I just want to say that I truly love this community.
Thank you for all the inspiration, the frustration, the dedication, the trepidation and ultimately the illumination!
This sub is more important than most of us even realize.
Here's to the next 500k!

And a heartfelt "hello!" to the 3,000 new, totally organic "regulars" who showed up here just in time for the weekend's events
1 axolotl_peyotl 2017-10-05
There were over 11,000 active users last night...definitely never seen it that high.
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
I wonder how the traffic stats look like... (Mods only)
or are they too boring to share? :)
just curious.
1 axolotl_peyotl 2017-10-05
Here's from the last few weeks.
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
too boring to share. got it.
August spike was the Barcelona attacks on the 17th i assume...
1 BeholdThePaleSource 2017-10-05
About what I expected. Clearly when something like this happens, we'll get some genuine users poking around to see what's up, but I'd venture to guess more than half are here to gum up the works

Bear in mind that most of the other big subs would shadow-hide your comments if you didn't follow the media approved opinions to the letter, or question the absolute incorruptibilty of the Govt. with actual facts. This is one of the few places ordinary redditors are free to voice their suspicions about the incredibly questionable events happening.
I've also never seen so many requests to use an alt account to agree with the general sentiments being made here. It's a landslide of dissent and maybe they're finally waking up to the reality of their situation.
TL;DR? Go easy on the noobs, they're not used to this level of freedom being expressed :)
1 BeholdThePaleSource 2017-10-05
Absolutely need to give the noobs time to acclimate. I've noticed this period of acclimation often presents itself as snark, which makes it difficult to differentiate between actual users, and the disruptive ones.
What do you mean by requests to use an alt? Is there some notification system, or are you talking about individual users sending messages to modmail with informal requests?
1 IntellisaurDinoAlien 2017-10-05
New accounts are blocked for a week to weed out drive-by trolls, ban evaders and TopMinds-type alts, it also gives them time to lurk and get a feel for what is acceptable. If a new user makes a valid point and isn't just shitstirring or worthlessly parroting MSM propaganda the comment can be approved by us if they request it.
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
Do they know that?
Or do we loose people that are frustrated and give up after a few invisible/blocked posts?
Don't get me wrong, I like that idea! Just wondering about a notice...
1 IntellisaurDinoAlien 2017-10-05
There's an automod notification, anyone who wants to participate in good faith will either wait a week or ask. Anyone who doesn't want to contribute for good reason can go boil their heads.
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
Perfect. Thanks. Guess I lurked longer than that. Never got it :)

Thanks for sharing. Completely aligns with what I’m seeing in the comments, we’ve been overrun.
1 BeholdThePaleSource 2017-10-05
Yeah, the timing is uncanny. Seems to be a degrade/ flood with noise/ observation campaign.
1 DarthKey 2017-10-05
Longtime lurker here... just started posting in this sub this week.
I think more people are here now more so than ever before bc the whole country knows something stinks to high heaven about this. I'm noticing that people are easier to red pill, or red pilling themselves with this one.
1 axolotl_peyotl 2017-10-05
Well it certainly is an inevitably the most sloppy false flags they attempt to pull.
TPTB can't have it both ways: they want a 1984-like world of 100% surveillance, yet they still want to pull off these false flags and remain undetected.
Well it's clearly not going to fly anymore...
1 Kimbellinie 2017-10-05
My Facebook feed is filled with "this is all phony" stories and the official story is crap. Tons of articles talking about the physical impossibility of this etc. I don't know what it is but social media is rampant with conspiracies on this.
1 YoureAllRobots 2017-10-05
We're beginning to reach critical mass, finally. I have left wing friends posting stuff questioning this event, which has never happened. The tide is finally turning.
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
There is a distinct spike in the last few days...

1 chefwithpants 2017-10-05
I mean is that uncommon after an event like this takes place? I assume the same happened after Sandy Hook.
1 YoureAllRobots 2017-10-05
Yes, in here this happens everytime. That said, it never happens on social media sites until this event.
1 DarthKey 2017-10-05
Agreed. The masses posting about LV is making it rough for them to keep up with censorship, which has helped I think.

Keep reading, keep researching, keep communicating, keep fighting!

is there a comment limit to a thread? or could we - in theory - do a roll call for all active users. everyone comments once (or upvotes once? but downvotes?)
shower thought. shutting up now ;-)
1 DonvladimirTrumputin 2017-10-05
The_Donald just had the same celebration recently. Coincedence? Theres no such thing.
1 Pigeon_Impossible 2017-10-05
How long has the_donald been around as compared to r/conspiracy?
Whilst r/conspiracy has a certain amount of bots, TD would be at least 60% bots.
Don't link the two subs as I fucking despise TD as we as r/esist, marchagainsttrump etc. they are all cancer.
1 Big_Girl_Luver 2017-10-05
On the right side in both subs just above the moderator table it will say how long a sub has been around. R/Conspiracy 9yrs. ( I can't be assed to venture over to the other one you mention to check it.
1 Pigeon_Impossible 2017-10-05
Well then I can't be bothered continuing this.
1 iiloveredditt 2017-10-05
On any given day one can see 20-30 'users' who battle it out, put down that account for a day - and then the next day's 20-30 users say the same things, put down their accounts at the end of the work day....rinse, repeat, rconspiracy ruined
It's obvious who the alts are - they police this place and battle unwanted opinions that do not line with the hivemind.
Check out the 'new' queue and see who comments on what article...you'll find all the usual 20-30 suspects mentioned above. Someone's gotta change up the game - or silence those who point out the charade. It's tough is all, I feel for OP
1 zorrodelasombra 2017-10-05
I have my reservations about this... I think that we as a whole are being coerced into something sinister. My intuition just tells me to be wary.
1 flame-of-udun 2017-10-05
Congrats. /r/conspiracy is an inside job!
1 hoeskioeh 2017-10-05
Perfect. Thanks. Guess I lurked longer than that. Never got it :)
1 ddaniels02 2017-10-05
does reddit have a "true" account chart like twitter?
1 HornyBirdy 2017-10-05
Its a good thing to know that a good portion of the Mods are government shills. Its time to clean house in this sub.
1 no1113 2017-10-05
Holy shit I just noticed this. Why is there a small, hidden alien face on the upper left of the obelisk?
1 axolotl_peyotl 2017-10-05
looks like mod mr dong's logo...probably his signature :)
1 no1113 2017-10-05
Ha. Very cool. :) I like it!
1 d3rr 2017-10-05
smh

Nice choice of caption for the 500,000 users mods...
Might as well put up a "I <3 the deep state t-shirt" photo..
