Stop acknowledging the politics threads.

The way this disinformation operation works is accounts are used to give the impression of an engaged discussion. Legitimate users think the community is engaging the discussion organically, and feel compelled to contribute.

If you stop commenting and taking the bait, they stop using the tactic. This type of thing requires us to think about and engage with topics of their choosing. If you don't want to see a bunch of posts about political bullshit, then don't interact with them. Worse case scenario, it becomes a bot war temporarily before it stops (why continue to commit resources to an ineffective bot war). Best case scenario the tactic shows to no longer be effective and is ceased.

It's that simple. Just ignore them.

There's better things to think about :).

Nice try George Soros.

I've stayed off the Charlottesville threads for this reason. The whole thing is probably a false flag, but nazi v communism dichotomy is inherently absurd and I'm not taking the bait.

Me too. Not on board with the 24 news churn.

This whole event has made me sick. I was taking a break from the conspiracy stuff when I got back on tonight. This rally was terrible. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea? Who would support these collectivist type ideologies? The racist bullshit? It makes me so mad because it gives the identity politics types fuel for the fire. They have been losing the moral high ground, and now look what happened... These stormfront types are as bad as the SJWs. I do not want mindless ideology, but freedom! I do not want these new worldviews to destroy America.

It's blatantly obvious. Highly recommend everyone uses RES to tag organic conspiracy users and also tag blatant shills.

if you goto all the anti-trump subs. and ignore/tag the moderators of each one.

You'll cut sitewide garbage by 50% or more.

Do the trump sub too if that's your thing. But that won't make a dent in reddit total spam.

Couldn't agree more. A few of them will even comment in this thread.

It makes me rage. people on a conspiracy forum talking politics. How can they not know politics is all scripted nonsense?

Before. No longer though.

It's so tough. They come into other threads and start pushing nonsense. I say, unless you are going to attack them straight on and call them out for skirting a subject or twisting your words, don't engage them anywhere.

We also have to look out for each other. If you see a fellow user being led astray, gently remind them that the account they're talking to is not interested in open conversation.

I saw a user quoting this site, it seemed to work pretty well.

you can tell it was all bullshit on how fast they came here to say look at the racist. And their hopes to get the Donald banned failed once again. The need to hire better writers if they are going to try and script reality.

Just ignore the problem and it will go away. Do you even flush your toilet?

So where is the line that determines if something is political? Seems to me that topics some people don't like get that label, but if it's something they do like it's "just getting to the truth." Charlottesville as a whole is political; so is pizzagate and Seth Rich. Remember that the next time the spam tide comes in (usually after President Trump does something stupid).

The line seems to be that anything involving Trump is political.

Everything else, IE Pizzagate, Birtherism, Seth Rich or anything to do with the Clinton's is fair game.

Take this bluebill and lets talk about how crystals will heal us! Thats what the TPTB are really trying to hide.

All of this talk of corporations swindling nations? Please no more
