Subreddit effectively Dead after tonight?

What are your thoughts. As a daily lurker here for couple years now.. this is definitely strange and unsettling.

To clarify. I'm referring to the Mod changes.. what the heck is going on? Don't the subscribers have a right to know

Lol "rights" on Reddit

I see what you're saying. Let's just start a new sub

You do that. What is stopping you?

There will most likely be an announcement tomorrow. I'm in no condition to answer any questions right now as I spent my night at an ethnic drinking festival but I assure you there will be a summary of the events that took place while I was getting my drink on.

ethnic drinking festival

beer, wine, or blood !?

They were drinking ethnic. It's a kind of super-powerful grain alcohol mixed with LSD and kerosene. Pretty fucked up stuff, TBH.

Don't ask me, I'm all fucked up on jenkem.

Sounds shitty.

No. From where would that right have derived?

No, it's all fixed and a troublesome mod is out. The mod list looks essentially the same as yesterday to me.

Wait, what happened with the mods?

One of the most blatant partisan mods here finally got the boot.

Partisan ... to which side?

Am asking for a friend.

Well, I'll give you a hint. He went to cry about it on r/the_donald

That some mod started r/conspiracyright so they could talk about conspiracies without talking to who they perceived liberals.

Flytape got banned or something. I think that's the only thing, but I don't like it.

I read that something like 9 new mods were added at the same time after flytape got the boot. This sub is more controlled than ever now.

Nah, it's the same mods as before. They were removed temporarily but readded after Flytape was booted.

It's rather pathetic when it's all done on behest of the people who are only here to discredit, dogpile, and mock people posting here. Looks like /u/Sarah_Connor didn't bother to check the posting histories of those people complaining, and trying to rig/ruin reddit.

This is exactly it. A voting brigade used to be a rare thing around here.

Now, I'm seeing it in multiple posts, every fucking day.

Pro-establishment comments getting upvoted 80 times while comments that are completely normal for this sub get buried to -40.

The mods are responsible for this. During the election, the mods were disciplining long-time regular users for pointing out the inorganic nature of the brigades and the complete lack of account history of everyone involved in them. Regulars here were getting banned for defending the this sub from an influx of extremely obvious outsiders.

That time period was a catalyst for huge changes here that no real /r/conspiracy user was in favor of.

We'll see how long sarah stays gimped by the admins. If it doesn't change, axol will probably have a nice shiny red target on his back.

He seems alright, but there are some underlings close behind that don't seem very... promising...

One mod leaving a sub doesn't mean it's dead. Sounds like you're wanting some drama.

no ...

Nope. They can have my /r/conspiracy when they pry it from my cold, dead hands. Not giving up the fight.

The loss of Flytape has you that much in a depressive cycle? He is a good guy, but you can find him in r/conspiracyright. He isn't dead.

Who knows? Shareblue has infiltrated every other good sub, it remains to be seen if it has this one.

I'm no trump fan but I've been allowed to speak freely here while I'm banned from every other sub for my leftist (NOT liberal) ideas. I find DT people grating, but in comparison to liberals (and their bots) it's nothing. I'll talk to a DT person all day bc they don't use bullshit to bolster their ideas and force them down your throat, they're just misinformed. They also don't use mocking as much as liberals when they can't win a point.

Correct

Spot on. Both have their extremes but one is funny and the other is a dick.

I'll talk to a DT person all day bc they don't use bullshit to bolster their ideas and force them down your throat, they're just misinformed. They also don't use mocking as much as liberals when they can't win a point.

What? That's not even remotely true

Well you've certainly provided some compelling arguments that I'll need to consider in the coming days.

I don't understand why people are attacking Flytape. Do people know him?

I don't know what the mods do behind the scenes nor what transpired. At best, bad communication led to misunderstanding. At worst, a mutiny. Damage done. Why the need to for users to attack the mods?

What exactly was the issue?

One thing for sure is r/conspiracy became an ugly battleground for alt-left and alt-right. Most people seem fed up about hearing about Trump, Russia, Antifa. Was that the issue for internal fighting?

I would've thought the mods would be better able to discuss on an agreed upon policy. If need be a ban on certain topics with redirect to appropriate subreddits.

The one thing I agree with was the left and right were both being played. I believe in that divide and conquer strategy and it works so well to make users turn against one another.

Time will tell what becomes of this subreddit, will it be fine? will it revert to more classical topics? will it be overrun by anti-Trump submissions?
