Sheriff just now on "the note": "I can't recall", then immediately: "it was not a suicide note".

1383  2017-10-05 by aSeriesOfAccidents

Don't know the guys name but was just watching the live broadcast. Those are both real quotes, thought I'd share that.

(This is in regards to the shooting in Vegas)

EDIT 1: I've honestly been on the side of "this isn't any kind of conspiracy" over this event. But hearing him say that made me gasp. It does seem sketchy that he would claim to not know/remember about it, but after being asked if it was a suicide note he's able to confirm that it's not one.

Thoughts?

EDIT 2: His name is Sheriff Joe Lombardo, thank you /u/ceemrice!

EDIT 3: I was seriously considering not posting this, but now I'm glad I did. Thanks for the support everyone, good to know I'm not the only one who found it suspicious.

Also, if anyone has a video clip of the 10 or so seconds where he says this stuff, it would be amazing if you could link us to it, I'd gladly put it in the OP.

EDIT 4: I noticed the post was 99% upvoted and decided to document this over time and see how it's changing. I suppose all of these images could be doctored/faked but maybe at least those who trust me will find any change in dynamic interesting.

Sheriff Lombardo

If not a suicide note then...a manifesto? They only open more questions by saying this kind of shit.

Or it's a fucking piece of paper. There are thousands of explanations for a piece of fucking paper to be sitting on a table in a hotel room.

Perhaps, but this one is placed intentionally, with a pen nearby and under an ash tray. It was left to be read imo.

I thought it was tape not an ashtray.

Which he used on the windows I heard hypothesized.

That is how I recall the picture I saw yesterday, I could be wrong though.

It's definitely green tape

http://i.imgs.fyi/img/1it6.png

Awesome, thanks for the pic and correction! I think we can both agree though- it was seemingly left to be read.

100%

Chances are it's one of the most important pieces of evidence on scene. He left the tape on it so it didn't blow away.

Whatever it is, it's widely talked about and the Sheriff should have expected the question, raising the question why ask "what note?"

If you know it's not a suicide note ;)

Because this is information us Plebs clearly aren't mean to have :)

Or as has been pointed out as well crime scene techs use that type of tape routinely to mark off evidence and things like that

That green painter's tape would be useless on the windows.

It would keep glass from flying all over him when he struck it

Yeah, we will see what comes of it. For now, everything is 100% speculation. The only "official word" is that it wasn't a suicide note.

Hotels give you paper though it could easily be where they leave it

That isn't a pen.

Looks like an oversize one to me. What do you believe it is?

Some other thread claimed in was a boxcutter. Does seem a bit large for a pen, the width looks over half the tapes width.

the pen is on the right. Boxcutter on left.

The thing on the right is barely big enough to maybe be another bullet casing as they are all over the room. Does not look like a pen to me at all.

Looks like the front of it is white and kind of blends in with the table to me, but you could be right.

Box cutter. It's next to a roll of thick tape.

It's obviously a box cutter and a tape roll.

This. Too much paranoia going on this early.

I agree, he was probably writing down some unrelated shit and put something on it to keep the hotel room AC from blowing it under the mattress.

That literally could be what actually happened.

The dude was in that suite for the entire weekend.

I highly doubt it is just a blank piece of paper. The way it is situated in the center of the table with the tape and other object over makes it look important.

Looks how carefully it is aligned to the edge of the table. Things also placed atop it to keep in place. Probably taped it down too.

A limerick to Marilou

Where is that novelty account when we need it?

Exact words when asked about the note.

"What note? Oh the yellow piece of paper? I dont know."

You fucking serious?

Yeah, he was avoiding the note like the plague. But he clearly knows something. He's playing aloof, just not very well.

Just one question needed to be asked. "Was there a suicide note or manifesto?". They would either say "yes/no/can not release that information".

"can you tell us what was in the note?" "when will that be made public?"

It said "Jet Fuel can't melt steel beams"

And he was fixin' to prove it firing at those tankers.

They actually asked this question in press briefing four or five on Monday evening. The answer then was a definite "No, we have found no suicide note or manifesto."

(from thread above)The reporter prompted him previously saying (I'm paraphraseing) "Was the yellow paper a suicide note?" and he didn't know what the reporter was talking about then was like, oh ya that, yes certainly not. later question asked again he referred to it as the "yellow note". Clearly he knew no significant note/manifesto was recovered but we all have been going nuts about a blurry picture that they have already dismissed as nothing... it was a natural way for an exhausted person to reply to reporters grasping at straws....

...Or it has the secret codes that the Illuminati don't want you to know about and he can't see it cus MIB red flashed his brain /s

Seriously, hotel rooms come with note pads in them... I'm guessing there are like a million more important things he has had to survey at that scene and all the other carnage. He can't remember every detail.

The simplest explanation is the notepad is such nothing that it's not for most on his mind. If your expecting them to release every scrap it may be a while.

and any answer confirms our preconceived conclusions!

Wow!! Unbelievable!! I mean...did they do an investigation at all???

Of course they did! They’re just keeping it to themselves and feeding the public bs

To play devil's advocate, if you were unaware of any note, and someone asked you about a note, wouldn't you say "what note?" and then you'd realize what they meant, clarify what it was, and say you don't know?

I dunno, sounds like what I'd say.

He said "yellow paper", which indicates he was aware of its existence. He would know whether it was or was not a note. unless he was kept in the dark. Which could be likely based on his appearance. But I think that was caused by sleep deprivation and the gravity of the situation.

How dare you not cherry pick the quote by actually using its full context from the entire conversations going on!!

It's good that there are reporters asking these questions though. I know people think that the MSM are 'in on it' but I genuinely think most journalists are not in on anything and just don't do investigative journalism anymore and are trained more to report official statements rather than question or investigate them. So hopefully the fact reporters are asking these questions means some of them are getting it, that their job involves finding out what actually happened on behalf of the public, and not just parroting at the public on the behalf of the authorities.

Oh sure. I mean there is a lot more reporting going on than just the Q&A, at one point the sheriff makes a joke about how it was amazing he knew the one reporters name and he jokes and is like "ya we had lunch and I found out she is from Australia"... That's the perspective I think most conspiracy people lack, everyone in that room is a real person with human limitations and agendas. It is not some Monolythic "Main Stream Media"... Sometimes human-ness seeps into a human drama, it does not mean the curtain is being pulled back and you are seeing some deep truth... It means you need to get out more.

Agreed and it's weird that we're in this place playing telephone through the press more or less. One of the authorities who spoke after the Sheriff and FBI Agent berated the press for asking the same speculative question repeatedly. There are legitimate investigative questions to answer about the worst shooting in American History™ and it's unfortunate social media, aka the hivemind, isn't more valued publicly at this point in the investigation, especially when the entire press-conference kicks off with a public plea to upload photos/video to FBI.

that was a single sheet of paper though, it wasn't a note pad

As others have said, could be a menu, or a listing of TV channels, or a recipt, or any of a million things that are in hotel rooms. There is no real implication at this point that it is important except pure overblown speculation.

If there were no notes at all, he could be certain it was not a note without recalling what exactly was on it.

of course, analyzing a persons words is a fruitless endeavor. if you want to read someone, you're analyzing their body language.

I'm flicking you off while saying I love you

Do people not understand that even if it was a note, they shouldn't fucking release it to the public if it could be detrimental to the case?? We're not as entitled as we think when there is serious shit on the line. If they can't say shit about any note, or any evidence because it could hinder the investigation, then why on Earth would they release it to the public?? D

But reddit demands to see the note!

Not all of reddit. Just a few dangerous retards.

And what reddit wants....4Chan GETS!

AnonInsiderCopsFBIATF would agree with that

Seriously. What if it said "fuck antifa" or "fuck trump"? It would be detrimental to release that to the public so people could politicize a crazy person's views. It could inspire others to do terrible things to get their political views to the public.

But there's a chance it could validate my political ideology!!! Seriously that's what everyone is salivating over, it's insane.

Or you know, hearing the truth.

Would you even believe whatever they said was on the paper?

Maybe, maybe not. That’s not really the point. Saying that ppl only care about vindicating their own political views is just wrong. Some ppl dont give a shit about politics, they still have an interest in knowing what really happened. Especially the families of the victims.

Ok and if they say it was a blank piece of paper from a hotel notepad or some notes that amount to nothing, you would accept it and move on?

Well he's already been told that, and doesn't believe them so, I think that answers your question.

Well I don't believe that he will ever be satisfied because that's the nature of conspiracy theories. Even if they did tell us the truth we would never accept it and keep demanding another answer until it fits whatever predetermined conclusion all the individuals here have made. In this case the government always lies, therefore no matter what they tell us it's a lie. So even if they told the truth it wouldn't matter because if people feel like it's a lie then that's what it is. It's a fun cycle.

Is a partial truth the truth?

You can't handle the truth!!! .....

Or you know, hearing the truth.

The funny thing is, if it turns out that it wasn't a note, wasn't a suicide note, was just a notepad...then you have already been told the truth, you just don't believe it for some reason.

Maybe examine whether what you want is the truth, or some kind of answer to a question that this fucker just isn't gonna give you, because he's dead and he didn't tell us why he did what he did since he expected to survive.

Yes!^

What if It said nothing?

That's the joy of conspiracy, it doesn't matter what it says. Anything is possible when you have disbelief on your side. It could be the passcode to the back door of Area 51 or a penis doodle or the note itself could be a planted distraction. What it the real message was in the roll of tape on top of the paper and it was neatly unraveled and the truth was hidden in the layers of tape then carefully re-rolled. I demand to know the truth and I won't be satisfied until I personally dissect a crime scene by myself after it has been hermetically sealed so no one has access until me and my team of reddit sleuths can find the truth. They should encase it in plastic and seal it tight, maybe using some sort of tape. Oh fuck...the tape was in on it he whole time.

Best post I've read all day

What if they're keeping the contents secret so any organisations claiming responsibility can confirm?

It's standard practice to always hide a piece of information from the press so that genuine leads can be identified.

In an earlier press conference he made of point of stopping the questions and saying something along the lines of "Now, I may say I don't know about something. That doesn't mean I don't know. It means we aren't ready to share it"

I heard that too and was wondering why you'd mentions that at all?

So he doesn't get eviscerated a month from now when we find out he did know.

The proper buffer or response to this is "I'm not at liberty to answer that question at this time, as the investigation is ongoing." Saying "I may say I don't know! But I really do, maybe!" is bizarre.

Stop being logical. Obviously they're all lying and the note went

4 8 15 16 23...

42

If you watch him actually say it, he seems to be saying it honestly. Like he just wasn’t briefed too much on the yellow paper (since it was insignificant maybe) and he’s just remembering it. He even very confidently and seemingly honestly says it’s not a suicide not

If youve listened to all the interviews youd know hes already addressed this. He said just because he says he doesnt know doesnt mean he doesnt know. Hes just saying he cant tell you at the moment since its an ongoing investigation.

He said "yellow"? It's a pink note, though...

http://i.imgs.fyi/img/1it6.png

He also says that he only had a cursory look at the room. The note would have been the first thing I looked at.

It's possible it wasn't a note, so he's just confused as to why people are asking about a note on the table. May have just been a blank piece of paper.

wHAT NOoootte?? I DIDDD FPFFT NNOTE??? nooo... ohhhh the note that note... yeah i dunno about that.

He also said “suspects” earlier. There is some serious cover up shit here.

Or they could just be going about their investigation. You do realize that they don't release all information for an ongoing investigation, right?

No...they’re just going on with the investigation. Typical

He was saying suspect's. He was discussing the suspect's hotel room, etc.

That apostrophe makes a pretty big difference right thurrrr.

conspiracy nuts don't think logically like that. they hear what fits their belief system

This is the only comment you've ever made in this sub in the 5 years your account has been active, lol

Or, you know, he could be working non-stop for 72 hours. Shut your fucking immature pie hole and start living life.

Seriously. I challenge you to turn off your machines and be out of the house for the next 72 hours. Even 48 would work.

Send me the first response when you get back inside. We'll see how coherent it is.

I'm leaning towards this as a student of watching people.

Not that the FBI guy didn't give me the creeps, no defending that. I can go with the Sheriff, being tired, mis-speaking and saying suspect in the plural form, and a note that wasn't a note taking him off guard for a minute.

There are a LOT of unanswered questions, for sure. The brass was counted, in the room or off the ground or roof below. He should be able to give a count of that, or any range device should be able to count it for him.

GF reported to be Australian that is Filipino that was "in Japan" that was married to 2 dudes at the same time, 2 SSNs, that has lawyered up and arrived in a freaking wheelchair from the Phillipines? There is something there, but she ain't telling.

Somethings are being withheld that shouldn't be. That doesn't mean without a doubt some of the crazy posted here in regards to basic, common knowledge (Why did he wear gloves (it's hot) and how this or that.

Stay focused. Circumstance happens, don't get caught in every single detail. There are legitimate concerns to be had with this.

Could you kindly link to more information on the Australian/Phillipino girlfriend who had 2 SSNs and was married to multiple people? And what about Japan? Haven't heard any of this so far so I'm curious to research.

Agreed.

All 4 other response stop pushing are oddly hostile. I get what you're saying, could have slipped.

wut

He also said global leads - implying they were chasing something else - not just a guy with guns

This sheriff doing the conference is messing up..

I like him... Seems like a good dude. I like the hints he's dropping.

Yeah the FBI agent was glaring at him the whole time. He clearly wanted to spill the beans.

Holy shit that agent is a creepy motherfucker. It's like watching an independent film about a cult.

This entire press conference has given me just a weird feeling. The messages from the FBI agent and the messages from the Sheriff. Just seems like the Sheriff has a lot more he wants to say.

I felt sick watching it. Something is going down

Sheriff looks exhausted.

So, apparently he used one window to have a direct shot at some fuel tanks 1100yd away. They had to repair some holes. No wonder these people look ill. That would have killed far more people.

I thought he was trying to aim at his car.

I'm no marksman but isn't that a really really long shot? Did he even have a high enough caliber gun to penetrate that at such a distance?

.308 could do the job. 800-1000 yards maximum effective range.

Thats with years of training tho... );

Dude was a gun enthusiast and retired in Nevada. Plenty of time to set up a target for months and train. Nobody would ever notice in the desert either.

To hit a human sized chest. The tanks would be likely easier depending on type, and don't move.

Its a very long distance to hit a select target of a human size for a kill.

Not so hard to hit a huge silo or fuel storage. Penetrating it is a whole different question. I have no idea how thick those walls are.

I'm going with he has an extremely detailed plan, and this detail would have definitely been in it. They say he very much planned to escape, so trying to blow up the fuel tanks and leaving in the chaos sounds good on paper.

Link to this? I'm curious

In retrospect, those rounds at that distance would not have had the inertia to ignite jet fuel. Even a 7.62 round would have lost enough velocity by that point to fail to ignite.

Yes, it is a long shot, and yes, the rounds obviously reached that far and were capable of killing humans.

I'm worried that he might have been alone during the shooting but not in the planning. That could be why they are so dodgy. This was well executed and thought out. This could be the first of maybe more attacks.

If something like this with this amount of sophisticated planning happens again soon we'll know.

What gets me is that he had over 15 guns in that hotel room. Its absurd to think he was the only guy using those guns. Hell, i dont even use 15 guns in call of duty

? If you were trying to inflict the maximum amount of damage on a crowd by indiscriminate firing, how many guns would you limit yourself to?

More guns = less reloading, and more options if something jams. The guy was rich, he could afford all the guns he wanted. I'm surprised he stopped at 15.

I personally think he was selling guns out of the room.

Honestly, what worries me - and I'm kinda worried putting this out there, there are hotel rooms at the Disneyland Hotel that look right over Downtown Disney. There are hotel rooms at the Grand Californian that look right into California Adventure Park. (The hotel has its own entrance into the theme park). As a former disney employee... it really frightens me to think of what could happen in those hotel rooms.

The sheriff seemed to imply this at the end of the meeting.

Makes me feel sick too and it's because I am starting to believe (or getting the feeling) that this attack on Sunday was supposed to be ISIS' (offshoot of the CIA, I believe) first attack against Americans on American soil, but the fuel tanks didn't blow up, so in essence, it was considered foiled in the mind of ISIS. Then the next day in Tennessee a guy is pulled over and arrested with an arsenal of guns and ammo in his car. Some of the guns have devices on them that make the gun into an automatic. Who is that guy? Jesus. It's a 25-26 drive from Las Vegas to Tennessee, but maybe someone had bought the guns from Paddock earlier on Sunday and they were transported to the guy who ends up arrested in Tennessee.

A guy a few years ago in Texas sold his company truck at auction and the next thing he knows (a few months later) he sees his truck in a picture with ISIS members in it overseas! It appears ISIS members are coming here to buy guns, ammo, and vehicles and are shipping them overseas. I bet Paddock never was a shooter on Sunday. He was selling guns on the black market for extra money and didn't realize he was dealing with ISIS members. They used his room to attack Americans and then killed him before they escaped. I bet more attacks are coming by ISIS and they're going to be big.

You hear when he started talking about that he believes there was an accomplice? He kept going on about it and it seemed strange when the mainstream media keeps saying there's no accomplice or second shooter

Do you have a link?? Thx!

That doesn't have the Q&A. That part, and the FBI guy, were the most suspicious to me

Full press conference for anyone here looking https://youtu.be/Wg6mZ80C8qc

Commenting for later thanks

FYI you should be able to save comments now

16:15 of the full video makes it look like he hiding something. They way he gets defensive is telling.

https://youtu.be/603C9zCbOu4?t=975

They know something. There was an article today saying they want to speak to whoever he was seen with on camera. Of course they won't release footage or show the public, but they know something and they've seen something.

Now the news is saying "none of the cameras were on". This is sketchy as fuck.

Those hotel cameras never turn off. And there is always someone watching. Always. Casinoes don't fuck around when it comes to that stuff. They have facial recognition technology and the works.

Wait what? Do they mean the hotel cameras? Or the ones that he set up himself to oversee the door and hallway? Because if they mean the hotel cameras that is straight up bullshit.

they meant the ones he set up so /u/this_is_so_awkward misunderstood. They weren't recording, they were feeding into an ipad or tv that he could monitor

They're talking about the cameras he set up in the room. It is believed that these "cameras" were actually baby monitors, which do not record, only live stream to the monitor screen.

Why would he be streaming cameras of the room he's standing in?

Not of the room he was standing in, but in the hall and thru the peephole.

I saw an article today saying that Lombardo thinks he may have had help. That's why they're being so closed mouthed. If he did have help, they don't want to tip that person off.

To be the fair, the police themselves made a big deal out of saying he worked alone on Monday, so this is a pivot on their part, not ours.

I noticed he said suspects instead of suspect a couple of times and then he said they needed to finish collecting the evidence for future prosecutions. eekkk

Even if you're sure it was a lone wolf you act like you'll find accomplices. It's just good policing really.

I didn't watch it so I don't really have the context. Just providing some insight

I agree, you check all angles. But I wouldn't jump to crazy conclusions like some gumshoes on here coughmultiple shooters because strobe lights in windows or cell phone audio that has some echos on itcough

Here it is https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oSnu1HdXZ7k&feature=youtu.be I think the sheriff is just incredibly tired.

Good policing is a good way to put it. Nothing out of the ordinary really and I watched most of it, aside from the bits at the end.

is there video online of this press conference?

Also interested!

Doesnt include the q&a which is what has all the juicy stuff... I'm still trying to find the q&a, anyone have it?

Almost seems like it's an active investigation of a crime that was committed less than 72 hours ago. Crazy!

You're probably right. Just felt like to me the sheriff wanted to say more. That's all I meant.

yeah they dont release details of active investigations. why dont people get that? i get that we're all eager for details but we should all understand how this kind of work is done

The problem is almost all major news sources are talking as if it's an open and shut case, all over the world. Making people think that it's not gonna change like every single other time, and people are tired of being kept it the dark and lied to.

People are pessimistic and are seeing signs of the case being 100% solved. News are treating it as fact instead of saying the investigation is still on-going. We don't want this shit to be like it always is, a bunch of weird lies and omissions and never getting proper answers.

News a few hours after incident: "This is how it went and this is who did it"

People: "Seems fucking fishy, don't pull this same shit again"

You: "Calm down, they didn't say that's how it went"

Doesn't seem weird at all. He won't say anything until it's been confirmed and anything he does say can just be spun out if control.

One theory that has stuck with me...Paddock had ties to the FBI and was in Vegas for some illegal arms dealing which went South (possibly ISIS?) If this theory is true, the Vegas LE know but the FBI doesn't want this info getting out...could explain the sheriff's press actions 🤷🏻‍♀️

While it would be fascinating to believe that ISIS had something to do with this, I highly doubt our FBI would have allowed something like this to go down. Typically, when the FBI does stings like this, they either use fake ammo, bomb supplies, etc.

Additionally, the theory has been floated about him being a "patsy". But again, we're saying that the FBI/Deep State/whoever wanted to off their "rogue agent" and tried to cover it up by allowing a mass murder spree like this to unfold? I'm just not buying it.

Sometimes FBI terror operations go live, like the '93 WTC bombing.

Well, first of all, he knows nothing, just what he's being told. They do this on purpose so he doesn't accidentally say too much.

But, if he knows there was no suicide note, and then he's asked about a specific piece of paper, he can say "it's not a suicide note" but still not know what it was.

Or, he can't let on that it was a price list and inventory.

For what?

The (theorised) arms deal that went bad.

Seems weird for one note left out to be a price list and inventory.

Wouldn't it be a folder or something?

Maybe, lets face it, while they don't release any meaningful information and act like somethings being covered up any theory is almost as good as another.

That's simply not a true statement at all

Really? I look forward to the press' in-depth investigation and interviews about the wealth of eye-witness reports of multiple shooters tomorrow then.

Reports that are being systematically scrubbed from the internet by the usual controlled information outlets. Nothing to hide though, honest.

Is my theory that it was a note that aliens left on their way past earth as good as that?

Depends on if it's in English or not.

an arms deal for 23 legally owned guns? Weird

This^

I'm sure every ISIS deal for basic, off the shelf weaponry secretly conducted comes with a receipt. You know, because of accountants in Syria.

Why fly to America, pay a premium, and get stuck on the 32nd floor when they could've just bought and had them shipped?

But yeah, they are hiding a paper trail to document a legal yet illegal arms deal.

For their expense/ TPA report.

An arms deal consisting of civilian guns....... The arms deal is by far the dumbest theory I’ve seen so far. Nothing about it makes any sense whatsoever.

Yeah, I really wish someone would explain to me how or why an arms deal gone bad resulted in what happened.

So the deal went bad, the actual perpetrators killed Paddock right then and there, and then said, "Okay, there's a Jason Aldean concert going on outside. Let's open fire on it."

If they killed the guy, wouldn't they be able to just take the weapons?

I'm not trying to sound dismissive. It's a genuine questions, because I cannot fathom how else this theory would work.

Because this deal was for arms meant to do a huge attack here in the states. Which is what happened with them. Just happened much earlier than they thought it would.

Yeah if the paper didn't have anything written on it then you can't expect him to notice and remember a random piece of paper with nothing on it.

Very rational, thank you for the clear and concise explanation

This is exactly what I got out that questioning.

He was asked: "In the leaked photos, there was a yellow...what appears to be, a yellow note. Can you tell us anything about that?"

At that point he's trying to recall what exactly is in the leaked photos. Also to note the paper appears (to me) to be pink/purple, not yellow.

He "can't recall."

The questioning continued: "A suicide note or anything?"

To which the Sheriff responds quickly that there was no suicide note.

To me, he doesn't seem to be covering for anything.

There is a note, it was not a suicide note. Those are not contradictory statements.

He's dropping bread crumbs. The sheriff knows more than he's allowed to say, but we're picking up on the clues he's dropping. This and the comments about when he purchased the firearms in 2016 and how many.

Any idea to the event October 2016? I've been combing through world and local news to no avail.

It was when paddock purchased the firearms I believe. No major event was referenced.

No major events at the tail end of 2016 hmmm.....

Not sure if sarcasm or not, but October 2016 was the height of the most nationally divisive Presidential race in American history.

Also of note, Trump held a rally in none other than Henderson, NV on October 5th.

I just did the instant google and didn't think about it myself. I bet you are on the money with that one.

First debate was 9/27/2016

There was a 4chan thread with someone claiming to be in the sheriff's department saying exactly that - they would be dropping bread crumbs in the news conferences

As much as I digest 4chan, they sure seem to have the scoop on alot of shit.

Quit eating them! We need them doing autist stuff!

Do you mean "detest"?

Thanks spell check.

Anyone know who the third guy to speak was? The one berating the reporters for asking the same questions and speculating?

Dean Heller?

Thanks

That was Steve Sisolak, not Heller

Thanks for the correction

Pretty sure he was the police commish

We are being lied to.

That's been going on for a long time.

Correct

True.

Only since the dawn of Civilization.

Or maybe it wasn't a suicide note. Could have been a phone number, could have been a memo to self, could have been something taunting people. Or maybe he just was doodling something. He was over 60 years old, people from that era don't use their phones for everything.

That Politicians said; "Make Las Vegas Safe Again." WTF was that?? I felt like that was a definite bread crumb.

Anons wont let this note or ANY thing go in peace. The public will know. Believe that

I wish I shared your optimism but at this point I have no reason to.

And even if they release it I don't think I would believe it was the real thing.

If they release a note saying "Dear Diary: Today I'mma gonna kill me some Trump supporters" I think I could force myself to believe it.

It's been 3 days. Give it time until pieces are put together.

Anyone got a link to this press conference? Would like to see for myself.

foxnews live stream. just back it up like 45 minutes to the presser.

It's 40 minutes of nothing burger, with the exception of one tired sheriff being restricted on what he want to say, by a FBI officer that got testy and may have just committed career suicide. Very little substance, and pleas to give us "5 days" to tell us the number of bright shiny objects (casings) they recovered.

I think the FBI agent was sketchy too. "This our community. It's our community too". Pretty odd opening statement.

I think the sheriff's "answers" regarding the security guard were the sketchiest though: "he happened upon that doorway because it was ajar"? Why would the door be open and why is he alone?

The sheriff says this approximately at 17:28 Pacific time

Also gotta add the sheriff said there were 200 rounds fired into the hallway at the security guard, and that it's amazing that he only got shot in the leg. Just weird...

That one might be normal. I used to work alongside cops, and one fella got in a pistol fight one night while I had a police radio. Neighter of them got hit by a bullet. We later found out over 200 shots were fired and they hit everything but each other.

Nerves, low experience, bump stock gun, coupled with shooting through a door and it's not too hard to imagine just one hit. Thankfully just in the leg.

200 shots, through what it appears to be the one door, isn't impossible but highly unlikely

The gun goes off, the guard jumps out of the way, or falls on the ground. The shooter dumps two 100 round mags through the door. It's just that simple.

Yea because this incident is epitomized by simplicity

With all the 100rd mags I saw on the floor in the pic. With the bump stock I saw on the AR on the floor. Knowing the bump stock is a pray and spray proposition. Yes, this part of the story is pretty simple.

This isn't a movie, real life isn't that coreographed and "pretty". You don't just react and jump out of the way of a hail of bullets.

i bet the shot went through the wall/door as a result of blind fire. also the odds of any one shot hitting any part of the guys body are very low, especially since they likely couldnt see each other

I mean I doubt the guard just stood still while he shot all 200 rounds. He probably ducked into the recession outside of most doors and got low.

Seeing as he was shot in the leg, low prolly wasn't the best place to avoid fire. And I doubt there's any blood splatter in the hallway because the bullet is still in his leg, so all we have is the "official story, which is not much, and speculation.

If the shot came at an upward trajectory he might have gotten prone because the shooter was prone and shooting up or maybe he got prone because the shooter was just praying and spraying through the door. Some aspects of this there's dozens of possibilities for, and when you add them all it this whole thing stinksm

Sure smells like a pile of stink going on

This reeks of bullshit.

Granted these guys weren't top of the crop. They were in security roles with the only thing differentiating from mall cops was they were actual police officers. Old guys, fat guys, a preacher/cop. Second rate, plus I used the same guns they used and they were poorly kept. It rained a lot, so lots of rust after a rainy shift. Had one jam on me during training.

It does rain a lot in Vegas, while in a casino...

Did training involve cleaning/maintaining the gun?

Nope we just used their guns. They had people at the armory that cleaned and maintained them. The police and our group would just arm up at shift start and arm down at shift end. Instead of being cryptic, it was simply security for a DoD installation. I wasn't police but my group helped out since we were undermanned. Same job but they could arrest while we couldn't. Got to use their guns though.

It definitely happens, but this guy was using rifles at extremely close range. Rifle rounds penetrate way more than pistol rounds and keep going. Maybe the sheriff is hinting at something.

But we are supposed to believe he killed 60 people from 300 yards with a bump stock, low experience and high nerves? Get outta here.

There's a difference between hitting a moving single target behind a door you can't see through and spraying into a 22,000 crowd from elevation. Mainly the target is huge and you don't need to aim. I'm guessing he did just that, not aim and just spray fire down the hallway.

He literally didn't need to aim to get hits.

a baby could kill 60 people shooting into a crowd from above

There aren't 200 bullet holes in the door to his room though.

I didn't know they had a picture of the blasted in part of the door, care to share?

There is a picture of the door with maybe 11 bullet holes seen but no way there's almost 190 more in that door! Here's the picture:

http://a.abcnews.com/images/US/hotel-room-vegas-shooter10a-pol-ml-170103_4x5_992.jpg

And the door was "ajar"? So your telling me he shot 200 rounds and only shot the security guard in the leg??? WTF

The door ajar comment has to be explained IMO

Maybe the door popped open as he was shooting 200 rounds through it. The shooter would have seen the security guard coming down the hallway toward his room.

No during the briefing the sheriff says that the security guard found the correct room because he noticed a door was ajar, and he thought it was odd, implying that the door was ajar before Paddock started shooting at him.

On the police scanner audio, an officer is on the 31st floor stairwell asking dispatch to get a maintenance guy to him with an elevator key. Then he says to let him know who is coming because he doesn't want a 'blue on blue' problem, meaning, an officer shooting an officer. I THINK THE POLICE SHOT THE MAINTENANCE/SECURITY OFFICER. There are NOT 200 bullet holes in the door to that room. It appears the SWAT team shot their way into the room though.

I find it odd that door would be ajar while he committed mass murder. Just seems like something you would make sure was closed. Plus, don't high end hotel doors usually close by themselves. I mean, he could have had a funky door, I guess.

Maybe someone else dressed as a security guard left after he shot the guy

There is that theory floating around. Someone reported having seen security guards seemingly chasing after another security guard. But I wonder why it would be seen like that and not one security guard leading the others.

The initial scanner recordings covered this as well. It is really hard to say. Security doing security things or the perfect cover.

I'd imagine there are cameras in most hallways there and I'd doubt the guard that took a bullet to the leg is self inflicted. I'm sure there has to be interesting interactions the shooter had, him talking to anyone for any benign reason would be of interest to them.

Maybe he meant to say "adjacent?" When I listened to it, that's what I actually thought he said.

bet it was through a wall

Although it would explain why the cab driver's video has it sounding like the gun fire came from further away and was muffled one time (wasn't an echo either, the echo had already happened earlier after the louder burst of shots and had a different rate of fire). Maybe that was the exact moment he took shots away from the window.

"(Extremely loud and close) BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM (few seconds later it echoes back)... a minute or two goes by... (more muffled shots with different rate) BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM (a few more minutes go by - then extremely loud again) BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM"

lol no he said "AHH MAAAZZING"

Assuming he was using 100 round magazines, this means he unloaded two full magazines at the door.

AGREED. He said it in a way that he was angry, or knew it was a lie. Also curious how the ONLY statement from the security guard is “I was doing my job”

Nothing else.

He is only being regarded the most heroic person of the shooting

Door is open but SWAT had to blow it up to get in. I'm pretty sure close the door would be high on the mass murder plan checklist. Also, don't almost all hotel doors have automatic closers on them?

They actually breached the wall next to the door, leaked photos online showed the door and the wall next to it was blown in

It actually looks like it was a double-door, and they breached the left door into the main suite.

Yeah I went back after typing that and realized I was wrong. Sorry about that. Been busy so haven’t had time to come back and correct myself

If I recall correctly he had a camera on a service cart that was in the hallway (I think). Maybe the door was ajar because of the power or video cord coming from the camera into the room?

Has anyone noticed that Aaron Rouse, the lead FBI agent in charge of the investigation used to work for the Counterintelligence Division of the FBI?

https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/aaron-rouse-named-special-agent-in-charge-of-the-las-vegas-division

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI_Counterintelligence_Division

What do you think Counterintelligence does that makes this fact suspicious? Many agents work multiple postings over their careers.

Because the FBI has field offices in Vegas. So yes, it most likely literally is his fucking community.

Do you think because they're FBI they can't be locals? Seriously use your brain for a second.

No shit, the oddity is why he said it the second time like he was defending himself, and how it was delivered.

Seriously use your ears for a second and listen for yourself.

Probably because most people don't think of the "FBI" as locals and part of the "community" ? Seems like he's saying, and yes we are part of your community.

You're really grasping here.

All I'm doing is pointed out it was weird, as was most of his speech

....but it wasn't. That's why I'm saying you're reaching.

Difference in opinion, fair enough

As someone who goes to casinos a decent amount I've never seen a security guard wandering the hallways of the hotels. they are usually just down by the elevators and you have to show your room key to the security guard before getting on the elevator.

i thought the security guard thing was weird - how did he know to go up there? i thought maybe he had a walkie talkie that someone said "go up to room XYZ right now", that would maybe make sense. but to just "happen upon the doorway" is odd.

I've never seen a guard ask for a keycard. The elevators typically can't be used without scanning the card first, though.

really? i remember in planet hollywood i had to show my key card every time, it was a pain in the ass lol i remember having to fish it out of my pocket every time, but i understood it was a good safety precaution.

But whether the security guard is by the elevators or not, i have NEVER seen one wandering the hallways of the actual hotel room floors.

I dunno, that was back in 2011. I know in NYC most hotels don't bother stopping people.

i have NEVER seen one wandering the hallways of the actual hotel room floors.

And how many Las Vegas Casino's have you stayed in long enough to see all that goes on in the hallways? Last couple times I've been in Vegas I've been in the hallway to my room about .001% of the time I've been there. Not exactly long enough for me to form an opinion of exactly who walks down it on a regular basis.

Besides, the point the other guy was making was that security practices vary depending on the hotel. Have you stayed at Mandalay Bay long enough to watch their halls for extended periods?

It has been reported that the security guard made contact with the shooter roughly 10 minutes after the shots began. Upon realizing the security guard's presence, he unloaded the 200 rounds through the door. After that barage, the shooting stopped. It is believed to be at that point the shooter offed himself.

Pretty sure the security guard followed the sounds of gunfire, plus reports coming in on the location, he was the first to be able to get up there and check it out. I'm sure his initial reaction was "Alright! Something besides shoveling some drunk back in his room..."

Wait... casinos are noisy as hell. if the security guard was downstairs in the casino he would not have heard shots fired from an individual hotel room on the, what was it, 32nd floor??? this is just my opinion of course. That was my point - a security guard would only go up to the hotel room floors for a REASON, and it would have to be a reason communicated to him because i don't think a security guard on the casino floor would hear anything from up above.

not only is it noisy in the casino with slot machines, people talking, etc, etc but most casinos involve a seriously long walk to get to your hotel room. this goes for vegas as well as small casinos like in atlantic city. it's always a pain walking to/from rooms because it's such a far walk and sometimes you walk through restaurants and what not.

I dont believe he was the one that pinpointed the exact location on his own, but these security guards have earpieces and I would imagine there would be lots of chatter, and continued development on an exact location as he made his way up.

Listening to the police scanner, you can hear them start narrowing it down to Mandalay Bay withing minutes of the initial shots.

Once he got closer though, I would also imagine shots could be heard which also helped him narrow down the location.

individual hotel room on the, what was it, 32nd floor??

This was evening, it's conceivable that OTHER PEOPLE were on the 32nd floor and called down to the lobby because there was GUNFIRE.

have you ever been to a casino while someone is firing hundreds of rounds out the window of that casino?

see my response above to another poster - i find it hard to believe a security guard on the ground floor heard that from a high floor with all the noise a casino makes as well as the distance between the casino floor and the individual hotel room.

I have watched every presser this one was fucking nuts

do you have a link? i cannot find it anywhere on youtubes yet

thank you!

9:30 he says "suspects" as in plural... Huh!

Or suspect's as in the suspect's hotel room.

like, "I'm going over to Frank's?" because he doesn't say any possessive noun there.

"Delay in reaching the suspects (full stop)".

That's what I got out of it aswell.

I understand the need to get to the bottom of this, but reaching just muddies the water and does not help.

He is talking about a delay "in reaching the suspects." There is nothing else in that sentence to indicate that there should be an apostrophe. Did you listen to it?

Watched the entire thing multiple times... im engrossed in looking into it. Just putting out an alternate possibility. He already clearly said they are nearly positive he had help, so I get what you guys are saying. Its also entirely possible he misspoke because he’s exhausted and stressed out.

May have been thinking of the 'suspect's room' but for whatever reason cut short mid sentence. It's not like this guy is used to giving press conferences, he's going to make mistakes while speaking.

Probably. It was super weird though.

You've never made errors while speaking?

I said you are most likely correct. Yes I have made errors speaking. I wasn't clear, but in general it was strange to watch him. Can't imagine the position he's in.

Look at the guy in the back's face when the Sheriff mentions President Trump. Weird smile he gets.

Whole press Briefing including Q&A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=603C9zCbOu4

thanks

Look up ‘Tucker Carlson tonight 10/4/17’ on YouTube. Presser begins roughly 2:30 in

I was telling my wife this over dinner. You can tell which sounds are the live fire and which are the echos, but then you can hear different live fire at a different fire rate over the first live fire

I've only seen sources from random news video blog channels like oann. Is there raw, closest to the source footage that can help understand your theory?

It's in the police body cam footage they released

Exactly goddamn

The FBI especially was so fucking obvious. Insanely obvious. Trust us!

Lots of shilly spookies in this thread

You should see the youtube comments on eyewitness videos.

I can't even imagine how cancerous they are.

I'd say almost 80% of the ones crying "it is just echos" are accounts with no subscribers, no activity, nothing. Empty accounts

I bet YouTube is like Twitter in the sense that the is a collection of bots to skew numbers

it is google, so I'm certain of it.

Reporter : Is there any evidence he believed he was going to survive this ?" Sheriff Grins : "Yes " Reporter : "What was it ?" Sherriff : " I can't tell you " This to me is the most significant thing in the press conference

Also the fact that his girlfriend isn't in custody but under witness protection or something along those lines

Last I heard, she took a flight back to LA and is in the FBI’s custody for questioning.

The FBI said they didn't have anyone in custody.

The FBI said they didn't have anyone in custody.

Fuckin Bullshit Innit?

i dont think custody is the right word. they picked her up from the airport and whisked her away for questioning

http://www.570news.com/2017/10/04/vegas-shooters-girlfriend-says-didnt-know-attack-plans/

Her story is pretty odd. Who receives $100K and worries the recipient is breaking up with them?

If I had the money and wanted to push a love interest away but still cared for there well being.. why not?

Damn, I dated the wrong guys

There's your problem. You should date chicks instead :)

he lived of of gambling - if I understood his brother well (interview)

not regular Joe out there - I imagine thats a stressful life to lead even if you are mostly successful

I find this very hard to believe, no one makes a living off high stakes video slot machines, NO ONE.

He was either intentionally burning through his money, or he was laundering dirty money. Some criminals spend hours in casinos so they have a plausible excuse for how they come into thousands of dollars a week.

I would not know I am not in those (gamblers) circles.

I am just saying what his brother said (not sure if he was lying or no)

The Starbucks employees at his casino said they saw him being a dick to his girlfriend all the time, saying he would berate her publically and go on about how he pays for her.

Honestly it may be a common thing among filipinos who date rich white men

30 years in the US, multiple overlapping marriages, multiple SSNs, Visa initiially sponsored by a US intelligence undersec in DC...

What? She's not a US citizen.

might be they shared winnings and he owed her, she was also a gambler.

Smart!

It should be noted that neighbors saw Danley apparently moving out of Paddock's home, "stuffing her car with all her belongings" two-weeks ago (source article). So the real question is why would somebody who just moved out of their significant other's house not think they were breaking up until she received $100k while out of the country?

*Side note in regards to the source article I posted: Remember when Paddock's brother claimed the shooter "wasn't a gun guy at all"? Strange that his brother knew nothing about his gun room or any of the big safes he had in plain view in the garages of his homes.

His brother did say he knew paddock owned a few guns and a gun safe but wasnt a gun guy. But only said a few hand guns and maybe a shotgun.

Good point.

She's not at US citizen. He sent her abroad and wired money to her. That could sound like h's trying to set her up to be secure on her own.

Isn't being "in custody" a legal term? So she might be co-operating with the FBI, answering questions, even staying with them... but as long as it's of her own free will then she is not technically "in custody" ...?

Pretty sure the media claims she willingly came to the states to clear her name...

But if this guy was in fact involved in any sort of undercover deal, then she is coming to the FBI for safety. This makes more sense to me but I could still be wrong.

but I could still be wrong.

you are

Ok show me evidence.

Well. The fact that absolutely NOTHING, ZERO, NADDA, ZILCH has been released the support the idea that this was anything except for a single deranged madman with money hellbent on killing people.

The evidence supporting it not being some bullshit undercover deal is the fact that they now report he had rented rooms overlooking other musical events in recent months in Chicago.

So no. You're wrong. Until something actually comes out to support your BS theory maybe just stick to facts.

I've never heard about him having rooms overlooking other stadiums. Can you show me evidence of this?

And there's a reason I said I could be wrong. People love speculating. But you love to be a fuck face. And no I don't need to show evidence ur a fuck face because clearly u don't need evidence to just blindly say I'm wrong.

Oh Im sorry. It was pretty hard to find.....

And there's a reason I said I could be wrong. People love speculating.

There is a difference between speculating and doing what you're doing. Speculating would be "I wonder if his motive was that he really hated Jason Aldeen? I wonder if he wanted to emotionally scare Jason Aldeen for life?"

What you are doing is creating BS narratives not rooted in any facts. The whole undercover deal has absolutely zero tangible facts to support it beyond far right wing assholes floating the idea that it was a deal where ISIS was trying to buy weapons and it was an FBI sting or some stupid bullshit. So to even continue floating the idea that is was an undercover operation is to ignore the fact that the initial claim was BS to begin with. So then you said "I could be wrong" in reference to it. I simply said "You are."

Then you asked for evidence why it was NOT an undercover deal and I provided some, told you your theory was BS and you should stick to facts.

Then you fly off the rail because I provided you with the facts you asked for. Told you why your theory was bullshit and said you should rely on facts rather than weak ass theories based on nothing.

Yeah...its totally ME that is the "fuck face".....

Yes you are totally a fuck face, but you are also a hippocrit. There is no concrete proof for ANY theory out there. Each side can be argued right or wrong right now because NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS.

You came in accusing me I was wrong, but that is because you are nothing more than a shill trying to push the official narrative, which you clearly believe is right, even though NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS.

So until you can tell me precisely what happened with strong evidence that both proves your story and disproves others, I will completely ignore you and urge everyone else to do the same.

You came in accusing me I was wrong, but that is because you are nothing more than a shill trying to push the official narrative, which you clearly believe is right, even though NO ONE FUCKING KNOWS.

I never accused you of anything. I affirmed something that YOU said was a possibility. Big difference. But language is hard so I will forgive you.

Looks like a fucking nervous and shit Sherriff getting eaten alive by diligent press to me. He referred to him as a super-hero in the moment ffs.

I think the word he was looking for was super-human

I think the word he was looking for was super-human

super-villain more like.

Since when were the FBI ever honest about anything?

The FBI said they didn't have anyone in custody.

Hmm. I was almost positive I had read an article earlier today posted on this sub and I could’ve swore I read that they did. I’ll try to see if I can find an article. Could’ve very easily misread something.

I'm pretty sure i read the same article on USA Today. It said she's not in custody but the FBI told her she will remain a person of interest in the investigation.

Thanks for the clarification. I was frantically browsing at work and I have been researching for countless hours so i most likely misread it. My bad

Not the article I read because I think dailymail is asswater, but this does clear up my confusion. Thank you!

Daily Mail gets a bad rap.

Lol for me I think it’s all the horseshit pictures, formatting, and quite often the grammatical errors

True but they are first almost always.... irregardless.

Fair enough kind sir

custody is probably not the right word. she is a person of interest and the fbi are talking to her.

Yeah I’m pretty positive I misread or it was misreported.

I agree with you, I remember seeing something SOMEWHERE about this. I think I was at the gym. I'm confused though....

When this happened in LV, I was abroad in Belgium at the time. So I was JUST waking up to this as it was breaking.

A young girl said that said woman was running around warning everyone she was going to die, but fled...?? By time they found her she was out of the country????... how could she get out of the country so quickly. And why would the first thing they do is return her to the US and then let her go? Her involvement seems sketchy to me.

The 21 year old girl that reported the Hispanic woman saying “you’re all going to die” was not Marilou Danley. She was already out of the country when the shooting took place to my knowledge. That was a different woman.

THANK YOU for the clarification. I remember seeing they were keeping an eye out for a specific car and plate # but when they found her she had left the country. I was like: ??? Although giving her 100,000 over in the Philippines is pretty sketch lol

Marilou’s statement about the $100k was that she thought it was his way of breaking up with her

she was quoted saying that there was nothing to worry about because she had a “clean conscience”

the North/HRC/Huma/Weiner/Sullivan/Awan/Podesta/GWB/Cheney/Libby/Rumsfeld defense.

govt speak at its sewerst.

More like a "debriefing" if you ask me.

Not sure if still relevant but coming home 1 hour ago on Australian radio they said his Australian/Phillipino girlfriend flew to LA and is "currently being held by the FBI who arrested her upon entering USA" weird lol

Source for her being under witness protection? They just said she's a "person of interest"

Listen the FBI agent talk at the press conference today. He says something like " she is co operating therefore we will not be revealing her location "

That doesn't mean she's under witness protection...

The sheriff even said he sat down and had lunch with her

Maybe they found a plane ticket or bus ticket

Found the detective. I bet you are right, and/or its the money transfers offshore.

I wonder if he was heading towards another event or landmark to target if he got the chance.

comet pizza i bet

Way to make a connection.

If you align the gun scope just right it makes 2 concentric circles!

Retard.

How is he carrying all his rifles though?

how many would fit in golf luggage? or maybe attack number 2 didn't involve guns?

Maybe two? Without mods.

Not sure how he thought he'd get out of the casino at all during the whole situation though.

They wouldn't need to hide a plane ticket.

Exactly. The man is dead. The only reason they won't tell us is either because there's more people involved that they're looking for or they're covering up the possible political intent.

Or they are tying to not to give away that there could be their people involved before they find out why he had booked a trip to wherever.

He had cameras set up, and I think I recall reading he may have been recording himself during. If he was planning on living and something made him decide to suicide unexpectedly or someone else killed him, maybe the police saw it on video. If his death wasn't premeditated, I expect the video would show that.

My guess is he forgot to disconnect the smoke detector. As soon as it went off hotel staff were notified which room and that's how they found him so fast.

Could have rented a third room connected we don't know about yet, could have had a security guard outfit, etc.

If this is true why would he rent the hotel room in his name

Lends to the agency asset theory.

explain?

CIA undercovers help radicalize and guide an idiot into being in the right place at the right time, with all the evidence a courtroom could want.

If you want to get down to facts, lots of rounds were shot from a room where they found a dead guy. That in no way means he was the one doing it. Or that he was even alone.

Gotcha. Makes sense to me.

I fully believe he wasn't the shooter at all

There were LVPD reports from police scanners that there were multiple shooters. Two of those were reported entering two different hotels while the "suspect" Stephen Paddock was already reported dead. If it wasn't a setup, and Paddock wasn't used as a Guinea pig, he had help... or at the very least there's more to this story that we aren't being told.

Or there was just straight up masd confusion and false reports happening in the middle of a chaotic mass shooting

You're probably right. It's more likely that a 64 year old retired accountant turned full Rambo and injured 500 people in under 9 minutes all by himself.

Yea bc it takes Rambo like skill to unload a thousand rounds from 15+ weapons, modded to be basically fully automatic downhill into a sea of 20,000+ all grouped up like sardines

Plus youre assuming all injuries are from gun fire when most are probably from getting trampled during the exodus of people trying to escape

Have you ever shot a gun? An “assault rifle?” It would hurt like hell to shoot a thousand rounds like he allegedly did in that short of a time frame.

Im not saying he shot a thousands rounds im just saying with the equipment he had it would be easy to do so in that short of a time frame

Even if it did "hurt like hell" which I don't believe because I have shot hundreds if not thousands of rounds in a short period of time out of actual assault rifles and machine guns, why would he care that it hurt? Even if he felt it through all the adrenaline.

No...no it doesn't. A .223 round has very little recoil.

Source--gun nut

Video from within the crowd shows little to no trampling, there was plenty of room. Just playing devils advocate. If it was an arena, they'd have been sardines in a can, but a better analogy would be more like ducks in a pond.

He didn't shoot anywhere near 1,000 rounds. Even if he did, he would've had an accuracy rate of hitting 1 out of every two shots fired, with an automatic weapon, from over 1,100 yards away.... yeah I'd say those are Rambo stats any day of the week. Not even the best special ops in the world could legitimately meet those numbers given all the variables. Not to mention, he probably shot 500-600 rounds meaning almost every bullet hit a target. And they call it common sense Get the fuck out of here...

Firstly I didnt say he shot 1000 rounds, i said it would be easy to shoot that amount in a short period of time with that many weapons and modding the guns to almost automatic fire

Youre telling me no one in the world could hit 1 out of every 2 shots from 400 yards away consistently? Bc thats nothing to a trained military sharpshooter

Also why are you assuming every single bullet hit? We already know they didnt bc theres video with sounds of bullets richocheting(which they wouldnt if impacted with flesh) and hitting other things, most of the injuries probably came from the rush of people running towards the exits

No, it would not be easy to shoot 1,000 rounds in under 9 minutes. It would be very difficult, actually. Also, do you have any idea how difficult it is to hit a target 400 yards away with a rifle, much less a FULLY AUTOMATIC weapon? These variables mixed with the number of deaths and injuries (allowing us to assume at least a general success rate of shots landed) are virtually impossible, hence the Rambo reference.

And most of the injuries came from the rush of people lying on the ground / standing around? Well that's more likely than the msm narrative of Rambo Paddock, the 64 yr old retired accountant, single handily mowing down a small army of civilians given the aforementioned variables. I can't believe we're even discussing this.

Dude you might be legitimately retarded....the guns he was using were 500-600rpms, do you know what RPM stand for? Its rounds per minute, sooooo theoretically he could shoot 1000 rounds in 2 minutes with no reloads, but as we know he reloaded and moved between windows so again I say he didnt shoot 1000 rounds off that night but its possible to shoot 1000 rounds in a 10 minute time frame

You seriously have no idea about shooting and weapons at all, he has elevation and a literal sea of people grouped within a tight area, he would barely even need to aim to hit anybody, just get his range and start sweeping back and forth

And why are you so intent to believe all the injuries are from bullets? They arent he killed 58 people thats a fact but in total he probably only hit about 150 people and the rest were injured by richochets(which he has no control over), shrapnel and the sea of bodies around them

Post a video. Go shoot 100's of rounds in 9 minutes and set up targets 400 yards away. I'd love to see you hit one. show us all how easy it is.

And you don't seem to understand the difference between capability and execution. The gun is capable of shooting 100's of rounds in X amount of time. No shit... do you understand how automatic weapons work? It's not a rifle where you dial in, take your time, achieve absolute steadiness, and pull the trigger. It's automatic. Your hands are shaking and jolting. There is no dialing in, no steadiness, yet you think it's just point shoot and hit. Simple as that. Maybe at distances of 15-30 yards away, yeah. 400 yards away? Are you kidding me?

And To quote you "And why are you so intent to believe all the injuries are from bullets? They arent he killed 58 people thats a fact but in total he probably only hit about 150 people and the rest were injured by richochets(which he has no control over), shrapnel and the sea of bodies around them"

The rest were injured by ricochets... do you know what a ricochet is? It's still a bullet dumbass. And shrapnel? What, are the bullets now mini bombs exploding and affecting people in an area of effect? And again with the Sea of bodies? Wtf is that? They were all lying down / standing around. How is this causing injuries in great number? There was no stampede.

And btw, this is your logic: A nascar is capable of reaching 200 mph. Therefore, because the instrument is able to reach 200 mph, I should be able to jump in a car and drive at that rate of speed for 1.5 - 4 hrs easily. I'm immediately granted an incredibly high level of skill through osmosis because of what the instrument is capable of doing.

Absolutely there was mass confusion, I was in the casinos at the Mirage during the shooting and the entire casino floor went into a panic that their was a shooter in our hotel. Everyone stayed running and security had everyone get under the tables. Turns out no one was there. Also just from people gossiping the following was happening....a shooter at Ceasers, a shooter at NYNY, three guys with guns not one. Point is during a panic people just start making shit up because they're scared. Someone hears a noise or sees something and it only takes one person running to freak everyone the fuck out.

Exactly, happens at every single event like this

What's that

I'm wondering if anyone else is considering the fact that Yes, he was an Accountant.....but he was accountant for the Department of Defense.

"Paddock worked, a spokesperson with OPM says he spent 6 years with the IRS before he ended up in the auditing department of the Defense Contract Audit Agency." 12:14 PM

"According to its website, the Defense Contract Audit Agency provides audit and financial advisory services to the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal entities responsible for acquisition and contract administration."

IIRC he also worked for Lockheed Martin for a period of time?

No it doesn’t. Why would we book a hotel room for a gun deal using his real name, esp if he was a CIA asset. That makes no sense at all.

That makes no sense at all.

That's why it makes perfect sense.

Fact that he had on gloves show that he thought he was going to escape. Otherwise why wear gloves.

These guns get extremely hot and are not easy to handle. Most who’ve shot these before would wear gloves, even at a range.

he had multiple guns, that was not an issue

If you fire 30 rounds from an AR quickly, the gun will be too hot to hold. Period.

That's not true at all.

What? No, they have heat shields.

Source: own a slide fire and have shot real automatics.

Same here. I have put down my AR after putting too many rounds through it. Even with a shield. Are you saying guns don’t get hot while firing rounds at a high rate?

as long as you dont touch the barrel and the breach everything is fine. It'll obviously be warm to the touch, but still be fine to handle where it's supposed to be handled.

The weapon would have a catastrophic failure before it became to hot to touch in the handguards and grip.

pffft. you've obv never shot full auto. and this guy was shooting bigger than 30rd mags.

But why bother bringing 22 rifles if you don't alternate between them to dissipate the heat?

Did this guy bring any LMGs? Or did he juts stock up on 22 modified ARs like he was the ultimate fan boy?

But why bother bringing 22 rifles if you don't alternate between them to dissipate the heat?

Good question, and one that has spawned the many conspiracy theories floating around this sub.

BeachVolleyball -1 points 1 year ago How do you stop shootings? Take away guns

dudes full of it

Own an AR15 and the rail definitely gets too hot for non gloved hands when doing mag dumps. Using a BCM KMR on my rifle. Not all ARs have heat shields. A lot like the Daniel Defense rifles he was using are just free float pic rails and those suckers get hot.

Own an AR15 and the rail definitely gets too hot for non gloved hands when doing mag dumps.

Which is when you switch to one of your dozens of other loaded and ready guns.

Yeah but you don't hold the rail when you shoot though.

Depends on the grip but yeah you make some if not full contact with the rail. Clamp grip is what is taught most these days. Travis Hailey has a few good videos explaining it among others.

Why the fuck would burnt hands matter if he had no intention of escaping. The room was in his name, there is a note taped to the end table. He had to have known there was no possible way he was getting away with it.

So why does a dead man care about burning his hands?

I would think the gloves were maybe more about fingerprints, as shooting gloves often have the tips exposed for more dexterity.

Either that or his dumb ass was trying to be more tacticool

hahah wtf...

They put a little thing on ar15s called handguards that standoff from the barrel for that exact reason.

yeah, go shoot a full auto for a few min. dump full mags. you will likely only be shooting 30 rnd mags. this guy was shooting 50ish round mags according to the photos.

theres a million videos on you tube of people emptying mag after mag

Most people who shoot will also tell you that they would wear form fitting gloves, many with open fingers on the trigger hand. These gloves look like gardening gloves. I imagine they would make it harder not easier to operate these weapons.

These type of weapons start getting red hot when fired full auto. They don't really make good form fitting gloves that can insulate against white red hot metal.

Right, but if the official narrative is to be believed, none of those weapons would have gotten hot enough to do any damage if he was cycling through the 20+ rifles he had.

I'm sure he didn't stop after the first few volleys and say "Shit that's hot!"

Chances are he was wearing them from the outset as a precaution to burning his hands.

Plus you only see one glove in the leaked photos, could very well have had fingers cutout on his right hand to grab the trigger with. Assuming he shoots right handed.

From the looks of it, he was using each weapon until it hit empty, then tossed it and grabbed a new weapon so that he didn't have to reload at all. Next, it seems to be that all those rifles were using the 100 round surefire magazines. Lastly, going by the cell phone footage, he didn't sit there and sustain fire for all 100 rounds until empty. He was firing in bursts (decently longs bursts, but still bursts).

From those three bits of info, i can safely guess that none of those rifles got so hot that you would have needed gloves to pick them up at any point. That is the point of the hand guards running along the barrel; to stop your hands from grabbing the actual barrel and burning yourself.

I have also heard the argument that the shooter didn't want sweaty hands to mess up his aim. I really doubt that is the case too, because during the time i was in the military, I was a range coach for a decent period and never saw anyone fumble with a rifle due to "sweaty hands." I am not saying that no one ever used gloves while in a training exercise, but for those who didn't wear them, they didn't come across that issue.

With all that said, we all have no idea why exactly the shooter was wearing gloves. All of this is pure speculation. I am hoping that with my comment, we can make better educated guesses. I particularly favor the "masking his own fingerprints" motive, but i am sure that theory is going to get blown out in the not too distant future.

Personally, i am back-and-forth between believing he had accomplices who off'ed him when they saw that security knew their location (and bailed, obviously, using him as the lone fall guy), or that this bastard was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and was set up by an outside agency to be used in a false flag event as the only major suspect. I am willing to change my stances as new information comes out, which is at least better than many of the people here who are set in their way of thinking only.

The video footage, to me, makes it seem like he WAS reloading. There are long pauses in between burts of fire, longer than it would take to discard a gun and pick up a new, pre-loaded gun.

With twenty-three modded and preloaded weapons, he could have easily done way more damage had they been in close proximity to him and exhausted fluently. Interesting that they're scattered around the room like he was setting up a showcase, huh? And all those loose mags sitting on the floor? You can't convince me, if we're going to believe that his intent was to do as much damage as possible, that those guns would've been laid out like that. It doesn't make any sense.

And if the motive and/or the reality of the situation is deeper than just "lone gunman kill kill kill," it raises a slew of questions that need to be answered and throws a huge wrench in the media's efforts to stabilize the narrative.

Or this could all be CIA and we'll never get thorough and coherent answers, it won't be exposed, and the majority of people won't realize until it becomes obvious through its effects. Sound familiar? 9/11. Nine to eleven minutes.

From the looks of it, he was using each weapon until it hit empty, then tossed it and grabbed a new weapon so that he didn't have to reload at all.

They said he has 23 weapons in the room, not necessarily was using all of them for his attack. He could have had various hand guns or other slower fire rifles with him that were never used. He obviously used a revolver to kill himself.

ALso, there are photos of a stack of maybe a dozen or so magazines near the window, so he was either reloading or at least prepared to reload if needed.

This is true. However, I wonder why those rifles were scattered all around the room like they were. He was tidy enough to stack mags, but not the weapons? Seems like he was tossing them. It reeks of suspicion, doesn't it?

Maybe he was wearing Ove-Gloves

The dude had the forethought to tape down his "suicide note", but not bar the door.

Had the foresight to buy gloves, just not the kind for firing his arsenal.

This guy might have done it alone, but there is obviously shit the authorities are not being forthcoming with and serious inconsistencies in the details that make no logical sense given the information provided to the public.

I want the think it doesn't stink like bullshit, but it kinda stinks like bullshit.

To not burn your hands and to improve your grip.

I've only seen a glove on his support hand, not trigger. If anyone remembers The Pacific it makes sense.

weren't alot of those guns legally bought? was he going to run out of there with a giant sack over his shoulder like the grinch? it took him multiple days to get everything in there

its very common within the gun community to wear gloves while shooting higher caliber weapons such as rifles.

Not with his 23 rifles or whatever. Not after shooting into a crowd for 9 minutes.

When firing a bump stock you want loose cloth gloves due to the friction. You want your finger to be slippery on the trigger and not stick.

I personally believe that the gloves were put on his hands after he was killed by the other shooter(s) in the room. Paddock is seen on the floor with his left arm at his side with a glove on that hand and there's blood on his abdomen area along with a large pool of blood underneath his head. He was shot in the abdomen first and then shot in the head as he laid on the floor? Dunno. The police said they used explosives to breach the hallway door. I don't see any evidence of that happening in the picture leaked to the public showing the front doors with police tape on it. Looks like 11 bullet holes in the door (can't see any other bullet holes but they may be hidden on the end of the door that is behind the door still in the door frame). Police said it was Paddock who fired off 200 shots at the police and one of those bullets hit the security guard. Doesn't appear to be any bullets in the good door that is in the door frame. The bullets appear to have been shot at the door handle on the left side door and that makes me think the police shot out the lock to get inside, you know, it was the other way around....it was the police who shot up the door and not Paddock (who most likely had been dead for quite some time). Did the police hit Paddock in the abdomen first and then his head? Or did Paddock kill himself or was he killed by the other shooter(s) who left through another door from these two conjoined hotel rooms (that could be why the bedroom door was locked on the inside)? Dunno, but feels like the police are lying. On the police scanner, an officer is asking for a maintenance person to come give him an elevator key. HE also says he doesn't want a "blue on blue" problem (cop shooting another cop). I think the police mistakenly shot the maintenance/security guy (they're making him out to be a hero awfully hard! And he was really, but still) because that is when LV Police stepped back and waited for the Zebras (SWAT team....they're referred to as Zebras on the police scanner audio).

What do you all think?

Well the sheriff did confirm explosive material in his vehicle, so maybe he thought he could get all his mag's in and still have time to maybe drive the van into the crowd?.

Leaving a note behind in the hotel room as is final middle finger as he planned on his remains to be in smithereens.

I've heard the "explosive" was just tannerite. Not for bomb making. For target shooting.

is there video of this??

I YouTube'd Tucker Carlson and watched his show from today cos he played the whole thing.

https://youtu.be/80V2CTgaDbo

Lomardo is suggesting he lead a double life. Oh man!

Video of this?

That's standard for an ongoing investigation.

He can't tell you because Paddock was most likely an undercover FBI agent. Hence the cameras and wire transfer. The story is that Paddock was discovered and subsequently murdered, then the attack occurred by the people that murdered him. They escaped.

Do you honestly think the FBI is going to 1. Incriminate itself and/or 2. Admit its incompetence?

No, never will either of those two things happen.

Leland Yee. Look him up. FBI sting operation. This is the same kinda setup that went bad, very bad.

What evidence points to him being undercover FBI and who are you saying murdered him and carried out the attack?

The supposed leak from an alleged member of the LVMPD stating as much.

That was one of the few things that caught my interest during the interview.

It sounded like his room was near a stairwell. I doubt we'll ever get all the information though.

Probably because they can't release all the details until the find out more. Better than reporting incorrect or incomplete details now.

Sherriff said that they have evidence that Paddock was going to try to escape . That means he thought he'd live through it . Right after wiring money to the Phillipines . Why would he think he would escape ? Because he thought he had someone helping him ......Airport is within walking distance ...Note was probably a manifesto of some kind . They'll never release it because in this political climate it would incite more violence . Sheriff was extremely sketchy when asked twice about the paper on the table

Except that makes no fucking sense. He was firing from a hotel room registered in his name.

Even if he got out, he was going to be identified rapidly.

10:15 is when the last shots were recorded via bodyworn camera. Paddock was dead at 10:15.

The first two officers didn't arrive to the 32nd floor until 10:17. The first breach of the room was 63 minutes later.

Why did he give up so quickly, if he had an escape plan?

Maybe a reaction to the reality of the evil he was committing. He shot hundreds of rounds into a crowd of innocents and he was taking like 1-2 minute breaks on between some of the bursts of fire. My guess is he was beginning to struggle with it and was fighting himself to carry on. He probably just started to feel glimpses of humanity and blew his head off. That or he saw the 2 cops in the hallway and just went for suicide.

Uh huh. A guy who just shot hundreds real quickly got an attack of conscious. To call that a stretch would be an understatement.

He did not see 2 Cops in the hallway. He killed himself 2 minutes before police reached the floor.

Quit acting like you know what happened based upon almost no evidence. Sheesh.

What I have said is evidences by bodycam footage from the LVPD and released by the sheriff himself in his post conference today.

You do realize the Texas shooter had waves of his conscious come to him. He was really broken up about it, but his brain kept pushing him towards aggression. So your first statement is a 100% contrived bullshit you THINK and was never mentioned in a press conference. You don't even have a clue of what the guys motives were to do this, as do I or anyone else at this moment. They never confirmed either that he killed himself before the police got there, but rather that the shooting had stopped. So wrong again. We don't have a time of death yet. So 100% of your post was complete and utter bullshit.

So your first statement is a 100% contrived bullshit you THINK and was never mentioned in a press conference.

My first statement was calling a wild speculation a stretch. You are obfuscating. Go away.

They never confirmed either that he killed himself before the police got there, but rather that the shooting had stopped. So wrong again. We don't have a time of death yet.

You are quite the clown. The exact minute of his death is not even part of the discussion. What is important is when he shot himself. You are spreading disinfo and obfuscating the actual discussion. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You should be ashamed of yourself for claiming an opinion not even based in fact, and wrong information you made up about the shooters death. It wasn't discussion. You were stating it as fact and chastising another redditor at the same time. And to try and put it back on me? lol. Someone has a guilty conscience and can't handle someone calling them out on their bullshit.

You're Misrepresenting my posts. You are a Liar.

Sorry my facts and reason are disturbing your version of reality.

Quit acting like you know what happened based upon almost no evidence. Sheesh.

Well he fired on a security guard so he already knew the jig was up. His position was known to hotel security. He wasn't getting out at that point, unless his plan was to battle his way out of the hotel without any body armor.

Also, plenty of mass shooters end up killing themselves earlier than they planned to, even before the police arrive sometimes.

He wasn't getting out at that point, unless his plan was to battle his way out of the hotel without any body armor.

i would like to hear exactly what evidence the sheriff has that he planned an escape.

Nobody knows what killing is gonna feel like until they do it. Not even edgelords. They live in fantasies and then reality ends up different.

i don't think that's fair. well, maybe. i'm sure there are hundreds of dishonest folk swarming this subreddit. i'm just asking questions, not presenting answers.

Right. It’s not like he didn’t have guns and stuff.

It is possible he was neutralized by a counter-sniper from the police department. If this occurred at 10:15 it would explain why the first officers arrived to the room at 10:17. Also, if they knew he was dead inside the room they would have had the luxury of taking their time breaching the door. If the shooter was still actively firing when the first responding officers reached the door, this extreme situation would have called for an immediate attempt to breach the door.

It is possible he was neutralized by a counter-sniper from the police department.

i haven't seen any evidence for this this. what we're being shown indicates that he shot himself in the mouth, and the last shots were fired at 10:15.

If this occurred at 10:15 it would explain why the first officers arrived to the room at 10:17

the first officers reached the floor at 10:17, not the room.

Also, if they knew he was dead inside the room they would have had the luxury of taking their time breaching the door.

this sentiment was echo'd by the sheriff. because the shooting stopped at 10:15, the first two officers didn't do much until the next cadre arrived, on the other end of the hallway, several minutes later.

If the shooter was still actively firing when the first responding officers reached the door, this extreme situation would have called for an immediate attempt to breach the door.

perhaps, but that would be officer's discretion. every PD will have their own training and guidelines, but typically, active shooter scenarios call for a clearing approach. truth be told, 60 minutes to clear a hotel hallway seems pretty quick, but i've never been to that hotel, so i don't really know.

Is it possoble it was an accomplice that sniped him from another building to stop him from talking in case he got caught alive?

was probably dead long before first shot fired

Perhaps he had another ID he planned on using. I don't know how doable that is though.

Or maybe he had plans for the day after because that was not supposed to be what happened. Or maybe he was indecisive and was on the fence.

another ID doesn't stop people from having good information on who he is, what he looks like, where and who he sent money to, etc....

it doesn't make sense.

Oh I agree. It definitely doesn't make much sense unless he didn't do all this. Or unless he thought he might chicken out.

Maybe they found a parachute in the room.

I heard he was using his GF's identification...

I thought he did it in Marilou's name and that's why she was a person of interest initially?

Is there evidence that is was in his name? They would know who the shooter was right when the security guard said the room number to the police. His name didn’t come out until far after the shooting.

They could have said it was in his name, just to curb conspiracy.

It makes a LOT of sense when you look at it from the perspective of Stephen Paddock being a false identity.

All of the “no online presence” stuff makes a lot more sense in that context as well.

Yes good point, my thinking is that he knew he would be indentified but by the time they identified him he would have been on the flight out of the country.

He may have been attempting to create a huge distraction to get eyes off the casino. According to some information that I read today (sorry no source) he had planned to blow up a gas supply/container yard that was about 1100' from the hotel.

Sheriff was extremely sketchy when asked twice about the paper on the table Again, you see what you want to see.

Here is what I saw

The reporter prompted him previously saying (I'm paraphraseing) "Was the yellow paper a suicide note?" and he didn't know what the reporter was talking about then was like, oh ya that, yes certainly not. later question asked again he referred to it as the "yellow note".

In an interview with his younger brother, he had mentioned that Paddock had his flying license.

It's idiot investigators. They saw the cameras and assumed he had a plan to escape and needed to make sure his route of departure was clean. This is typical police nonsense. They never think outside of the box.

So what do people legitimately think this is instead of a mentally unhinged person?

At this point it's pretty difficult to not start connecting some of the spook dots.

His plane, his girlfriend, the money, the note... There are a lot of unexplained variables here.

the live stream? who was he live streaming to?

Wasn't it just a video feed so he could see if anyone was coming?

Over 20 modified guns, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and enough explosives to destroy a house.

The sheriff made it pretty clear that one person organizing and executing this is unheard of.

Does that connect any dots for you?

[interrupting] "So it's AMAAAZING that the security guard didn't sustain other injuries..." what is the name and/or is their any info on the security guard? Maybe he was escaping the crime and took a cap to secure himself as innocent??? https://youtu.be/89ZD-lxKMDY?t=3h3m12s

Didnt the security guard die?

No

His name was released as Jesus Campos - probably one of 500 with that name on his street in Vegas.

And hard for someone to get shot and them not to check the hotel payroll.

Agreed that the security guards story doesn’t jive well with me. It most likely is just incomplete due to adrenaline and misremembering, these instances can be chaos, but the more I listen to his story the more I don’t like it.

If you go to the go fund me, the initial description is “Jesus Campos was shot on RANDOM duty”

Aka, he walked by the room, the shooter saw him on the “cameras??” He set, and shot at him. He freaked out and killed himself.

Why do I have the feeling it was the Sheriff that leaked the photos?

lol i like that theory

Do you think it has to do with political affiliation?

Personally I don't think it does because the concert he was originally going to shoot up was one the Lorde and Chance the Rapper. He settled for the country concert. So I don't think he cared about who he was killing just for whatever reason wanted to kill as many people as possible.

How do you know he was originally going to shoot up another concert?

The same way that you don't know he was going to shoot up another concert. Speculation. He had booked another hotel room during the Life Is Beautiful concert, where Chance and Lorde were performing and I believe attempted to book a hotel for Lollapalooza too?

Agreed, and he didn't shoot up the one that he booked.

Whenever I hear "I cannot recall" or "I am unaware..." big red flag goes up.

It's worded so they can't get pressed in court. Very clever and subtle.

It's likely union attorneys train all LEO to say.

Sunday he was asked if Paddock worked for a federal agency and he said "I cannot confirm or deny that" he was giving basic yes/no answers before and after that question.

Leaving a breadcrumb.

!!! I am not disagreeing with you !!! But, as a person with a bad memory, I so find what you said kinda sad :(

In all fairness, he might not have been able to recall the yellow note in question because there was no yellow note. It was actually pink.

There definitely does seem to be an agenda on here to proclaim it not a suicide note even though the way it is pictured, to me, a suicide note is the most likely scenario by a lot. Expect a lot of pushback and hostitliy

Sheriff said they have reason to believe that he intended to make it out alive

Yeah, up until the point where he decided to kill himself... right next to where the pen and the note with the paperweight on it were located.

That was probably the backup plan and he could have written the note in advance in case he had no way out.

I don't really see any other outcomes he could have expected. Either he managed to escape or he had to kill himself.

Parachute out the window

Maybe even a zip line or a helicopter could fly to his window and he'd hop in

Oooh or he could have an high altitude air ballon extraction like in the The Dark Knight when Batman goes to China...

Seriously, isnt 37 stories plenty high enough to jump with a chute?

What makes you think it's a suicide note?

There's nothing unusual or suspicious about a notepad sitting on a table in a hotel room...

I agree it's concerning. But what could be on it that they'd want to hide? I'm not asking as a doubter, it's absolutely concerning. I'm just curious as to your thoughts.

Unreleased names

Okay. For the sake of Socratic Questioning, why would he give other names?

Twitter Thread linking Paddock's sneakiness and accounting background to his gambling habits and their likely implications on his finances.

That guy sounds like an idiot

Okay so I'm just a regular guy. At first I genuinely thought this was a rich old white guy who just went nuts and decided to do something crazy. But I started digging into it and things just don't add up!

This video CLEARLY shows shots being fired from two different barrels. "Shot A" has a distinct cracking sound whereas "Shot B" is more bass-based https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IolTe6Q6Qg4

Then there's also the taxi driver video that also has clear audio of two different barrels being shot. There's really no question in my mind that there was a second shooter.

And here comes the icing on the cake. On Oct 27, he had inroom dining service delivered to his room. The receipt shows "Guests: 2". Quite curious https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bI47EEFZ8v8

All of this is just way too fishy.

I thought this was debunked because he checked in on the 28th or something?

The official version from the media/cops is that he checked in on the 28th. But some are saying that's false and he actually checked in on the 25th. https://mobile.twitter.com/LauraLoomer/status/915371042121687042

One of the Marines at the concert doesn't think it was a 240B but rather some modded AR.

Another thing to think about is the door. It was found ajar but SWAT still blew it open? Weird.

Ajar could mean it was bolted so the door was basically still closed but you could just open it right up. Swat isn’t just going to push the door open when they don’t know what’s on the other side just because it’s unlocked. That’s not unusual in the slightest.

Really good point. SWAT isn't military Special Forces so they were probably being overly cautious (hence why they also took 20-30min to even enter the room after arriving on the 32nd floor).

Still, that's another angle to consider. Why was the door ajar in the first place?

Check the updated timeline, it took basically a full hour according to the latest presser from reaching the floor, to clearing all the rooms down to the suspect's room.

If you listen to the police video of the night they were trying to make an explosion to "get a reaction" from the shooter to see if he's still in the room or if he moved somewhere else.

That explains it. Thanks! Now I just wonder why it was ajar in the first place. Hmm.

One of those comments has a pic of Mb with 6 wibdows broken.

I figured itd be debunked bc who the fuck keeps a random food receipt from a seemingly randon guy of a normal looking order for 3 days, plus the original post isnt even in english

casinos have mass computers with all the data on rooms, including guests, room service, ect. if he was there for that long, and hadn't checked out, someone working there can pull up the room and reprint the receipt. since the guest is staying there and not a random person dining at say applebee's, it's fairly easy to do. Source: i worked there for years.

As to your first point about the gunfire sounds, check out the following video. Being shot by someone at a decent range results in 2 sounds, the first being the bullet breaking the sound barrier, and the second being the sound of the gunshot itself.

I understand how gunfire sounds. I don't need some book nerd (dude in the video you're referencing) to explain it.

The shots are very clearly coming from two different barrels. Sometimes they're firing at the same time. It's possible he was rambo'ing it but very unlikely. Some weird second shooter shit going on here

Dude's a "book nerd" because you don't like what he's presenting, even though he actually put in the work and went out to the range to prove it.

Whatever bro, believe what you want, you're clearly invested in this being a conspiracy.

Not really.. a SAW sounds way different in person than from the videos I've seen. Same for a 240B. A 240B will tear through the night and it's a scary fucking sound. Now let's talk about being shot at. Bullets don't pop. It's more like a "whizzing" or "bee" sound that it means as it goes over your head.

Audio/mics don't capture the sound well. If you hear gunshots and whizz/bee noise around you then you're in deep shit.

I don't think it's a conspiracy. I think the cops know more but are scared to release the info for fear of not capturing the guy or causing panic.

I can confirm bullets make a bumble bee sound when passing over your head.

bullets cracking the sound barrier do

Bullets don't pop. It's more like a "whizzing" or "bee" sound that it means as it goes over your head.

He actually addresses that in the video, if you had bothered watching it you'd know.

if it's two or more people doing the deed. Then it's a conspiracy.

Pooper seems suspicious. All the eyewitness videos I've seen clearly have several firearms going off (the echos/air pops are not consistent, they overlap/fade out at different times each volley).

Most of the youtube accounts commenting this sort of thing were accounts that had no subscribers, no activity, nothing. Shill alert

Yes I thought the same. The funny thing is that all the shills push the exact same narrative. "Supersonic/sound barrier" bs. I think it's plainfilly obvious that there was a second shooter. This Steven guy didn't have enough training to be firing two rifles at once. That's not even a thing.

I think the crack sound is the bullet passing by..

https://youtu.be/JMq4wiIOKGE

If you start the video on 2:30 you can heard the sounds that you are describing

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WtQ-eLhb2Ak

Bullets passing overhead or close by sound like a whizz or bee noise.

Bullets cracking is just hitting something or being fired.

https://palsolidarity.org/2002/12/cracking-bullets-whizzing-bullets/

"Sometimes there is a buzzing whizz if the bullet passes close enough. If the bullet hits the ground nearby, there is a sharp splat of exploding dirt. And on occasion their is a sharp little crack, which, I learned today, is a tiny sonic boom as the bullet passes extremely close at a speed faster than sound. “When you hear the whizz, the bullet is in your area. When you hear the crack, the bullet has passed very close indeed.” "

The cracking and bass sound was because he was sweeping the crowd back and forth . Further from the camera is the bass closer is the cracking

Ok, so what you are hearing with shot A is the actual rounds hitting first. Bullets crack when they hit a surface. Shot B is the actual sound from the muzzle of the gun at the hotel window itself. That is why you hear the cracks first and then the thuds, because .223 rounds travel faster than the speed of sound, and so do most calibers.

If you hear a crack, it means somebody or something (dirt and ground included) near you was hit. Emphasis here is on being near it, close to where the fire happened..

But if you aren't that close, it just sounds like regular gunfire. The sound of gunfire depends on the barrel. A 5.56 from a SAW sounds wayyy different than a 5.56 from a M4A1. Just an example.

What I'm saying here is that two barrels were being fired at the same time.

close to where the fire happened.

Cracking doesn't mean the gun is near, just that the rounds are hitting nearby.

Yes, that's correct. It's what I meant but I can see how it can be read the other way

Ah yes, no problem

This is good, but it may have also been that he was using two different types of gun at the same time, or alternating, he did have many weapons in the place

You have no clue how guns work and should stop spreading misinformation.

This video CLEARLY shows shots being fired from two different barrels. "Shot A" has a distinct cracking sound whereas "Shot B" is more bass-based https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IolTe6Q6Qg4

One is the sound of the round impact/sonic boom which arrives before the sound of the round being fired. The other lower pitch sound is the sound of the round being fired. Basic physics/acoustics.

Taxi driver video was either the same or echoes. Muffled shots with no echoes are shots being fired from a different window or into the hotel hallway.

Yeah watched quite a few videos. First (main gun) seems like a M240, and has the fire rate and sound to match. There's at least one other gun that rings out, much different tone, ROF, and inconsistent (so can't be echo). Police scanners all called out multiple shooters, and victims all seem to be reporting numerous shooters.

I feel the reason the room service said 2 guests was so he had enough plates to hide the camera on the food cart.

Out of curiosity, why do we automatically assume 100% that this pad of paper was a suicide note? We can't see dick from the photo. It's just a pad of paper, there are these in literally EVER SINGLE HOTEL ROOM you stay in... Just sayin.

I would guess that because there's a roll of tape perfectly placed on just the edge to hold it in place. And to me it looks like there's writing on it. I think if there IS writing, history in suicide cases would show that the most common thing it could be is a suicide note.

I give you that, but the certainty of this is what has me confused. Couldn't it as easily just say, "haha, fuck you"?

Why was Paddock live filming with a baby monitor?

The cameras weren't for recording, they were just video feed so he could see what was going on in the halls outside. He had no reason to record it.

According to ABC: "One official said Paddock had a camera mounted in the room, apparently to record himself."

Perhaps he was live streaming for someone to make sure he went through with it, personal theory

Whose GF? "Marilou Danley" is not in this article.

No...google has been censoring that info. But lawyer named Matt is in the article. He just made a public statement for the GF.

I see, Matthew Lombard previously represented Chicana Service Action Group during their fraud prosecution. From this same group came "Gloria Molina, national campaign co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign". Might be worth looking into this lawyer more to see if he has a history of being involved in high profile cases or politically connected cases.

"Another bedroom door was found locked so we had to breach that door." Wait what? You can lock a bedroom door from the outside now?

Lock it and close it behind you?

Then who was in the room?

The official timeline at 11:20 clearly states the suspect was down within the main "living space".

Question...have you ever used a door before?

Right?! What the hell is going on there? Does that bedroom have a door out by any chance?

It was a suite with multiple rooms. Very plausible he was in one of the bedrooms with the door locked.

No the sheriff said no one was in that locked bedroom.

That's how almost all hotel doors work. That's why they give you multiple keycards so you don't get trapped outside of your room.

This is the most disturbing fact that has come out. The regular room connecting to the suite (second bedroom) was locked, and they had to breach it. So, he either locked it and had to go through the hallway to get back to the suite after the shooting ended, or, it wasn't him who locked it.

Maybe someone else was in there and used a parachute to jump out the window after they took out the shooter

And now they're saying the video cameras he had set up "weren't recording". This is so blatant. They really believe we are morons

They could have been livestreaming with no need to actually record on any sort of hard drive or storage device

I wondered if it was on twitch.tv when I heard there were cameras. Would not suprise me in the least.

"50 more subs and i will shoot the .50 cal!" Kappa

But to say something isn’t recording infers there was no video being taken not that it was live and not being saved. If they say no recording they’re going against what was said earlier about broadcasting out of country

If they say no recording they’re going against what was said earlier about broadcasting out of country

Did they actually say that or was it just a rumor?

That I’m unsure of I read in a few places but I’m honestly not 100% certain and not currently able to look around

no. no it does't. It implies it was feeding into a monitor live, and not being recorded

Could have been video baby monitors, that would be easiest.

Why would he need to record? All he wanted to was eyes on his dooor and hallway, why would he need to record it?

Killers and criminals have documented their work plenty of times in the past. I can definitely see a psychopath wanting to document a killing spree especially if he thought he might make an escape somehow. Unstable people do weird unexplainable things and I don't think the desire for a psychopath to record their killing spree is any exception

Fair enough, but I don't see that as a reason to think it's odd he was just using cameras as a tool just to keep an eye out.

Most definitely a strong possibility

I agree. Its too convenient to say "sorry, they weren't recording...nothing to see there". Why would the shooter go to all that trouble and forget to turn the video cameras on?

Cause they weren't those kind of cameras.

what about the camera on the tripod that was directed toward the blown out window? There would be no purpose for that camera if not to record the event.

now if that's true and there was one pointed at the window that's weird it wouldn't be recording because there would be no point in feeding that into a monitior

Maybe it was a wireless camera that was setup to stream to a different room where it was being recorded

because they were feeding into a monitor so he could watch the hallways? What does he need to record that for? he can't rewatch something when he's dead

Because he was streaming to himself with plans to end his life when they attempted entry?

Why would he need to record that?

I'm not disregarding the idea that he is streaming a video feed. Probably a better theory than mine but as I said to someone else "Killers and criminals have documented their work plenty of times in the past. I can definitely see a psychopath wanting to document a killing spree especially if he thought he might make an escape somehow. Unstable people do weird unexplainable things and I don't think the desire for a psychopath to record their killing spree is any exception"

"And now they're saying the video cameras he had set up "weren't recording". This is so blatant. They really believe we are morons"

You're not disregarding the idea he was streaming? Sure seemed like it. Sure seemed like you made an assertion that it was completely blatant he was recording and that if anyone didn't agree with you then they're a moron.

Skepticism is exactly what I'm practicing. There's absolutely no reason to discount the theory that he was recording. I haven't heard the authorities say he was using the cameras as surveillance. There's no reason to discount either theory. But for them to just say "cameras weren't recording" with no more info? Ya they're treating us like morons

You asserted the cameras were recording and to think otherwise would make you a moron. That's not skepticism.

They aren't treating us like morons, they're treating us like the PUBLIC in an ongoing criminal investigation.

You're acting entitled to information because you for some reason think all the details of this investigation should be made public to YOU.

Where did this delusion come from?

You insinuating the world doesn't revolve around me is a blow to my ego.

I was using you as an example, the same point goes for everyone else.

I'm not sure where all of this entitlement to evidence in an ongoing investigation came from.

Never question the logic of the millennial

Don't have anything actually relevant to the discussion to say?

Better go with some sort of ad hominem.

This conversation will never end otherwise....

Oh sorry. Didn't review it myself. It was just posted on their official YouTube page. Thought it would be all of it

Haven't seen the video - so don't know exactly what he said - but isn't the explanation for this that if there was a suicide note or manifesto, this would be a noteworthy piece of information? Whereas a blank notepad is not...

In this context it makes perfect sense to barely remember such an unimportant detail (blank notepad) he wouldn't have deliberately committed to memory, while also being able to confidently say whatever he was being asked about wasn't a suicide note.

In the spirit of this sub: sure, it could all be a conspiracy that he's covering up. Point I'm making is, it doesn't have to be a conspiracy for his behavior here to make sense. I could see myself saying something similar e.g. "What note? I don't remember any note. Oooohhhhhh right, that... Yeah, that wasn't a suicide note"

Check 9.43 on the video of the Statement, the sheriff clearly says 'this is why there was some delay in reaching the suspects'. Not suspect, SUSPECTS. Clear slip up made by an exhausted man who is struggling to keep a singular story line going. Oops

Everything depends on the hotel surveillance footage. It will show how the weapons were brought into the room and whether there was more than one shooter. If they say the hall and elevator camera footage is not available, then it's a cover-up. Words mean nothing.

I'm pretty sure there are no cameras in the hotel hallways. Elevator/lobby yeah there has to be footage from those though.

This is Vegas, there are cameras in the hallways.

In EVERY hallway.

Timeline.

So he had an escape route right?

Then why did he give up and kill himself so quickly? 2 minutes before the first officers even arrived on the floor (not even his room -- that took another 61 minutes)?

I think the security guard was the whole wrench thrown into the plan.

Alleged security guard.

Rewatching this insane PC..

Reporter: "Have you found a motive?"

Sheriff: "Globally, no.."

Wtf does that mean?

Meaning they may have a few running ideas, but overall no clear motive

I see I see.. I was wondering why he would need a global motive and not just one to stir up shit in the US.

Globally means more than just world-wide.

lol yeah I know what it means but why would he need one?

if there's a " local " or US motive I'd like to know

They mentioned something about having a bunch of global contacts they were looking into as well.

The sheriff seems shaken, to say the least. That FBI agent is a little bitch, to say the least.

Best what? Actor? Or acting student

I do not study acting but I thought the same thing.

This. I’m a professional poker player and studying peoples infrequencies is half the job.

  1. That FBI guy is literally staring at the sherriff as if he’s studying his every word and move. Almost like there’s tension between the two.

  2. The sherriff is nervous as fuck. Obviously exhausted. You can tell so much is being held back. The sherriff is a good man but a terrible liar IMO.

Well I study the blade, and I'm as full of shit as you..

Well, if it wasn't important and completely didn't matter would you really remember a note that was worthless when you are processing so much information?

The single piece of evidence that could explain motive (a suicide note) and he doesn't recall???

OP please put link in original post.

Any link to the Q&A part? The YouTube videos being linked end right before the Q&A

So this may take some mental gymnastics but bear with me

The sheriff has most likely been up the better part of 3 days, taking small cat naps in his office when afforded a few minutes of down time, now he knows there was no note or anything found at the scene, so when asked about the note he says "what note?" bc he needs more clarification of what they mean, so they clarify they mean the piece of paper from the leaked photos, so he says it isnt a suicide note because it wasnt and they paid literally no more attention to the paper after they noticed it wasnt a suicide note

That doesn't take much mental gymnastics to believe.

To add to your points, not only is he mentally and physically exhausted, he's never dealt with anything like this ever.

I used mental gymnastics because people here cant see the forest for the trees, can whole heartedly believe ISIS was just walking into a Vegas casino for a gun deal but refuse to even consider some dude just snapped and wanted to go down in infamy before he offed himself

The ISIS explanation is far more believable than a millionaire suddenly snapping, bringing 23 guns up to his room, thousands of rounds of ammo, and planning to escape and create a bomb with the tannerite and ammonium nitrate in his van.

Really? So lets break this down a little bit, so you believe a lone undercover FBI agent met with ISIS, something goes wrong and he gets killed and A.) No other FBI agents are around to break in and stop it? Or kill the guy who killed their agent?

Moving on from that, the next step after they seemingly murder an FBI agent and get away with it would be to take the cache of illegal weapons they were coming to buy and hightailing it out of there right? Nope for some reason they decide to not only hang around the hotel room but use those weapons and then leave them all still in the hotel room and escape somehow without being seen

Totally right thats more plausible than someone snapping, losing their minds and thinking "hey I got all these guns I never get to use" and planning something that will not onlt result in them dying but their name going down in infamy, how silly of me not to believe that

I think "snapped" is the wrong term. The prevailing theory in my eyes is that he took a while to plan this out. I'd hardly say that this constitutes "snapping".

Well yes obviously it was planned, when i say snapped I dont mean that he went out and did something immediately, just something set him off to do this

Ammonium nitrate is already in tannerite. Its ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder afaik

The real question is why are 9 out of every 10 people that "snap" americans?

I think the FBI is also shutting him out on parts of the investigation and he's frustrated.

Ohh absolutely

lots of comments but in case it hasn't been posted here's the press conference today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=603C9zCbOu4

Number one indicator that something fishy is afoot is the bot driven showerthought on r/all yesterday about how conspiracies are for dumb people. What’re they trying to preempt?

You think it's odd that people are making mention of conspiracy theorists, when after this mass shooting everyone has their own conspiracy as to what happened?

Way to twist my words to fit the bill!

John Washington Rogers jr. (friend of Obama) was an owner of the plane paddock flew. That plane is now owned by Volant LLC, a department of defense.

Literally first thing on his wiki (active in Obama 2008 campaign). He led the inauguration committee. Volant LLC is a department of defense sector. So his plane has been under government control for 3+ years... even if the DOD portion has been ruled out there is still the obama connection.

http://ussanews.com/News1/2017/10/04/was-a-plane-registered-in-stephen-paddocks-name-scrubbed-from-faa-database-that-is-now-registered-to-a-defense-contractor/

Your ussanews article is confused about how plane registrations work.

Volant LLC and Volant Associates are not the same thing.

Please stop spreading bullshit information.

https://twitter.com/MikeTokes/status/915788322349264896

Then please explain why John W Rogers, the man who led Obamas inauguration, isn't something to be concerned about.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_W._Rogers_Jr.

I'm telling you that your ussnews link info is all wrong and there's no connection to John W Rogers and Obama.

http://flightaware.com/resources/registration/N5343M

UPDATE: FlightAware.com did finally respond to me via email. Here’s their reply (Notice that they are laying this all on the FAA).

"Hello Tim,

It was my pleasure to speak with you earlier.

I have done some investigation and it would appear that it’s just the method of keeping records and how they are displayed that is causing the discrepancy between FlightAware and the FAA. Although to confirm our data is in fact sourced from an FAA data feed.

The FAA does not include the most recent registered owner. If the tail number changed and no one else registers that tail, the FAA will not show the most recent registered owner. http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=N5343M

FlightAware will show the registration for the most recent flight for that tail number and display the historical record of ownership.

For future reference, if you need press related info we now have a decided member of staff who will handle any media enquires. You can find contact details and information on this page: https://flightaware.com/news/ Begards Nicole Pilbeam"

The plane was registered to John Warren Rogers.

  • John Washington Rogers (Obama supporter/investor) NOT related to the plane in question.
  • John Warren Rogers (Doctor) IS related to the plane in question.

This is all a moot point though, since it's not the same plane. The tail numbers are interchangeable. The tail number chosen by Warren Rogers matches his Air Force ID. He chose it for sentimental reasons and it just happened to match the tail number of the plane (now inactive) previously owned by the shooter.

I spent a total of about 4 hours looking into this yesterday and today. It's a dead end.

Thanks for the clarification. Thought we had something here

I did too! Would have been a big piece of the puzzle.

Nice try Agent

Thank you.

I fucking love body language. The tall sad looking FBI agent kept his hands out front and twiddled his thumbs the entire time up to the exact moment when the sheriff was asked about accomplices, where he then shot up straight and put his hands behind his back while the question was responded to. Soon as it was over and next question came, he returned to twiddling thumbs. This guy was uncomfortable with the accomplice question. But that's small potatoes. The juiciest part is the moment the yellow note is mentioned. This makes both the sheriff and FBI agent visibly uncomfortable as they nearly simultaneously reached their hands up to rub their eyebrows, a classic self-comfort move. These dudes fuckin know something wrong is going on with that note.

Marilou Danley is an obvious suspect, that's why they refuse to answer any questions about her. When they said they don't have her in custody it's because they want to track her movements.

What if the note was TO him not from him

An interesting theory.

Directions for what to do?

The note was about him.

What's the difference between "loving" something and "fucking loving" something? Does it just have to do with the lack of intelligence of the person talking or writing?

Who shit in your cheerios?

Hey, I'm just asking questions.

Maybe ask relevant questions and stop being a douche.

Yep, dude. Youre totally right. When someone says they "fucking love" something, it means they have a, uh, lack of intelligence. Yeah, that's it.

The fact this stream of thoughts went though your head and then your decided it was a good idea to make a comment about it on a public forum shows what a genius you must be.

What video are you talking about? I want to make sure I am looking at the same thing so I can see for myself just what you're pointing out. Sounds like a really fucking interesting interview I must watch.

i believe this interview is what he references. start at around 24 minutes for the question about the note. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/las-vegas-sheriff-says-stephen-paddock-had-to-have-help-at-some-point/

Thank you sir.

Great analysis!

Any link to video yet

Are you guys insinulating the whole thing was fake? Because I know one of the victims

Hoax = Didn't happen. False flag = the story being told is false.

I don't see anyone insinuating the whole thing was fake, this is just a way to discredit people asking questions: by lumping them in that category.

I was just asking

And I was just answering.

No, you accused me of trying to discredit people

Which was a part of my answer.

You're not even making sense.

I wasn't trying to discredit anyone, I was just asking because you guys are all making weird comments implying this was a hoax in some way. Don't accuse me of trying to discredit you because I'm asking for clairifcation of your vague insinuations.

I was just asking because you guys are all making weird comments implying this was a hoax in some way.

Don't lump me in. You're doing it again. I haven't made any comments like that.

Don't accuse me of trying to discredit you because I'm asking for clairifcation of your vague insinuations.

Don't accuse me of making vague insinuations. I have said nothing about what I believe in the situation. I was clarifying the difference between a Hoax and a Flase flag.

Take your own advice and get some better reading comprehension because that is what you did

I didn't give advice to get better reading comprehension.

You have reading comprehension problems.

I had a good laugh, thank you.

this is just a way to discredit people asking questions: by lumping them in that category.

Who are you talking about here then?

Anyone who lumps people into a category for the sake of discrediting them.

I'm really curious, did you facepalm when you realized your fuck-up in that last post?

You have reading comprehension problems.

Take your own advice and get some better reading comprehension

Gave me a good chuckle.

I was the one who made the comment and then you replied to me and told me that doing that is a way to discredit people. You were talking about me. This is why I said your reading comprehension is poor. You're so arrogant at the same time stupid that it's painful. People like you are the worst. I'm not surprised you're in this subreddit (I don't usually go here) Go back and re-read the initial first comments. I'm not trying to be a dick but if someone is doing X, and you reply and say "anyone doing X is Y" then you're essentially saying that person is doing Y. It's not complicated.

doing that is a way to discredit people. You were talking about me.

I was talking about people that do it to discredit. If that wasn't your intention, I wasn't talking about you.

You're so arrogant at the same time stupid that it's painful.

Like when you told me to take my own advice that I never gave?

Well then why reply to my comment saying that? This is what I'm talking about reading comprehension. That's what the implication is, and you shouldn't be insulting my reading comprehension for following proper context cues.

You told someone else in another comment that they had poor reading comprehension. I replied "Ironic..." to it.

Lol why even bother downvoting my comment? It's 1 comment karma and I don't give a shit about reddit karma.

Well then why reply to my comment saying that?

I inserted my opinion into an answer about what a hoax is.

You told someone else in another comment that they had poor reading comprehension. I replied "Ironic..." to it.

Then you replied to me saying "Take your own advice and get some better reading comprehension ". Yet, I didn't give advice. Therefore you have poor reading comprehension, because you thought my statement about his lack of skill was advice to improve that skill.

I forgot exactly what you said because I read the comment the day before. That doesn't mean I have poor reading comprehension. I think you need to look up what exactly "reading comprehension" is. Lol you're still downvoting my comments, how mad are you right now? Please, no, I need that 1+ comment karma!

HAAHAHAHAHAHHA

Reading comprehension is the ability to read text, process it, and understand its meaning.

So you failed to process my statement, and understand it's meaning. Maybe you should have looked up what reading comprehension was before you made your second idiotic statement.

Please give me more, this is hilarious.

No I didn't, I failed to remember exactly what your comment said a day later. I knew you had insulted someone's reading comprehension. I figured it was telling him he needs to improve his reading comprehension rather than just telling him his reading comprehension is poor. Come on man aren't you supposed to be like super smart?

You failed to process it correctly. Therefore your reading comprehension is poor.

Nope, I processed it fine, I just didn't remember the exact wording 24 hours later which is normal. You really are so pathetic.

Process: a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.

Which in this case is storing/remembering information. Which you failed to do. You might want to google the meaning of words before you make a fool of yourself. It seems to happen almost every response.

Reading comprehension and memory are two totally different things. Sorry you're too much of an idiot to understand that.

I'm not talking about JUST memory. I'm talking about comprehension, which INCLUDES memory.

I realize it's ironic to try to explain reading comprehension to someone with poor reading comprehension. But you've got to at least try. I'm genuinely trying to educate you, and you're just throwing insults like a child.

You have issues.

Sit back and consider for a moment: who is more likely to be correct? The guy putting time and effort into providing evidence for his statements? Or the person throwing childish insults around and doing the equivalent of (puts fingers in ears) LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA

Oh there are plenty of people suggesting that, sadly.

Not at all. Those people died. My wife works for America Airlines Cargo and has been on the phone for hours at a time the past few days making sure bodies got where they need to be. It’s all the stuff surrounding this event that is fishy.

Who gives a fuck about this bullshit!

The REAL question is whether that’s a pen or an anal probe!

Focus people!!

http://i.imgs.fyi/img/1it6.png

"Yellow"? It's pink...

FBI dude sketchy as fuck.

Or maybe it was just not anything important and he couldnt recall and aöso could say it wasnt a suicide note?

Hiw about you people just fucking wait. Thry cant give all info out straight away

Did you believe you have ever gotten all the info no matter how long you wait?

Still waiting on that kennedy info...

Official Timeline according to Sherrif Lombardo's press conference (YT):

all times local (PDT)

1005 pm - First shots fired by the suspect. This was seen on closed-circuit television from the concert venue.
1012 pm - First two officers arrive on 31st floor and announce gunfire is coming from directly above them.
1015 pm - Last shots are fired from the suspect per body worn camera.
1017 pm - First two officers arrive on 32nd floor.
1018 pm - Security officer tells Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers he was shot and gives them exact location of suspect's room.
1026-1030 pm - Eight additional officers arrive on 32nd floor and begin to move systematically down the hallway, clearing every room and looking for any injured people. They move this way because they no longer hear the gunfire of an active shooter situation.
1055 pm - Eight officers arrive in stairwell at the opposite end of the hallway nearest to the suspect's room.
1120 pm - The first breach was set off and officers entered the room. They observed the suspect down on the ground and also saw a second door that could not be accessed from their position.
1127 pm - The second breach was set off, allowing officers to access the second room. Officers quickly realized there was no one else in the rooms and announced over the radio that the suspect was down.

So, he fired for ~10minutes.
And stopped before any cops arrived on the 32nd floor.
Cops arrived after security guard was at door, got fired at and wounded.

...

So we just gonna ignore that the security guard/cops/swat didnt hear Paddocks LOUD revolver shot when he allegedly killed himself? Im sure anyone in the hallway would hear that bang. Could determine if he really did kill himself or if he was an already dead patsy.

pretty sure when you're shot in the hip and you're adrenaline is pumping you're not fully aware of everything around you

there's definitely some fishy shit about that security guard, but i don't think that's much of a lead

The, I assume FBI agent, to his left during the press conference kept staring at him like he was making sure he said everything he was told to say. I found this interesting.

Watch when he nods. It's like he's nodding to the coached checklist of talking points.

I noticed that too. Lombardo seemed tethered.

There aren't a few things that are strange about what happened, but this is not one of them. What the sheriff said simply means he remembers that it wasn't a suicide note, but doesn't remember exactly what it was about. Honestly it's probably just an "I love you" to his girlfriend or something insignificant.

Something that's actually strange is his room service receipt that listed him ordering two meals for two guests. Then, 45 minutes before the concert, a Hispanic woman was escorted out by security, because she was going up to people and telling them they were all going to die that night. Also, there's a video circling around from inside the casino before the shooting started, showing men in military combat uniforms walking through the lobby.

Got a link for that video?

This is the interview with the witness about the prior warning - at 5:35.

This talks about the room service receipt.

I can't find the lobby video right now show the soldiers.

Something that's actually strange is his room service receipt that listed him ordering two meals for two guests.

Couldn't that be based on it being a 2 person suite? Unless he said on the phone they wouldn't have a way of knowing anyway

Suites aren't usually labeled by how many people they are intended for. A two bed suite could have 4 guests in it.

right, but unless he said "i have a room service order for 2 people" where would that number come from? either the type of room or just a guess to put in the POS system. It wasn't like there were two entrees even.

Two sodas ? Enough food for two?

Is he gonna call room service every time he wants a new soda? He also got a liter of water. I just can't imagine room service soup is a meal, its probably one potato chunk in a thimble

I was saying they put 2 on the receipt because 2 sodas , burger for one, bagel and soup for the other. That's how I would think as staff...

Oh yeah sure I think i put that in my original comment and deleted it. Point was for whatever reason, the staff put the 2 in there, unless he announced it, since it wasn't like he was at a table or something where they could see him. (or like, "i need two sets of silverware" since it wasn't 2 full meals)

I work in a hotel and from my experience, usually the number of guests is based on how many people initially checked in and/or how many people the reservation was said to be for when it was created. It has nothing to do with what you tell them when you order. So, he may have just been eating alone, but he either checked in with someone or told them he was staying with someone when he reserved the room. Possible he could have said he was staying there with his girlfriend, but it should be looked into whether or not he checked in with someone.

I'm a pretty skeptical person and not prone to believing conspiracy theories, but the crime scene photos look staged.

As far as the planning to escape stuff goes... they’ve mentioned all of these weapons but maybe he had lots of cash/food or something else stockpiled in his car?

Holy fuck this sub is retarded sometimes.

Strange how they cut the Q&A portion out of their official YouTube upload, while they have kept them in previously.

Any video of the q&a?

So the pen in the picture is on the left side of the "note". In the picture they are plastering all over the place he is taking a shot with his left hand. Can we figure out what handedness he was?

actually that's a boxcutter, pen is on the right

It makes me wonder if the sherif is not trying to stoke conspiracy theories to cover for some problems in the LAPD's response to this shooting and the investigation. I mean his department did leak a whole bunch of crime photos.

Don't be surprised if some scapegoat who has little to do with the crime gets dragged around the public square to make everyone forget about the loose ends.

Does the link not work, or has the page already been taken down?

Working for me..

this is what I get:

The requested page "/news/21963/watch-las-vegas-sheriff-says-he-thinks-shooter-had-ryan-saavedrahttp://www.dailywire.com/news/21963/watch-las-vegas-sheriff-says-he-thinks-shooter-had-ryan-saavedra" could not be found.

Malformed URL.

Perhaps the note both implicates other accomplices and points towards a political motive.

In the odd interview with his brother, he says something like this:

"He was an arm... (brother stops himself) .... I was about to say something disparaging about one of our military organisations"

So he was an army guy, why is everyone saying he was not an army guy and not a gun nut?

If someone were secretly in the army, what would they do?

He was going to say army of one. Watch it again.

Ah yes that is of course entirely possible

His brother still comes off as definitely unhinged and possibly unstable , so no surprise he is caught up in the mass hysteria of troop worship...

Seems like a bit of a scumbag tbh

Sheriff also didn't believe he acted alone. Thought what he did required too much to have been done alone.

I don't get why he would lock the 2nd room door if he was firing from both. Even if it locks on its own, wouldn't he try and prop it open to move in between the rooms freely?

does anyone have a link to watch this press conference? is it on youtube?

Is there any proof it was a suicide note besides that blurry pic witch proves nothing?

Breh! Sheriff Lombardo literally said, "Do you think this was all accomplished on his own?"

ALSO, CNN is even reporting that the note is "not a suicide note".

Completely irrelevant to this thread, but what if the security guard was the other supposed shooter?

If they were trying to cover up a suicide note, why would they include it in the picture of the hotel room to begin with?

"He was just requesting more towels from the maid" Sheriff probably

I don't know what these loose pieces of paper are in my bag.

I know they aren't suicide notes.

Why were pics of the room leaked, including an up close shot of the dead shooter but not the note?

Quit eating them! We need them doing autist stuff!

Do you mean "detest"?

Is my theory that it was a note that aliens left on their way past earth as good as that?

Sheriff looks exhausted.

Weird.

I'm pretty sure i read the same article on USA Today. It said she's not in custody but the FBI told her she will remain a person of interest in the investigation.

I'm worried that he might have been alone during the shooting but not in the planning. That could be why they are so dodgy. This was well executed and thought out. This could be the first of maybe more attacks.

CIA undercovers help radicalize and guide an idiot into being in the right place at the right time, with all the evidence a courtroom could want.

If you want to get down to facts, lots of rounds were shot from a room where they found a dead guy. That in no way means he was the one doing it. Or that he was even alone.

as long as you dont touch the barrel and the breach everything is fine. It'll obviously be warm to the touch, but still be fine to handle where it's supposed to be handled.

The weapon would have a catastrophic failure before it became to hot to touch in the handguards and grip.

Where is that novelty account when we need it?

custody is probably not the right word. she is a person of interest and the fbi are talking to her.

This is good, but it may have also been that he was using two different types of gun at the same time, or alternating, he did have many weapons in the place

I figured itd be debunked bc who the fuck keeps a random food receipt from a seemingly randon guy of a normal looking order for 3 days, plus the original post isnt even in english

That doesn't take much mental gymnastics to believe.

To add to your points, not only is he mentally and physically exhausted, he's never dealt with anything like this ever.

Leaving a note behind in the hotel room as is final middle finger as he planned on his remains to be in smithereens.

I think the FBI is also shutting him out on parts of the investigation and he's frustrated.

Ohh absolutely

Those hotel cameras never turn off. And there is always someone watching. Always. Casinoes don't fuck around when it comes to that stuff. They have facial recognition technology and the works.

I've heard the "explosive" was just tannerite. Not for bomb making. For target shooting.

she was quoted saying that there was nothing to worry about because she had a “clean conscience”

the North/HRC/Huma/Weiner/Sullivan/Awan/Podesta/GWB/Cheney/Libby/Rumsfeld defense.

govt speak at its sewerst.

Watch when he nods. It's like he's nodding to the coached checklist of talking points.

All I'm doing is pointed out it was weird, as was most of his speech

You asserted the cameras were recording and to think otherwise would make you a moron. That's not skepticism.

They aren't treating us like morons, they're treating us like the PUBLIC in an ongoing criminal investigation.

You're acting entitled to information because you for some reason think all the details of this investigation should be made public to YOU.

Where did this delusion come from?

That makes no sense at all.

That's why it makes perfect sense.

They're talking about the cameras he set up in the room. It is believed that these "cameras" were actually baby monitors, which do not record, only live stream to the monitor screen.

What do you think Counterintelligence does that makes this fact suspicious? Many agents work multiple postings over their careers.

The proper buffer or response to this is "I'm not at liberty to answer that question at this time, as the investigation is ongoing." Saying "I may say I don't know! But I really do, maybe!" is bizarre.

I didn't give advice to get better reading comprehension.

You have reading comprehension problems.

I had a good laugh, thank you.
