosses?!
1 DerkDerkinson 2017-07-25
The people that own Reddit. Do you want me to come tie your shoes for you too?
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
I don't think the owners of reddit tell the mods of /r/conspiracy what to do. Why would you think that?
1 aevans395 2017-07-25
There is way more overlap between trump supporters and conspiracy theorists than people want to believe. Myself included, and many others are here as a result of the campaign and Wikileaks. Trumps following is literally the anti establishment party
1 murphy212 2017-07-25
I agree with you Derkinson. A post like this one Five Levels of Truths would have been welcomed here before the election and would have generated a great debate. I had posted several such self posts last year, like the one on common knowledge or the "real" conspiracy of history, and everytime got great feedback.
Now when I try I get downvoted into oblivion, whereas the same posts are well received on C_S_T or other smaller conspiracy subs (which I'm increasingly moving towards because of the phenomenon you describe).
1 RecoveringGrace 2017-07-25
This isn't something that just started, OP. Sessions has very few friends here.
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
Right, I know. But what I'm saying is right before Trump made those comments there was a surge in posts putting him in a negative light. It all happened out of the blue. And yes it was known that he was unpopular here before but not like that.
1 TrumpRusConspiracy 2017-07-25
I've noticed the same thing. I also know that Trump's team is working on targeting journalists, and John Schindler tweeted this out before
I take what he says with a grain of salt, but there it is.
1 honkimon 2017-07-25
Makes sense. They'd be learning from the best in the business at stifling descent. The CIA uses a bit more subtlety when they do it but Vlad seems to give zero fucks about making an example of someone he doesn't like. They are rarely ever "accidents" unlike how we do it here.
1 SuperFestigio 2017-07-25

Are you going to do the same?

I recommend people note where cross posts are coming from and who keeps using terms like BREAKING and CONFIRMED in headlines with news that is old/far from confirmed.
Similarly note who is being banned from conspiracy, for what, and by whom.
1 totally_not_a_pirate 2017-07-25
How can I see who banned me and for what reason?
1 kittypryde123 2017-07-25
They don't always clearly/publicly post warnings or reasons but:
https://snew.github.io/r/conspiracy/about/log https://snew.github.io/r/conspiracy/about/log?type=banuser
And you can click on users who were banned and look through their recent history to try to figure out why.
1 niakarad 2017-07-25
I think people need sessions to be their fall guy now, because then they can say it's his fault that hillary and the pedos arent locked up etc etc, instead of admitting that trump doesnt care or that they were lied to.
1 PresidentJamesComey 2017-07-25
It's taboo around here to mention there's right wing shill groups deeply involved in this sub. They have discredited MSM as liberal constructs, engage in obvious character assassination while turned the place into a pro-government for one man sub.
1 InfectedBananas 2017-07-25
People hated sessions when it was being nominated
They hated him when he became AG
They hated him before and after Trump called him "beleaguered"
Shit man, people just don't like him, nothing suddenly about it.
Because he was moving towards more asset forfeiture, people people REALLY fucking hate.
1 SoCo_cpp 2017-07-25
The outrage over civil forfeitures is Reddit-wide and is brand new, only a few days old and still reciprocating. The civil forfeiture outrage just coincided with that out of coincidence
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
I will certainly accept it as a possibility that it's a coincidence and I'm looking too far into it.
1 TheGreatOni19 2017-07-25
Ok. So if it was made months ago, why the sudden surge in posts about it right before the comment?
