Weird Animal Behavior Recently
6 2017-09-21 by RomeVatican
Anyone noticed any strange behavior from their pets or animals recently? I noticed birds chirping VERY loudly and making noise in the middle of the night recently (never really experienced this before)

You also live where there have been some pretty bad storms and hurricanes in the area for awhile now. Think critically for a second before jumping to conclusions.

Was hoping to not hear that, and was trying to gloss it over. If you find any other strange behavior, I'd like to hear about it.
Yes, I know of other animal strangeness.

Duh, hurricane approaching.

no it isn't
also, why would they be making noise? won't they just like...fly away?
1 dontsnap 2017-09-21
No, they might have chicks who can't fly and so they make a lot of noise to tell creatures to fuck off.

like what?

Like you are still going to get a lot of rain maybe.

For now.

Well there has been some pretty fucked up weather around your way. Most likely the two phenomena are related, animals are more aware of that sort of thing.

The most important time to feed them (just sayin)

Not noticed anything weird about my dog, but I've noticed this year that there's a HUGE amount of slugs...much more than normal. I've also noticed that some of the trees in my garden have died before going through autumn colours, they're just dead. My chestnut tree grew twice this year, and now it's just dead. My apple tree that usually flourishes every year, barely did anything this year. Now, this could be because of our lack of sun this year, had about 2 weeks of summer and it's rained the rest of the time. I think this could be because of chemtrails/cloud seeding blocking out the sun. Lots of rain = lots of moisture = lots of slugs. Not enough sun, too much rain = dead plants = slugs in my bloody kitchen trying to eat my dogs food... I'm no scientist but I'm in touch with nature, and this year has been a weird one.

a female using the internet is rare.

It's been noticeable for two years here in Boston, Massachusetts. I've written down some really odd and scary changes re: animals. Hopefully your post will be here and get noticed. It's 3:30 AM, and to bed, but when I get up I hope to be able to list these things in a comment because it's hugely important I think. Now I'm too tired.

Big time conspiracies involving animals

Yes

Nope.
Stray cats shitting and licking their balls in front of my car porch just like any other day. Dogs borking every time the evening maghrib starts playing from the nearest mosque. Nothing unusual.
SEA country btw

Yeah, my German shepherd asked me for a raise the other day. He wants an extra biscuit with his dinner to watch the house while I'm out.

Spoiler alert: Dick Cheney is controlling them with scalar beams from below the Denver Airport.

here in New Orleans there was an article this week about squirrels attacking people.

It's too bad there isn't more interest in and response to this post. In spite of that, here are some odd things going on in Boston relating to fewer than usual animals and insects and changes in their behavior. People ought to know.
Last year from spring until fall:
Their noises are heard every summer, but there were only a few at the beginning of the warm weather each year. I heard one the evening of June 29th and made note of it. Since then none. I've heard them all my life, and here in the city they nest on rooftops and invariably leave their nests at dusk in summertime using noise to catch insects. Where did they go? (nighthawk sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aHlV7syK1Q)
abnormally few crickets singing
only a scattering of junebugs buzzing
too few katydid click noises from the up in trees where they ought to be
These insects started their noises much later in the summer than normal. There are more cricket songs on some nights than others, though still oddly few of them. It seems certain days something either kills or incapacitates numbers of them, and then they're back, but way fewer than there should be. Some nights only one or two crickets are making noise.
none of the usual scent of skunk outside where they've come to drink from the fountain below my apartment in warm weather
no smell of skunk sprayed on some cat or dog or raccoon during an encounter
I saw only one squirrel last spring and only a few last year. They should be jumping around the tree branches outside my window, but there are none, and I saw no dead squirrels run over by cars during mating season which is a predicable occurance every spring.
awful silence last fall instead of starlings' yearly pre-roosting sounds
Many should have gathered in the nearby pine trees as they always have during fall, but they didn't. None at all. (starling sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4pHGgV2Fqo)
Bluejays have been outside just recently, and the sounds they make are nothing like I've ever heard. They sound scary and abnormal, and as if they're in distress.
no gangs of sparrows on the trees outside my windows this spring and summer-only a handful some mornings and other days none at all
Not one mosquito got into my apartment all this summer.
No green leafhopper, and very few of those tiny gnats(?) got in at night attracted by the artificial lights. I expected there'd be many as in past summers.
