Shkreli's "drive" (which he's holding up while flashing the horns) is not a drive at all.
It's a digikey stick which has 32MB flash memory (which even if designed to store static data like emails, would not fit "10M" emails, much less the actual 33k "deleted emails" ... btw... 33k... -_-;)

Didn't you know? It's a simple Java method. removeStringFromEntireInternet(String s).

This is kind of a new angle...
providing the password first, threatening to release the files...
So, if we assume this guy is not mentally unstable, this means the files are already out there.
Anyone holding on to any insurance file of unknown source and tried the PW?

the average e-mail is 15 KB 15 kb x 10,000,000 = 150,000,000kb or 150GB
compress that and you can fit it onto a 128gb usb stick, or 4 32gb sticks. It's certainly not beyond fiction..
1 soundofjw 2017-08-31
right - the device holds 32 megabytes. that's 3% of a gigabyte or .02% of the proposed 150gb. :)

you dont actually know what that is mate, it could be disguised storage quit being a know it all
1 kousi 2017-08-31
Yeah! Be a know-nothing like this guy dammit!
1 soundofjw 2017-08-31
Haha except I know what it is. It's a digikey tool - I shared links to the device which clearly shows what it is in other comments ... guy.

Almost like he's just some sort of attention whore.

Looks like it could be an m.2 stick to me. Although why one would put text data on an SSD is beyond me.
