Sitting here and thought I heard Rapture trumpets, should I be concerned?

Sitting here on the porch with my dog and I heard what sounded like a trumpet followed by satanic stench that could only have come from hell. My dog is very aware of spirit energy and he also gave me a wierd look like demons were released or something. I was wondering if this was a part of prophecy or something? Is the end really here?

Man, I've had my dog give me the look like "Hey! You need to get the fuck out of here." And I left immediately.

Good thing I did too...

Dude, my dog looked at me once and immediately knew that Satan was near me.

Then she peed on my rug 10 minutes later because I didn't let her out.

I can't read dogs.

People unfortunately have never actually read the Book of Revelations.

It lays out the timeline, and says no one will know the day or hour.

Well considering it's a text describing the past, I'm not sure if you've read it either

"Roman Catholic Bible Interpetor"

RIP credibility

The book perfectly aligns with past events. It could align with future ones, but almost every "prophecy" requires a lot of stretching and twisting to fit future events. It never really requires stretching and twisting to fit the events that happened already.

One world government prophecies could not have fit with the past in any capacity.

Show me a one world government prophecy in Revelation.

You've given me a horribly biased website that I'm very familiar with. They push pretrib rapture ideas and it's extremely unbiblical. They even screw up right in the first paragraph when they say "the beast, also known as the Antichrist."

There's never a passage that says this beast is an antichrist. There's no mention of a capital A in antichrist, because there are many, not just one single man who's the ruler of the world.

All of what was said in the book, combined with the time period it was written, along with the obvious influences of the other apocalyptic genre, it is absurdly obvious it was a message to Christians at the time of persecution.

Well, he also kind of contradicts himself a lot. Saying Revelation is easy to understand is a bit of a stretch, then a few paragraphs later he claims it takes a certain Christian or mindset to understand it's symbolism?

Follow that up with his last paragraph explaining how it's a prophecy of the last 7 years of the world, yet 3 paragraphs up he mentions the 1000 year reign. So...?

My issue with assuming Revelation is futuristic is the huge uncertainty. When you mention a leader and a persecuter, I can easily fit that to Nero, especially with his name translating to 666. When you say this is futuristic, it's just a giant toss up as to who it is and what it'll be like.

When you talk about the history of the beast, Nero killed his parents, siblings, and family. He also was a rapist, killed by the sword, and completely denied and sought out followers of religion to kill them.

It's painfully obvious John was hiding Neros name with 666, or else he'd be persecuted.

How would anyone explain how Revelation is a letter to the 7 churches, or how Rev12 perfectly fits Christ's birth (and how nothing happened today), to modern times?

Nero was not the anti-Christ

You need an actual source. "Alwaysbeready" is probably leaning in a specific direction, especially if the author has a book (that he's making money on, by fear mongering, who would've guessed?) about the prophecies of Revelation.

I can just as easily find a website that's preterism based and completely refutes futurism.

For fucks sake, he even says "Nero is not the antichrist" which is 100% correct, because there's no "THE" antichrist, there's a lot of them.

We are never going to agree.

I would 100% conform to believing it's a futuristic book if I had evidence. I'm not even a Christian, so I couldn't really care any less.

Well i'm sorry, but that's just full of shit lol

The Roman Empire is 0% still up and around. Seems like an author who knows how to sell a book. Like every.other.one.

But what about the week? Or the month or year? The Bible also says believers and watchmen will not be in the dark when it comes to knowing of the day or hour.

The bible has signs so people can be aware...but there is no way to exactly pinpoint the date.

I agree. Just remember that we have to go through the great Tribulation before we get to the Day of the Lord and ultimately the return of the Son of Man, that of which we don't know that day or the hour.

Maybe today marks the start of something, that's my theory anyways.

I agree!

Yes, run towards the light.

Just gassy.

Holy shit I really need to get of this sub...

Depends, if the OPs dog is named Diablo then plausibly some biblical prophecy was fullfilled today according to biblical expert Niel Gaiman
