They wanted to make a game set in a world where pretty much all conspiracy theories were real. But when you think about how much has turned out right, it makes you wonder whether our worlds are that different.
Deus Ex games have been throwing the illuminati agenda right in our faces for a very long time. I've played the old game and the new ones. They all have theme of trans-humanism, virus to kill millions etc.
Look at any woke comedian or political satirist or activist from any time in the pst 50 or 60 years. They were all saying the same shit we are now. Nothing changes. It's not prediction it's just mad wokeness
Yep. Perry Fellwock talked about it in the 70s, the former director of the CIA James Woolsey confirmed it in 2000, here's a Guardian article from 2001 talking about it, the European Parliament started an investigation in 2000, etc
The Truth: Listen to Jethro. Now, what if I told you, we never went to the moon, JFK lives in Scotland with Janis Joplin, and the only reason we've been in a cold war for the last 45 years was because snake-headed aliens run the oil business?

Deus Ex is another example of a prophetic videogame. I recommend it to anyone who's interested in conspiracies at all.

Examples of what is prophetic in that game?

Governments getting more and more power.
Mass surveillance, the state knowing everything we do.
False flags; the destruction of a major landmark blamed on another group (Statue of Liberty and the NSF; 9/11 and Al-Qaeda).
UN power abuses.
Terrorism being used to justify the removal of more and more rights.
A good example, that happens right at the first stage: link

Holy shit, you're right. Either the game creators are conspiracy theorists, or they're taunting us and telling us about reality, via games and movies.

It's like everyone is in on it, at every level, except for us.

So not really events, as in the title, just a description of the trajectory of state power.

You forgot the Twin Towers were removed from the NY skyline in the games skybox.

That was mainly due to engine limitations though. They just used terrorism as an excuse since it had been targeted by a terrorist attack before.

Jesus I wish the in would abuse their power.

That's a cool video. I've never gone down the rabbit hole of video games yet, as I don't really play any, but I'm going to check a bunch out now.

Deus Ex were dropping some real truth bombs back in the day and all those topics are still active in real life at the moment.
Game was relased in 2000

Wasn't FEMA good in that game?
1 justaponyfan 2017-09-23
FEMA were some of the nastiest guys there. Direct minions of MJ-12.

With the GMDX mod. Don't forget it, it trully modernizes a lot of archaic aspects graphically and gameplay wise.

James Bamford began writing on their surveillance activities in the early 80s

Satirical quote from a 2004 video game
1 tastytaster 2017-09-23
It was conversation fodder in 2000, when Popular Mechanics published a four-page article about it.

That’s not at the section you linked to. Listens for 10 minutes and nothing.

You do realize that GTA's radio stations are meant to be satirical and make fun of the people in them?
Deus Ex would have been a much better example than a game making fun of you.
