The National Guard of Texas and its equipment is, of course, in The Middle East and in Afghanistan under orders of Donald Trump, so it is not available as it should be to help the people of Texas. Anyone who wants to see how Donald Trump is NOT making America Great Again need only watch the coverage of this mess in southeast Texas. What one sees is everyone fending for themselves, with no visible help whatsoever from the very organization which is supposed to be helping them.

Of course, we have the Mayor of Houston, who told everybody to stay where they are, and with two feet of rain already flooding the area, and two feet more of rain coming in the next two days, the people are surely screwed for having listened to him.

Donald Trump's comment was "Good Luck". He's just too funny.

I am watching it live and have been for hours. I see lots of humans helping out their fellow man. There are dangerous conditions, it's not always safe for rescue workers to go out. So far the response has been pretty good I'd say, this is an unprecedented event, is reassuring to see so many people helping each other out.

We have warehouses of water and food resting next to the vehicles to transport the supplies, the generators to power our systems, and our equipment required to communicate and land aircraft where ever they may be needed

National guard is deployed by the state. The entire TX national guard is not currently overseas, and the conflict has been going on long before trump took office.

The Texas National Guard is controlled by the Govenor of Texas while in Texas, generally speaking the National Guard is only federalized when ordered out of the state of Texas at the behest of the CinC.
