Here in Venezuela the streets are starting to cool down because of the elections. Politicians conspire all the time. I'm frustrated because of my country and don't know who to trust. But at the same time I'm happy to know I'm not alone.

Tell us more. I'm interested. There is so much half baked and stilted reporting on Venezuela in the English language press. We really have little idea of what real Venezuelans are living through.

The reason why I'm depressed is that Leopoldo Lopez's team said they would go to the elections although they said they wouldn't allow the streets to cool down. But the thing is we need the milicos's help in order to get rid of Maduro. So going to the elections is giving more oxygen to Maduro until December at least.

Both Ledezma's and Maria Corina's team said they wouldn't go though, that's why I'm happy because Maria Corina does say clearly that there's no way out without the military so far, I see her as the strongman of the opposition.

You probably already heard this but recently there was a group of military rebels that took control of a military fuerte and stole some weapons, that's why I want the opposition to take advantage of the situation. I'm excited and anxious at the same time.

Can you tell us of your experiences with food shortages and currency collapse under the current government? How are you and your family surviving the chaos? From the outside, it all looks very dire for the average citizen.

The government put a lot of effort into keeping things normal in Caracas but ironically, people in the center of the country are a lot worse than us in Zulia and Tachira. Seems we are close to the border, we have acces to Colombian products so we aren't so bad. I actually am somewhat glad that the economy is fast breaking apart because the PSUV's support in both the citizenship and military can only continue to go down. What has me worried like I said, is in fact the politicians conspiring.

What's your position? Are you going to stick it out and stay?

I know a lot of Venezuelans are leaving. Things could get get much much worse before they get better. Sometimes it's better to get out before the shit really hits the fan, when there is no more opportunity to bug out.
