Biggest problem on this sub, and I guess every sub, is that the majority of people do not read the linked articles before commenting negatively or positively on it. Too many times you need to tell posters to "read the article" after they write comments bashing the topic.

Words. Don't know what you're talking about. What?

eg: provided above...

I don't know what your problem with star wars is but your very wrong.

Haha

I read the headline, thats plenty. and you're wrong because I said so.

Links broken...wtf

I like to read the articles and post snippets of when relevant, but yeah, it is an internet issue across the board.

One reason is because some of us consider certain site's links to be GIGO.

Another reason, bad titles, usually created by the OP

I will continue to post comment's according to my habits.

Lot of people post garbage Wordpress blogs here too. They aren’t worth my time.

I haven't been really active on reddit untill recently. But the thing that really annoys ME, is those threads titles complaining about EVERYTHING. Almost like every other hour, theres 4 new ones, exactly like this one.

Lots of people with guilty consciences making excuses for themselves. Keep defending yourself for ignoring reading.

Yeah forgive me for not wasting my time browsing every horse shit, clickbait, pop up ad cancer-ridden, sensationalized title article, especially those which have been posted 20 times already.

People react to the most current and obvious information presented to them. Most of the people don't have the time to read the article.

If a person has time, the usual procedure will be to see a post on reddit, read that post headline , then go to the actual headline, then skim through the article, most of the people just read the first para or first 3-4 lines and sometimes the last line. Then they will read the article. After that they will critically analyze the article for any biases and form their own opinion about the article itself.

This top down approach helps to expand the information.

But as most people are constraint by time, what happens is an information contraction. The article will not be accurate due to inherent bias. The first para of the article will be skewed towards that bias and any counter-view will be hidden somewhere in the article where a fast reader will most likely skip. The headline to that article will be more biased to get most clicks. Then a redditer posting that headline will alter that also to gain more upvotes from like minded people.

People on reddit see that limited information and form opinion based on that. Further reinforcing biases which become part of a new article
