Police Commissioner during Boston Marathon Bombing was in Vegas at the time of the shooting for "crisis management" meetings with hotel heads.

Just add this to the pile of extremely uncomfortable coincidences that seem to surround horrific incidents.
From the article - "Ed Davis, former superintendent of the Lowell Police Department, was also in Las Vegas during the time of the shooting. He landed Sunday ahead of planned meetings to discuss crisis management with heads of the hotels. Davis knows a lot about the topic, as he won accolades for his response to the April 2013 Boston Marathon bombing when he was Boston's police commissioner. Davis is staying at the Palazzo hotel, several miles north of Mandalay Bay. He followed along with scanner reports as the response to the shooting unfolded".
The other guy in article was on the 25th floor of Mandalay Bay below Paddocks room.

"Authorities identified Stephen Craig Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nev., as the alleged shooter."
+100 for proper journalism. Also interesting OP.
