I can't tell if you're being serious. You were taught in grade school that it was Columbus who proved the earth was round? I find that hard to believe.
Also, Columbus lived/sailed in the late 1400's, not the 1300's.
Yes, it's true, because he was the first to sail the Atlantic and discover America. The way he had to navigate the ocean by the stars and didn't sail off the end of the earth proved that it was round.
I was just picking an earlier century; wasn't going to wikipedia for that quip.
Or, do a 2 second Google search yourself dude. Not saying the earth is flat, just that colombus could have easily done what he did on a flat map too. It's a north-south circumnavigation that would instantly disprove the flat earth.
I remember reading that he had health problems. I think the same thing is happening here that happened with Mandela. You heard stories about famous old people on the news and assumed it was because they were dead. Faulty memory is the human condition.
I don't remember him dying, but I would have celebrated one less criminal fraud walking free. Pretty sure he didn't die, but very sure he faked every "moon landing" he went on.
To the moon and back with 60s tech less advanced than the original gameboy... Then lost all of it and didn't write any of it down... Sure.

We need to throw these people in dungeons, like the the "round earthers" of the 1300s.

Or we could just go to the edge of the planet and throw them off into space....

Yep, they'd be turtle food.

Wait, I learned in 1st grade that Columbus was the first to prove that the earth is round. Anyone before that was tortured for believing it.
[I know this as an absurd statement, but it's what we were all taught, so I picked the 1300s AD.

You can circumnavigate a flat Earth too like how a needle goes around a record that's what Columbus did.

Show me any flat earth map – or any other map – that requires a circle to go from Spain to the Americas.

He was just on the hospital with heart complications. He didn’t die.

If you really "remember" a bunch of shit that never happened, you should see a doctor. Like tonight.

No i remember reading a couple articles in one night and taking a moment for him. That's the only reason i remembered that it even happened.

He was in hospital here in NZ for a while, it was pretty big news at the time because, well, New Zealand. But no, he didn't die.
