UFOs Shut Down Nuclear Missiles

In March 1967 Robert Sallas was stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Montana as a missile launch officer for the minuteman 1 ICBM. Sallas and his commanding officer Frederick Mywald at the Oscar Launch Control Center had operational control over 10 minuteman nuclear missiles.
Each of the 10 missiles operated independently and had its own power and backup power. The command and control of these missiles was entirely located within the command capsule and there was no means outside of the capsule to affect the missiles.
On March 24th 1967 Sallas received a phone call from a security officer about unidentified lighted objects flying above the facility making very strange maneuvers. Salas took little interest in the first phone call. Later, the security officer called in to the capsule a second time to report that a 30-40ft diameter large oval pulsating red object was hovering above the front gate of the facility.
Salas began to inform his commander but was interrupted by the missiles shutting down. Alert status on the missiles was lost for all ten missiles while the object was above the facility. The error reporting software indicated there was a guidance and control problem. There were also indicator lights on for security violations at two of the launch facilities where the missiles were physically located
The security alert team was sent to those launch facilities to investigate. The team reported that the object was hovering above the two affected sites. When they approached the object the team's communication gear malfunctioned and they lost radio contact.
After speaking to the wing command post Lt. Mywald informed Salas that a similar incident had occurred a week earlier at Echo flight.
The first audio from Colonel Walter Figel who was the deputy missile crew commander at Echo Flight describes an incident in which a UFO is hovering above the facility before the nuclear missiles were disabled.
In the second audio Mywald and Salas are talking about the security team that went to investigate the silos that had a security breach indicator. The two men returned terrified by their encounter and had to be relieved of duty never to return to guard assignments
A more detailed investigation of these two incidents revealed that the missiles all had logic coupler failures which triggered the guidance and control error indication.Robert Kaminsky who led the investigation at Echo flight stated that the event was virtually impossible.

YES! Now this is some grade A+ /r/conspiracy right here! Thanks OP!
Now, this happened 1967. 50 years ago. This creates a lot of questions.
No. 1: Have all nukes been deactivated by ETs and the threat of nuclear war is a farce?
No. 2: If all nukes have not been deactivated, then after this event I would assume measures have been taken to prevent this from happening, what would those measures be?
No. 3: Who, exactly, were the ETs disabling the nukes?
No. 4: Why was this necessary? What would be the purpose of disabling the nukes (other than the obvious of preventing nuclear war.....why would ETs care about human annihilation?)
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
Some food for thought without actually attempting to directly answer your questions. Have you considered the possibility that Earth is integral to, and part of, a larger system? That because of this association we are required, by outside intelligence, to maintain our planet? That this is not for our benefit, but for the outsiders benefit? That we, earthlings, must not be allowed to destroy our planet? I think these were some of the concerns being addressed by the OP.
1 Mike_McDermott 2017-08-29
why were we allowed to even test them then and start polluting the atmosphere with radiation?
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
Establishing a miserable environment for the humans to exist in is our problem. Hurting the Planet itself is their problem.
1 Mike_McDermott 2017-08-29
And if our governments know about this, and probably do, and continue to do harmful things what does that make them? Evil.
1 emuiral 2017-08-29
Either makes them evil or there is some ulterior motive that isn't understood yet. Are they playing the part of snape; hated until the last moment when you realise that they helped you this far?
I don't believe it and it'd take quite a bit for that to change but what i used to believe has so often been proved wrong so i'll hold the concept in my head.
1 ProbablyNotArcturian 2017-08-29
The leaders of the elite of earth - are basically the Kim Jong North Korea to the Universe
1 carauctiongurus 2017-08-29
I think that our government/elite continue these harmful things because it makes the "others" appear so that they can further study them or shoot them down. Like one of the comments said, Earth is connected to a much larger system, so there is some kind of "Land Management System" and monitoring going on. IMHO of course :)
1 Wandering_Idiot 2017-08-29
scratches head thinking aren't humans part of the environment?
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
I meant the planet itself, proper - not its inhabitants.
1 TheGoodTheBadTheRekt 2017-08-29
Nukes might also fuck up alternate dimensions, so that might piss off some other dimensional beings pretty badly, not to mention destroying the planet itself.
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
Yes, there is that also.
1 traillboy 2017-08-29
I've heard this is precisely why they came back to our planet. In the early 50's there is a fun/interesting theory that Eisenhower met with them several times to broker a treaty. Purportedly they waned us to stop all nuclear testing and eventually dismantle our nuclear weapon capability.

You know how when the kids are in the other room and you suddenly hear a crash?
1 GeoSol 2017-08-29
This is the general outline for a fun story my would read to us sometimes as a kid.
The heroes were the pleiaidans, and they were trying to help us, while knowing they were using the earth as a prison. Basically the last of the evil races of this universe were chased to our solar system, and eventually kept to the earth.
So the idea here is there's many alien races, one is evil and been manipulating for eons(this is where I think we get the story of Adam and eve, and the garden- we left because we were slaves...)
If looking for an interesting read check it out...

We are probably the evil race of the universe.
1 emuiral 2017-08-29
I keep wondering about that, If there was an evil race that was left on this planet and humanity also sprang up here, how do we know which we are descended from today.
Makes me think about Douglas Adams and the golgafrinchans. Am i a descendant of the primate who was intended to be a component in this huge system or am i descendant of a pedantic telephone sanitizer (metaphorically).
1 GeoSol 2017-08-29
Well since we don't know how to point out the aliens that are rumored to be here, yes.
1 devast8ndiscodave_ 2017-08-29
I've said this before. Don't blame the rest of us for the actions of governments and corporations. I don't partake in their shit. I like to live peacefully. It's them who are causing this destruction.
1 DevilsAdvertiser 2017-08-29
Yeah. I am just projecting my own failures and mistakes.
1 traillboy 2017-08-29
It is still ultimately our fault. We choose to abide. We can always stop it, or at least each do our part individually not to participate. Yes, that would require enormous sacrifice but it is very possible.
1 devast8ndiscodave_ 2017-08-29
The masses are brainwashed by the media and no amount of trying to tell them otherwise will work. It has to be a journey of self discovery, which takes a long time. Thankfully more and more people are starting to see the shit for what it is.
1 carauctiongurus 2017-08-29
Great comment. I have thought about this too and sometimes believe this whole universe was created to keep us trapped here.

Cool answer. Gaia/Gaea theory?
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
That wasn't literally my intent, but, yeah, that works. I was thinking along those lines.
1 Hello_Miguel_Sanchez 2017-08-29
What is that?
1 TheGoodTheBadTheRekt 2017-08-29
That our planet (and other celestial bodies) is a conscious being, Earth being named Gaia, and it is suffering greatly due to our wars and massive pollution/disregard for the planet. The ETs/breakaway societies/black technology might be here to keep us from severely damaging the planet, though ultimately the responsibility is ours alone to put a stop to it. We have the technology developed ourselves, it's just being suppressed to continue the massively profitable status quo (oil/war/scarcity economy).
1 ftxx 2017-08-29
A theory has to be based on reason, the earth being a conscious being has absolutely no proof or merit behind it, it's simple new age nonsense
1 TheGoodTheBadTheRekt 2017-08-29
I don't disagree with that sentiment at all, it's just one of a number of reasons why ETs might want to come here, if they are here at all. More than likely the advanced craft sighted are classified secret technology, seemingly ET encounters could just be live test runs of advanced unacknowledged technology. We do definitely need to really start treating the planet better either way visitors or not, if not for the planet's sake then for our grandchildren.
1 ftxx 2017-08-29
I agree, but it's not really "one of a number of reasons why", because it's blatantly untrue.
I could claim ETs visit to feed on the rainbows I shit out, which obviously isn't true, is that also a reason they could visit? No.
1 TheGoodTheBadTheRekt 2017-08-29
Well that depends, do you shit out rainbows? ETs visiting Earth is already an incredibly outlandish and unlikely thing in terms of accepted knowledge, it's really a realm of speculation more than concrete science. I don't think that it's fair to dismiss something because it is seemingly ridiculous at first glance, we're already talking about ETs or hidden tech that flies in the face of modern science with things like faster than light travel, zero point energy, and antigravity. We can entertain ideas without believing in them, even if they are seemingly impossible.
1 ftxx 2017-08-29
The difference is we already (mostly) know what the earth is, and we don't know what the supposed ETIs and UFOs are, so you can entertain ideas about concepts that are completely foreign. We know the earth is a ball of rock, iron and nickel. That's not going to change.
1 WestCoastHippy 2017-08-29
All the universe is energy, frequency, vibration. The planet Earth is all three of those things, just as you and I are. The Earth lacks a mind, in our way of thinking, but the Earth has an energy, a frequency, and a vibration, and is tied to the overall consciousness.
Is it a being, like a human? No. Is it conscious, like a human? Yes.
Consciousness and awareness of the senses are two separate things. We are very aware of our senses, usually not very aware of our consciousness. Based on your language, I'd bet you are unaware of your consciousness.
This is gonna sound "new age nonsense," but gaining awareness of your consciousness is powerful stuff, and not all that hard.
1 ftxx 2017-08-29
I'm open minded, but only to things that have any proof and reason behind them. The earth is a lump of rock. If I were to put nickel and iron inside a rock and give it a a magnetic field, would it I become conscious? No, obviously not.
Moleculess a number of things, that doesn't mean anything.
Do you have any proof behind your claims? What do you mean, in your own words by "frequency"?
And what "energy"? Kinetic energy?
There is absolutely no proof at all of what you're saying. The earth is literally a ball of rock and nickel. Consciousness needs complex chemical and electrical reactions - does the earth have those? No, as of our current knowledge, it doesn't. Is the moon also a being? No, it too is a lump of rock.
I'd like to believe it's conscious, that would be cool, but there's absolutely no proof at all.
1 WestCoastHippy 2017-08-29

1 420Shagrat 2017-08-29
Why does it have to be aliens though? Couldn't UFOs simply be advanced human technology that is hidden from the general public for obvious reasons? It'd certainly be a major advantage in wars given that the enemy wouldn't be expecting it.
That said, this could be the US government itself testing if they could deactivate nukes.
1 Art3sian 2017-08-29
Inter-dimensional?
We theoretically live in an 10 or 11 dimensional existence but can only experience three dimensions + time. Any being able to navigate the fourth and beyond dimensions could theoretically pop into, and out of, our three dimensional cube at will.
Inter-dimensional beings could very well be living here on earth with us and nuclear war may effect them just as it effects us.
Image being a entity confined to a 2D existence. You'd still live on earth, you'd still be affected by nuclear fallout, and you'd experience 3D beings popping into, and out of your existence as they moved along the Y-axis (to put it in layman terms).
1 Entropick 2017-08-29
"Archons".
1 OldSpaceChaos 2017-08-29
I like this idea. Maybe they aren't alien at all and live within the earth or the sea or something.
1 Ieuan1996 2017-08-29
A lot of ufo sightings (I wanna say most) have been spotted in/over water. Given that we've only explored 10% of the ocean floor - at a liberal estimate - we can safely say we don't know much about our own oceans. It's been speculated that there are alien bases on the ocean floor. They could be native to earth, some of them. Who knows!
1 NotsoElite4 2017-08-29
I don't know about that, there are far too many planets to care about a single planet.
1 nighthawk1961 2017-08-29
The point is that the whole must be preserved. The whole being the Universe. Yes, the Earth is but a very small part of this whole, but it is a part just the same.
1 traillboy 2017-08-29
"Universe" literally translates to "one song". I firmly believe that there is some inter dependence whether the universe as a whole or through multiple dimensions. Hell, we can only perceive less than 1% of all matter!! We as a species are like a 300 pound roided out two year old. We have phenomenal strength but are extremely ignorant. Alternatively, it could be as simple as planets as luxurious as ours are difficult to come by.
1 TheGoodTheBadTheRekt 2017-08-29
There's conspiracy theories floating around that detonating nuclear weapons fucks up alternate dimensions, and and if we are to believe that our planet and other celestial bodies are actually conscious beings, the ETs/breakaway societies are probably here to prevent us from destroying our own planet and other dimensions as you suggested, they may not really care all that much about us as a species, though some probably would like to see us put aside our differences and stop the unnecessary systemic conflict and suffering, and stop carelessly destroying our planet.
1 onetimerone 2017-08-29
Well if your hypothesis is true we certainly have been given wide latitude in what constitutes "destroying our planet".
1 themadhat1 2017-08-29
its a message to us all,it has happened in Russia and china as well.they will let us kill each other but we will not be allowed to kill the planet. a russian doc i saw on yt interviewd some retired military there, and they said every time they moved the missile around they were monitored bye et craft. and several nuke test missiles were disabled in flight.here and in russia as well. there may be nuclear incidents in the future but no way are they gonna see them fly,en-mass.
1 Ls2323 2017-08-29
Could have been time-travelers from the future.
They shut down all of those missiles only because maybe their info was that they knew one or some of these missiles would go off and trigger global thermonuclear war. So they just disabled the whole group of missiles for a while only in order to prevent that event.
1 SalesyMcSellerson 2017-08-29
More than likely time travelers from the past.
1 Ls2323 2017-08-29
Also possible, although less possible imo. The 'future' is open-ended, it can be tomorrow or 1 gazillion years from now. Whereas the past is 4.5 billion years since the planet formed (could go further back if we talk about ETs from the past).
So we have a fixed past and an open-ended unlimited future. Since nothing 'substantial' in our past history points to evidence of time-travelers or advanced tech the odds are in favour of them being from the future.
But anything's possible.
1 SalesyMcSellerson 2017-08-29
I feel that it's more probable, actually. We don't know the extent of how likely other beings existing in the universe are, or even less about the probability of traveling backwards in time. Time travel from the future is basically impossible at this point, and we have no idea as to how life came to be. But we do know that you can travel to the future. And we do know that lost civilizations of humans lived as recently as 100k years ago. So it could be likely that a race of beings or human cousins evolved to a point that they got off this planet so that they could check on it's habitable status in the future, periodically checking in on and guding the current race of humans so that the two can converge.
1 Ls2323 2017-08-29
You're certainly right that timetravel to the future is much more likely than to the past since it is theoretically possible to go to future and not to past (well with our current undestanding).
1 curtkobane 2017-08-29
Grade A conspiracy? There's no sources all we have to go off of is OP saying "trust me guys". There's a lot of unbelievable points in this such as unprofessional work by the military.. really a military advisor completely ignored reports of a UFO above his base? How does OP even know this happened?
1 Haterade_1010 2017-08-29
There's actually a lot of evidence that UFOs have stopped nuke tests. To the point that I don't even think it is a conspiracy theory anymore. Here's a crazy conspiracy site-CBS: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ex-air-force-personnel-ufos-deactivated-nukes/
1 ohlawdwat 2017-08-29

1 seeking101 2017-08-29
its not like once they're deactivated they can't be reactivated
besides reactivating them and building new ones we would only have to find a way to automate reactivation on the fly
can be from anywhere, but....
if the aliens are based on the planet it would be ij thier best interest to protect the planet to protect themselves

1 emuiral 2017-08-29
Those LHC's do something that's certain. I don't agree with particle physics anymore but the existance of the accelerators doesn't guarantee the validity of the concept.
Within the geocentric model of the solar system we didn't understand retrograde motion. It seemed wierd to us that a planet would go back and forth in it's circular/elliptical orbit around us. We decided these were epicycles where, for no reason, the planet would do a little circle whilst going round the main circle of it's orbit. Astronomers at the time got it wrong even though the telescopes were looking at the same night sky that could tell them the same truth.
When we think of it now that seems ridiculous because we understand we have a heliocentric solar system. The model you generate will depend on the scale of view you have and how you cut the object.
Maybe what we see as particles - electrons, protons and sub atomic particles are actually obvious boundaries that we notice when we observe a universe that is based more upon vibration and frequencies than particles.
Using particles to explain some things works well because it fits the observations, but maybe sometimes we stick to the particle idea so much that we force these 'epicycles' into our theories instead of remembering that what we see as a particle is really just a bunch of sychronised vibrations and doesn't need to always act like a particle just because we want to think it is.

Often there is truth in many things, including Propaganda. For example- propagandist material, viewed through a critical eye, betrays itself as propaganda and its creators as peddlers. 1 austinpowersfajaa 2017-08-29
Read a very interesting theory that the government started the alien rumors themselves, then they deny it until they are blue in the face. This makes it look like they're hiding something when really they are making themselves seem more powerful than they are.
1 L00kInside 2017-08-29
Speaking of documentaries, and along the same lines of the government taking part in disinformation- check out the doc Mirage Men. It's all about what the govt did during when the ufo phenomenon started cranking up: misinform, make ufo believers seem like crazy people, plant their own operatives in investigative ufo cells to steer in the wrong direction, they did it all.
And it's not some shitty YouTube video, production value was pretty good. Think it was on Netflix as well at one point.
This will make my tinfoil show a little but you can extrapolate these disinformation practices beyond UFOs into any issue that needs covered up and see them employed even today- even here on reddit

CGI is a motherfucker. Or they would claim its a drone. At least we wont get the swamp gas explanation again.
1 don_hector 2017-08-29
The point is that there would be dozens, hundreds, thousands of videos depicting the same event. A single video can easily be faked, but faking hundreds (and making it undetectable) would be damn near impossible,
1 66reality 2017-08-29
Well not necessarily. Unless it happened over a large crowd of people close to ground level, which would probably be unlikely to happen if UFOs are intelligent they would be elusive.
1 elj0h0 2017-08-29
We should have plenty already. In fact, I am curious how there isn't tons of cellphone footage from the Paris bombing (which happened during a concert) and other public events

1 AfrikaCorps 2017-08-29
Makes sense, because let's be honest, if we look at events that almost led to nuclear war, they all seem like miracles, how many other we don't even know of? How many other had both sides sabotaged by extradimensional beings who either look out of us with love and don't want their slaves destroyed just yet?
1 Tranchera 2017-08-29
Someone saying "no, let's not launch the nukes" is a miracle?
It's only a miracle because it got that close in the first place. Common sense prevented a million other nuclear scenarios.
1 AfrikaCorps 2017-08-29
Not really, read about those scenarios, 1 person was solely responsible when most where like "Protocol is protocol let's nuke 'em all".
1 BlainetheHisoka 2017-08-29
So this is a bit of conjecture and based upon what someone who worked on munitions for the government let slip but that does sound like a kinetic shielding they were working on for Nasa. I do not have any more info like that but I'm certain info will be released about it in a decade unless we are forced to use it before then of course.
Again this is just based off of someone I trust telling me about a different project that mainly focuses on using energy shielding for space crafts so space debris won't rip through them like paper.
1 SalesyMcSellerson 2017-08-29
Sounds like the plasma defense that they were working on in Israel. Basically, a hot blast heats up the surrounding air / materials to get so hot that it turns into plasma. That plus the outward force would immediately disable any rpg / explosive coming it's way.
This, on the other hand, sounds like some sort of electro magnetic disruption, or something similar to that. Like instead of a microwave that vibrates electrons randomly, it would target specific molecules and restructure them in a way that made a device inoperable.
1 heej 2017-08-29
Makes me think of the last two X-Men movies and the soft disclosure in them. In X-Men: Apocalypse the titular character Apocalypse (representing superior alien life) disarms all the nukes humanity possesses by launching them into space where they float harmlessly. In Logan we find that a mutant haven in an in-world comic book series contains the actual coordinates to a mutant haven in real life in the movie, thus signifying that print media disguised as fiction actually discloses truth.

1 napswithdogs 2017-08-29
I think it was Salas who I heard speak in Roswell at the UFO Festival one year. Either him or someone with a similar background and evidence. That same year one of the higher ups at MUFON talked at great length about UFO sightings associated with weaponry-particularly chemical and nuclear weapons. The crash as Roswell makes sense due to all of the nuclear activity happening in NM at the time. Fascinating stuff.
1 ftxx 2017-08-29
The crash at Roswell was not a UFO, it was a spy balloon. I think they deliberately "accidentally" had it reported as a UFO and then went back on it to throw people off - after all, an alien craft is a lot more sensational than a balloon.
They couldn't let the truth get out to damage relations with the Soviets further. Roswell has been basically debunked by now.
Project Mogul, it's called.
1 MilkyWitness 2017-08-29
Okay so I hear all these people say how UFO's stop nukes. Why didn't they stop the nukes from being tested THOUSANDS of times by many different countries in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s? Why not stop them in Japan?
1 Haterade_1010 2017-08-29
Them being tested is what caused aliens to contact us in the first place. It's no coincidence that all the saucer sightings happened after first nuke tests. Nukes put humans on the map as a threat. The nukes back then, while devastating, were not world changers. The nukes today are cray cray compared to then.
1 MilkyWitness 2017-08-29
That could make sense, and right we could make nukes that would destroy the world 100 times around :(
1 Themourse 2017-08-29
I dont think we have bombs big enough to "nuke the world" in 1 shot. instead we have thousands of massive bombs that could do the job. Russia's "tsar bomba" was the biggest nuke ever produced and while it could easily take out a quarter of a small country, it couldn't destroy the world.
1 traillboy 2017-08-29
But at the peak there were something like 75,000 nuclear warheads. Enough to destroy the entire planet something like 2,500 times over. All pulled from memory, too lazy to google for actual numbers.

Sounds very much like Childhoods End by Arthur C Clarke. I find the correlation interesting because Clarke likely was just smart enough to get it right, or else he was inspired to write it?

I call BS. Why didn't the UFOs stop the Nagasaki, Hiroshima bombs and thousands of tests afterwards?

Based on everything I've ever read nuclear weapon proliferation was one of the primary reasons they are more active here. There is also the universal need for free will. It's like raising children, sometimes you have to let them make their own mistakes. Finally, what was dropped in Japan, while devastating is nothing compared to the nukes we have had since the 60's. The testing was supposedly allowed under a treaty that was agreed to by humans and aliens.

Can we start getting some legit sources for this bullshit? Youtube videos and "Books" are not legit.
1 traillboy 2017-08-29
That's the point of it being a conspiracy. You're not going to find anything "legit" as the flow of information is completely controlled. This information could very easily be disinformation as well. That's the entire problem...we really don't know the truth about much of anything IMO.

the way i heard it the ufos hovered over the missile silos and demonstrated that they could have launched the missiles if they had wanted to

There is this girl I follow on social media who is actually a really successful fashion designer and she says that she can astral travel and things like that. She def has some sort of higher consciousness going on, but she tweeted that aliens are disarming nukes and I was like ok well that's a bit far fetched, but now I think she is on to something.

so what was it we dropped on Japan? What about nuclear reactors?

I totally get it. But some events, like the SoCal event a couple years ago get recorded by a lot of people, same goes for the phoenix lights. Just wish we could get close video.

Are you a flat Earther?

On an iPhone it takes 2 seconds and I can do it blind. Hold home button for 1 second, hit top right of screen, hit bottom center of screen and you're recording.

Someone saying "no, let's not launch the nukes" is a miracle?
It's only a miracle because it got that close in the first place. Common sense prevented a million other nuclear scenarios.
